Fiesta Bowl Charities Grant Recipients

At the heart of the Fiesta Bowl Organization is a simple mission: to enhance organizations that contribute to the success of their communities through youth, sports and education. Through its two annual bowl games in the Valley, the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, as well as community events throughout the year, Fiesta Bowl Charities has selected 20 Arizona nonprofits through its 2023-24 Grant Cycle. Over 1 million Arizonans will be once again positively impacted by the Fiesta Bowl Charities Grants and Legacy Projects!

  • American Red Cross of Central and Northern Arizona  |   Educating and Empowering Everyday Heroes: A New Generation of Blood Donors 
    Funds will be applied to supporting their Blood Saves Lives programming in Arizona, specifically targeting educational efforts in Arizona schools and universities concerning the constant need for blood donations and underwriting the cost of several high school blood drives.

    Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation |   Fostering Success for Children in Arizona Foster Care
    Funding will provide awards to children in foster care for athletic activities, tutoring, camps, prom expenses, classes, swimming lessons and other extracurricular activities that are not funded in any other way.

    Arizona Science Center  |   Hands-On Science Discovery Programs
    Funding will provide immersive STEM learning at no cost by underwriting planning, materials, and delivery of Focused Field Trips and Science on Wheels for students, and the expansion of visitor engagement activities throughout the Center. 

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona, Inc.  |   Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona New Youth Mentoring Center
    Funding will contribute to the purchase and renovation of a building in central Tucson to provide an activity and mentoring center for the youth in their programs.

    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley  |   Girls Got Game at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley
    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley will add female-focused sports leagues to its Youth Sports programming. This investment will impact more youth and serve them better while creating equitable access to sports with 400 youth having the new opportunity to play in two female-focused sports leagues.

    Cartwright Elementary School District  |   Cartwright Mobile Scoreboards 
    With this funding, Cartwright School District will purchase large, mobile, indoor/outdoor scoreboards for five of their campuses. These scoreboards will have the flexibility to function at all sporting events because of their durability and mobility.

    Children's Museum Tucson  |   Fiesta Bowl Charities Bodyology Exhibit and Tours
    The exhibit and tours connect children, families, and educators who have limited access due to distance, physical limitations, financial hardship, and parental time constraints to the Museum’s in-person educational experiences. They will also provide Title I students with outreach lessons focused on sound and the anatomy of the ear.

    Fostering Heroes  |   Empowering Foster Youth Through an AZ Summer Camp
    Fostering Heroes will allocate funds for Cowboy Summer Camp 2024, benefiting 400 foster youth from different group homes over a month-long period. With 20+ volunteers and staff, the program will encourage personal growth, enhance confidence, and nurture positive connections for the youth.

    Homeward Bound  |   Passing Hope : Program for Youth Experiencing Homelessness
    The grant will support their "Passing Hope” program on their campus by updating spaces and materials and adapting a flex space to be used for additional programming. This program supports the individual needs and development of children; facilitates positive parenting and family relationships and increases resiliency.

    Lions Camp Tatiyee, Inc.  |   Special Needs Go-Cart Programming
    Lions Camp Tatiyee will purchase two four-seater go-carts and five two-seater go-carts for use in a youth go-cart sports program for youth with disabilities in Arizona. 

    Manzanita Outreach  |   MO Packs for Teachers
    The MO Packs for Teachers program provides boxes of hearty snacks for teachers to keep in their classroom to provide to students who need nutritional support. Manzanita Outreach will purchase nutritious snacks, packaging them in reusable boxes and making monthly deliveries. 

    Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation  |   Phoenix Children's All-Inclusive Thomas Campus Playground
    Funding will contribute to the construction of an all-inclusive playground at Phoenix Children’s Hospital Thomas campus to accommodate the 240,000 children it serves annually. The playground will feature adaptive and standard equipment, so it is accessible to children of all mental and physical abilities. 

