twenty:six - Kendyl Rose
The empty pages are meant for you
Space for you to journal
Or whatever you wish to do
It can be a story, an image, an item or two
My books have plenty of space
For your soul to fill too
There are so many souls that need to mend
So this is for every heart that has had to bend
Bend, but not break
So they can continue around the riverbend
This rose is for you
For it will never die
A flower for you
To carry every day
As proof you are alive
My body has become a museum
Filled with old and new exhibits
Hallways with the richest paintings
And rooms full of unique sculptures
Permanent ancient galleries
And new artifacts up on display
Curated from my own memories
A vast collection of history
The Travelers are the ones no longer here
The ones who had to leave too soon
For we do not know exactly where they go
But their honor always lives within you
I held back the rain
So you could get home before the storm
