Scott Leightman

Biography

Scott Leightman joined the Fiesta Bowl in 2017 and serves as the VP of Communications.
 
Leightman provides strategic oversight for the Bowl’s communications, content, public relations and gameday media relations efforts, leading and executing plans to further the organization’s reputation throughout the year.
 
Previously, Leightman worked for USA Swimming as Director of Communications & PR, including all efforts during and after the Rio Olympic Games. He also was a member of the start-up executive team for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, served as Director of Communications for the Phoenix Suns, TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Buffalo Communications and worked in college athletics at four institutions.
 
Upon joining the Fiesta Bowl, Leightman returned to Arizona with his wife, a Phoenix native and two sons. Away from the Bowl, he enjoys watching his sons play sports, hitting the golf course, catching a movie and traveling.