    Ryan House  |  Sponsor-A-Stay
    Ryan House will support children with life-limiting or terminal illness with enriching activities in their Sponsor-A-Stay program, which offers short-term overnight respite care stays in their home-like medical facility.

    Society of St. Vincent de Paul  |   Youth Wellness through Sports, Physicals & Character Development 
    The St. Vincent de Paul Virginia G. Piper Medical Clinic will work with Title 1 high schools across the Valley to complete sports physicals and expand capacity of sports physicals for at-risk youth through in partnership with Be Better. Be Different. 

    The Salvation Army, A California Corporation  |   Kroc Center-South Phoenix At-Risk Youth Outreach/Leadership Program
    Funds will support opportunities to engage, educate and mentor at-risk youth living in South Phoenix. They will have access to a safe environment to participate in positive educational experiences, improve their physical health, and mentorship to become contributing individuals to society.

    Treasures 4 Teachers  |   Primary Sponsorship for Free School Supplies through T4T on Wheels
    T4T on Wheels delivers school supplies directly to teachers at their schools for free, eliminating any roadblocks to acquiring supplies for their students. The goal is to increase the number of schools served in tribal communities.

    UMOM New Day Centers, Inc.  |   Hope and Support for Maricopa County's Homeless Youth
    This funding will directly impact the children and youth in UMOM’s family shelter program through their supporting services and on-site Boys & Girls Clubs. Funding will provide safety and support to more than 500 children and youth in their efforts to break the systemic cycle of homelessness for their families.

    United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona  |   Putting the “Ground” in Playground: Play Space Renovation For Children With Disabilities
    UCP will use funds to replace 12-year-old artificial grass and 20-year-old rubber turf in two play space areas at its main North Valley campus. The play space areas are utilized by 300+ children, both with and without disabilities, from six weeks to 16 years old.

    United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO Arizona)  |   Youth Programs for Children from Military Families
    This will support USO Arizona operations and youth programs including Monthly Preschool Power Hour, Kids Camps, Back to School Fairs, educational holiday activities, USO baby showers and USO virtual programming.

    Verde Valley Wheel Fun (FUN)  |   Turning a Ball Park into a Bike Park
    Augmented with other fundraising, the funds will be used to construct a permanent ~4,000 linear foot mountain biking skills park on Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District property at Dr. Daniel Bright School located in Yavapai County, just outside the city limits of Cottonwood.

  • Ability360  |   Ability360 Youth Outdoors 
    Ability360 will purchase equipment for youth-focused outdoor activities such as track & field, archery, kayaking and more.

    Arizona Council on Economic Education  |   Money Minutes 
    Money Minutes will help Arizona students close their learning gap in math, while encouraging financial, social and emotional learning, with financial literacy math learning activities.

    Arizona Burn Foundation  |   Milo & Moxie: Wildfire Prevention™ (Milo y Moxie: Prevención de Incendios Forestales™)
    Funds will be used to translate, design, print and distribute Spanish Curriculum Books to educate 25,000 Spanish-speaking children and their families living in wildfire threat areas throughout Arizona.

    Arizona Science Center  |   Science Discovery Programs for Low-Income Children
    Fiesta Bowl Charities will underwrite the planning, materials and delivery of STEM education programs, including Focused Field Trips and Science on Wheels, for 5,070 children from Title I schools and low-income communities

    Assistance League of Phoenix  |   Fiesta Bowl/Legacy Delivering Dreams Bus School Wardrobe Delivery
    Funding will help deliver 1,250 wardrobe packages, including Fiesta Bowl-branded shoes, for children living in poverty. Packages will be distributed via the Fiesta Bowl/Legacy Delivering Dreams Bus.

    Back To School Clothing Drive  |   New Clothes, New Beginnings Cargo Van and Sponsorship
    Funds will expand the program by allowing the purchase of a cargo van to provide clothes to students through the school year and provide a sponsorship for the annual event. 

    Barrow Neurological Foundation  |   Barrow Brainbook Redesign
    A new, refreshed version of the Barrow Brainbook concussion prevention education platform will give student-athletes a multimodal experience that is more engaging and effective. 

    Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona  |   Investing in our Community, one Dream at a Time – Capital Campaign to transform the BGCCAZ
    Funds will be applied toward the transformation of our Club facilities to be welcoming, brightly lit, imaginative and curriculum focused.

    Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale  |   Game On! 
    Game On! funding will support our Biddy Ball Basketball and Flag Football leagues, including scholarships for athletes in financial need, officiating fees, uniform and equipment costs.

    Camp Catanese Foundation  |   2023 Summer Camp Catanese Expansion
    Camp will double the number of students served by adding a second week-long session in May/June 2023. Your support is imperative to our program expansion, ensuring that we can reach more low-income youth. 

    Chinle Planting Hope  |   Chinle Planting Hope Community Center
    Navajo children will be aided by helping Chinle Planting Hope develop a children's museum to provide imaginative play, hands-on learning, and literacy and STEM programming on the Navajo Nation.

    Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona  |   Farm to School Pantry: Healthy Kids, Healthy Families
    Funding will support the purchase of locally grown produce for distribution at 10 school pantries, located in underserved, low-income neighborhoods in the Tucson area and monthly family Nutrition Education Kits.

    Dignity Health Foundation - East Valley  |   Elevated Sports Medicine Care in East Valley Public School Athletics
    New equipment for high schools and junior high schools will elevate sports medicine care for more than 21,000 student athletes in the East Valley.

    Educational Enrichment Foundation  |   Leveling the Playing Field: Sports Scholarships and Uniforms for Disadvantaged Students
    EEF will provide disadvantaged middle school students with scholarships to cover athletic activity fees and uniforms for children can participate in sports of their choice.

    Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona  |   Programs for Children
    Funding will deliver transformative arts programs to children who have faced abuse, neglect, and homelessness. 

    Future for KIDS  |  Future for KIDS’ Sports Camps and A Day to Play Events
    Future For KIDS will now be able to host three one-day sports camps, Day to Play events and purchase sports equipment. 

    Girl Scouts—Arizona Cactus-Pine Council |   Girl Scout Mobile Building Space 
    A new Girl Scout Mobile Building Space will engage girls in design, architecture, engineering, building and construction, and partner them with role models from these industries.

    Grand Canyon University: CityServe  |   Grand Canyon University CityServe
    Funds will transport goods from retailers across the country into GCU's HUB. 

    HopeKids Arizona  |   HopeDay Events
    HopeKids will provide provide 10 high profile/large events that families ordinarily wouldn't have the time, money or resources to provide or plan on their own. 

    ICAN: Positive Programs for Youth  |   ICAN Mesa Summer Camp (Camp)
    ICAN Mesa Summer Camp's inaugural year will have 125 youth, attending Title I schools, in a free, eight-week program providing youth with social-emotional support, engaging them in fun academic activities, and keeping them safe during the summer. 

    Junior Achievement Of Arizona, Inc.  |   Providing Junior Achievement's JA BizTown Program to Primarily Low-Income Arizona Students
    JA will provide 431 primarily low-income and ethnically diverse kids with our JA BizTown program through the Fiesta Bowl "shop" in our Tempe Learning Labs, including the sports broadcasting industry. 

    Kids Can Succeed Foundation  |   Youth Entrepreneurship Program
    Kids Can Succeed will train the next crop of children for our premier business program. We focus on disadvantaged youth and teach business skills that are important for future employment. 

    Laveen Youth Sports dba The Z Kick for Life Foundation |   Luis Zendejas Foundation Youth Football Clinics
    The funds requested will be used to the Foundation's youth clinics throughout Arizona, with clinics in Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Casa Grande. Five of these clinics will be exclusively for special needs children.

    Military Assistance Mission  |   Education preparedness and financial needs 
    Funds will ensure our lowest paid service members have their basic needs covered to create the best possible environment for their children to thrive in their education and extracurricular activities.

