I just finished your book, about 20 seconds ago and I am very upset that the second book isn't out yet. Please write as fast as you can to get that second book out, Mrs. Beaty! I believe in you. In case it's not clear, this book has become my favorite book. And that is a title, no other book has really had. So as you can see, I desperately need this second book. Will it stop at a trilogy? I promise I am working very hard on #2 (THE TRAITOR'S RUIN) and it will be out May 2018, with the 3rd in May 2019. As of right now, 3 books are all I am contracted for, but the future is always wide open, especially if sales are good. I do have other, unrelated books I'm dying to write, too. Life is pretty busy, though, so I have to focus on what's directly in front of me most of the time.(less)

All three books in the series were amazing. You are my inspiration. I didn’t know people could make words do the things you’ve made them do. Was it hard to kill characters off? Does a character's appearance help develop the character? How do you overcome writer's block? Do you plot your stories in advance or let them unfold naturally? How do you build a believable world?
