Lily Allen has been left stranded at Heathrow Airport with her two children, saying that the situation is a "nightmare". The pop singer moved to New York in 2020, where she shares a home with her husband David Harbour.

The songstress posted a photo of her luggage on Instagram, penning: "@british_airways this is a nightmare. Stuck at heathrow with 2 kids and nine suitcases and NO suggestions as to how I get home." [sic]

Lily has two daughters with her ex-husband Sam Cooper: Ethel Mary and Marnie Rose. She moved to the USA after she found love with Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 48.

Recently, the actress opened up about the huge decision about swapping British life with an American one. Speaking on her new podcast Miss Me? on BBC Sounds, Lily shared: "One of the reasons I moved here is because I feel like it’s a much more encouraging environment in which my children can thrive.

"Just an example of that would be when I decided to do a play even though I'd never acted before and certainly didn't have any experience in the theatre.

"When I would tell Americans about it, they'd be like: 'Oh my God, that's so exciting! You're gonna learn so much, you're gonna kill it!'

"And then when I'd tell English people about it they'd be like: 'A play? Have you ever done that before? Aren't you scared?' Culturally, we're just very different."

The podcast launch happened just weeks after Lily admitted that having her two daughters "totally ruined" her pop career.

She told the Radio Times Podcast that she chose to prioritise her children over work, whilst also insisting that people "can't have it all."

Lily said: "My children ruined my career. I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop-stardom, they totally ruined it.

"I get really annoyed when people say you can have it all because, quite frankly, you can’t. Some people choose their career over their children and that’s their prerogative, but my parents were quite absent when I was a kid.

"I feel like it left some nasty scars that I’m not willing to repeat on mine."