    Muscular Dystrophy Association  |   MDA Arizona Summer Camp and Youth Outreach Programs 
    Funds will be used to cover expenses associated with MDA Arizona Summer Camp and MDA Arizona's Youth Outreach Programs, including Lou Gehrig's Day at the Diamondbacks, Muscle Walk events and the holiday party.

    MVP Foundation  |   MVP Leadership Academy 
    MVP will expand its leadership program for the MVP Academy and the life changing opportunities that are available to them.

    notMYkid, Inc.  |  BE WELL: Physical & Mental Health for Youth 
    notMYkid will create a well-being initiative of physical & mental health activities for youth in recovery, including behavioral health services and a Sport Court at our new campus.

    Read Better Be Better  |   Read Better Be Better  
    RBBB will provide targeted literacy instruction to 512 students across eight schools to improve comprehension, concentration, and the enjoyment of reading.

    Rosie's House: A Music Academy for Children |   Free Afterschool Mariachi Classes for Underserved Youth 
    Rosie’s House will helps students develop their full creative and personal potential while learning about and connecting with traditional Mexican culture

    Science of Sport  |  Fiesta Bowl Charities STEM Program  
    Funds will provide access to STEM curriculum utilizing football examples to middle school teachers and students.

    Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc.  |   No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town! AZ-Phoenix Chapter 
    In 2023 The AZ-Phoenix Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. will build and deliver 750 fully furnished beds to children ages 3-17 who sleep on floors, couches, and other inadequate situations without the luxury of a bed

    Special Olympics Arizona  |   Special Olympics Arizona esports 
    Funds will promote inclusion in esports by with an expansion of Unified esports to athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout Arizona.

    St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance  |   Giving Kids the "Fuel" to Learn 
    St. Mary's will use the funds to procure the food for, and distribute, weekly backpacks filled with food for low-income children. The grant will enable us to provide at least 3,500 backpacks.

    Team of Physicians for Students  |   Replacement of 10 outdated EKG Machines 
    TOPS will replace 10 outdated EKG machines.

    The Be Kind People Project  |   Technology INNOVATION. Improving Our Programs and Increasing Our Impact.
    Innovative & customizable LED technology for interactive walls and floor will improve outcomes & amplify the impact for over 50,000 students in BE KIND CREW assemblies, 150 BE KIND recesses, 100 after-school classes, & 20 SPED classes.

    The First Tee of Phoenix  |   Life Skills Experience Program 
    Funds will support our Life Skills Experience program, which teaches valuable life skills to children ages 7-18 through the game of golf. Funds will support program staff, golf course fees, coaches, training, membership waivers, and supplies.

    Treasures 4 Teachers  |   T4T on Wheels-School Supplies for Low-Income Students
    T4T on Wheels delivers free school supplies to Title 1 schools, serving an average of 50 teachers and 1,500 students in one trip.

    UMOM New Day Centers, Inc.  |   UMOM and Boys & Girls Club Partnership  
    UMOM partners with Boys & Girls Club with extended hours 2022. This programming will uplift each youth and provide the services and support needed to break the cycle of homelessness.

    Valleywise Health Foundation  |   Fiesta Bowl Charities Behavioral Health Sport Court
    Valleywise will renovate the current outdoor space at the Valleywise Behavioral Health Center – Mesa to construct a true sport court and recreation area for inpatient adolescent behavioral health patients.

  • A New Leaf | A New Leaf's La Mesita Services for Children & Youth
    A New Leaf will purchase a passenger van to replace old, unsafe minibus for transportation and provide engaging supportive and educational programming for 90 children and youth, ages 6 to 17.


    Ability360 | Youth Sports Wheelchairs
    Ability360 plans on purchasing youth sports wheelchairs for adaptive sports clinics, lessons, team sports and tournaments and will provide scholarships for wheelchair sports lessons.


    Accept The Challenge, Inc. | "Steam Health Education to Improve Whole Child Health"
    Accept The Challenge, Inc. plans to provide 3,000 underserved students in the Buckeye, Glendale and Isaac Elementary School District with daily structured aerobic exercise at home and in-the-classroom to improve student’s strength endurance (push-ups / sit-ups) and nutrition knowledge.


    Arizona Burn Foundation | Milo & Moxie: Wildfire Prevention 
    Arizona Burn Foundation will educate 100,000 children living in high-risk areas on how to prevent predictable accidents. The organization plans to distribute Milo & Moxie: Wildfire Prevention.


    Arizona Council on Economic Education | Get Your Game On for Financial Literacy!
    Arizona Council on Economic Education is creating new and enhance existing games (digital and in-person) to excite students to learn financial literacy, while encouraging them to get outdoors, work as teams and improve financial, social and emotional learning.


    Arizona Science Center | Science Discovery Programs for Low-Income Children
    Arizona Science Center will deliver STEM education programs for 5,000 students in Title I schools and low-income communities for the 2021-22 academic year. Programs will include focused field trips and science on wheels.


    Assistance League of Phoenix | Fiesta Bowl/Legacy Delivering Dreams Bus School Wardrobe Delivery
    Assistance League of Phoenix will purchase 625 wardrobe packages for children living in poverty and deliver via Fiesta Bowl/Legacy Delivering Dreams Bus.


    Barrow Neurological Foundation | Barrow Concussion Network Telemedicine Program
    Barrow Neurological Foundation will provide on-field telemedicine consultations to certified athletic trainers and consolations to evaluate athletes within 30 minutes for possible concussions to provide treatment in a timely manner and prevent returning to play prematurely.


    Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale | Getting Kids Back in the Game! 
    Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale will support year-round basketball leagues and Fall flag football leagues for 600 youth funds and will help with league costs – officiating fees, uniforms, sports staffing support and supply costs. 


    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor | Len Colla Branch Renovation
    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor's branch renovation means at least 200 additional Club members will be served. The renovation will take two open spaces and one small classroom and create three new rooms.


    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley | Sports, Science, & Spirit
    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley will serve 1,150 youth and teens between the ages of 7-18 who will be educated in sports science by participating in science lessons specific to their sport at every team practice. "Spirit's Sports Science Lab at Gilbert Branch will also be launched.


    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River | Transportation for Youth
    Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River will purchase a 15 passenger minibus to safely transport youth to and from school and field trips as well as provide more field trip opportunities with the ability to drive on highways/freeways and outside their immediate area.


    Camp Catanese Foundation | Summer Camp 2022 
    Camp Catanese Foundation will provide 350 low-income high school students attendance to summer camp 2022 where programs will include intensive science, math and college preparatory. 


    Children's Museum Tucson | Fiesta Bowl Charities Adventure Learning Outreach Mobile Classroom
    Children's Museum Tucson will convert a bus into a functional, hands-on mobile classroom with cabinetry, storage, tables/chairs and refurbish the exterior.


    Civitan Foundation | GO PLAY 602!! - MIDTOWN Multi-Sport Court
    Civitan Foundation plans to support construction of multi-court to offer year-round inclusive and adaptive sports activities for special needs youth.


    Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona | Farm to School Pantry Program: Healthy Kids, Healthy Families
    Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will purchase locally grown produce for distribution at 10 school pantries in low-income, under-served neighborhoods.


    Creighton Community Foundation, Inc. | Fiesta in the Neighborhood
    Creighton Community Foundation, Inc. will create a pavilion at the Fiesta in the Neighborhood Community Garden. The pavilion will host nutrition education and character-building activities for low-income youth.


    Down Syndrome Network | Tweens & Teens UP
    Down Syndrome Network will purchase a van used to transport program participants and volunteers to impact 3,700+ riders at the cost of $7 per ride.


    Friendly House | Academia del Pueblo (AdP) Competitive Sports League Expansion
    Friendly House will expand the after-school sports programming by increasing weekly and weekend practice and coaching hours. It will also assist in purchasing a van, uniform, trophies, and equipment to solidify a competitive sports experience. 


    Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library | Scottsdale Public Library, Civic Center Branch Storytime Room Renovation
    Friends of the Scottsdale Public Library will furnish their expanded Storytime Room that will include technology hardware, furniture, lighting, toys and books that will be utilized by more than 4,000 youth.


    Future for KIDS | Future for KIDS Premier Program Partner
    Future for KIDS plans to support programing through the purchase of a multi-purpose program van from San Tan Ford.


    Gabriel's Angels | Pet Therapy Program - Animals, Books and Children Program (ABC)
    Gabriel's Angels Pet Therapy Program will benefit more than 300 at-risk children through Animals, Books and Children program. The program provides first through third graders an opportunity to improve their reading skills and crucial core behaviors while interacting with the therapy team.


    Heart for the City | HFTC - League of Champions Football
    Heart for the City will purchase equipment for the League of Champions football program including helmets, shoulder pads, knee/thigh pads, uniforms, mouthguards and footballs.


    HopeKids | HopeKids Family Experiences
    HopeKids will host about 13 free, large events for 650 HopeKids family members and provide one full month of HopeSuite events focused on serving a specific HopeKids community.


    Junior Golf Association of Arizona | JGAA Programs - Youth on Course Arizona/Girls Golf of Phoenix/Financial Aid Assistance Fund
    Junior Golf Association of Arizona will subsidize 1,100 junior golf rounds and 200 youth will participate in Girls Golf of Phoenix to develop confidence, learn, play and engage with their community and create new lasting friendships.

     

    KABOOM! | Playground Build at A New Leaf in Mesa
    Will partner with Fiesta Bowl and SRP to build a state-of-the-art playspace that will benefit hundreds of children at A New Leaf in Mesa.


    Kyrene Foundation | Champions Scholarship Program
    Kyrene Foundation will provide youth an opportunity to participate in clubs, sports, educational enrichment classes and more through the Champions Scholarship Program.


    The Z Kick for Life Foundation | Educational Youth Football Program
    The Z Kick for Life Foundation will host six camps around the state to serve 1,000 children K-12, of all abilities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, genders and socioeconomic backgrounds.

    Love Muziq Operation 13:2 will assist with purchase a remodeling of a facility where they will utilize courts and classrooms for programs and community events and provide 350 kids ages 14-18 with a safe place to receive one on one mentorship after school and during spring and summer breaks.


    Mikey's League, Inc. | Inclusive Sports for Children with Disabilities
    Mikey's League Inc. will expand inclusive sports programming with additional flag football and basketball seasons. Sixty children and youth with disabilities will be provided the opportunity to play sports weekly for a total of 16 weeks.


    Paladin Sports Outreach | Paladin Sports Outreach Youth Sports Complex
    Paladin Sports Outreach plans to construct a multi-purpose field with soccer, football, and other activities. More than 4,000 youth ages 3-15 will be served through clubs and recreational sports. 


    Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation | Child Life OHMNI Telepresence Robots
    Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation will purchase 12 OHMNI robots for children to utilize from their hospital rooms to experience events, special visitors, and their family virtually.


    Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer | Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer - More Than A Club - Facilities and Foundation 
    Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer plans to construct a Performance Center. More than 200 players will receive financial aid money through their Player Assistance Program and Foundation.


    Playworks | Safe Return to Play
    Playworks will coach and train 1000+ teachers, recess team members and administration on the skills and techniques to provide safe, healthy, and inclusive play.


    Positive Coaching Alliance | Sports Teach, a Continued Legacy Supporting Youth, Sports & Education
    Positive Coaching Alliance will provide workshops are led by PCA Trainers who bring leadership (and sports parenting) experience, and who are equipped with expertise in research-based sports and educational psychology.


    Ryan House | Fiesta Bowl Adaptive Playground Equipment and Surface Renovation
    Ryan House will purchase adaptive equipment such as accessible swing set, playground picnic tables and chairs that will benefit 200 Ryan House youth and 300 siblings/family members.


    Save the Family Foundation of Arizona | Save the Family - Youth Enrichment & Achievement Program
    Save the Family Foundation of Arizona will help more than 650 homeless and impoverished children receive access to educational and extra-curricular activities including STEM, sports, field trips, etc.


    Science of Sport | Fiesta Bowl Football STEM Program 
    Science of Sport will provide access to STEM lessons that will focus on math, science and physical education to 2,500 middle school students.


    Society of St. Vincent de Paul | Youth Wellness through Sports, Education & Disease Prevention
    Society of St. Vincent de Paul will serve more than 300 at-risk kids from Title I schools in Maricopa County by providing physicals to participates in sports programs. In addition, 40 youth will receive 4-6 Every Little Step Counts (ELSC) course to increase their physical activity with a culturally grounded program accredited by the Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP).


    Southwest Human Development | Spirit’s Bright Futures for Kids and Families Project
    Southwest Human Development will help more than 9,500 parents/caregivers receive early language and literacy education, guidance, and resources. Approximately 6,810 high-quality, age- appropriate and culturally responsive books will be distributed to young children and their families across Maricopa County.


    Special Olympics Arizona | Special Olympics Arizona esports 
    Special Olympics Arizona plans to help about 100 youth/transitioning adults with and without disabilities in school-based Unified (with and without ID) and Traditional (ID) will participate in esports.


    Steven M. Gootter Foundation | Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) placed with Youth Sports Groups & schools in So. Arizona
    Steven M. Gootter Foundation will purchase 25 Automated External De?brillators (AEDs) and place with organized youth sports teams/organizations and schools in Southern Arizona.


    Lily's Pad | Healing Through Play - "Building an Indoor Playground for Immunocompromised Children" 
    Lily's Pad plan to complete the indoor playground that will include customized flooring and interactive play pieces. More than 12,400 immune compromised youth will be served per year.


    The Be Kind People Project | Grace's Groupies: Inclusion, Social & Emotional Education, and Movement for Youth with Special Needs
    The Be Kind People Project will offer 120 special education classrooms a targeted, comprehensive youth development education program that will impact 1,200 children with special needs in Arizona schools.


    The First Tee of Phoenix | The First Tee of Phoenix Life Skills Experience
    The First Tee of Phoenix will subsidize the membership fee for 125 low-income children who are unable to afford the program's annual membership fee. The Life Skills Experience program consists of three eight-week sessions plus summer camp, the curriculum of which was developed by experts in the field of positive youth development through sports.


    The Opportunity Tree | Fiesta Bowl Creative Commons for Youth with Intellectual and Development Disabilities in Casa Grande
    The Opportunity Tree will create the Fiesta Bowl Charities Creative Technology Commons in Casa Grande to serve more than 80 individuals annually. The Commons will be outfitted with technology equipment, computers and programming supplies and will provide after school programming three days per week for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilites.


    Treasure House | Life Changing Independence for Youth/Young Adults with Cognitive Disabilities 
    Treasure House will purchase a Ford Explorer for transportation for youth and young adults with cognitive disabilities. Twenty-nine residents will attend 5,968 one-way trips over the grant term.


    National Football Foundation Valley of the Sun Chapter  | Valley of the Sun National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete scholarship 
    Valley of the Sun Chapter National Football Foundation will fund scholarships at multiple levels to Arizona student athletes with the goal to increase lower-level scholarships to support the cost of higher education.


    Western School of Science and Technology | Maryvale Student Spotlight
    Western School or Science and Technology will host community events and showcase the talents of students in Maryvale through athletics, extracurricular activities and academic achievements. It will purchase and install a gym floor, sound system, projector, stage and outdoor bleachers.


    YMCA of Southern Arizona | Triangle Y Ranch Camp Challenge Course Tower
    YMCA of Southern Arizona will develop the Challenge Course that serves as one of the central pieces of programming equipment at our camp, and allows opportunities for children to face fears, build self-confidence, self-esteem, and their ability to work together towards a common goal.
