Hello! I’m so happy you enjoy my writing!

DROWNED COUNTRY, the second book in the Greenhollow Duology, is out on August 18th. (so soon! I can’t believe it’s so soon now!) It’s about vampire hunting and Fairyland and lost landscapes and rising sea levels and how much of a melodramatic idiot Henry Silver can be, and Publisher’s Weekly gave it a starred review. If you want to do an author a favour, you can preorder it now! (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...)

After that... well, the next thing I’m working on is still SFF but decidedly not historical fantasy. I’m hoping at least some of my readers will stick with me for the ride :)(less)

Emily Tesh answered Mattydee's question: Emily Tesh
Two answers, equally true:

1) Absolutely not, the book was always conceived as a standalone and I think it works better that way. I personally prefer reading standalones to series and so I tend not to plan sequels!

2) But I do have about six thousand w See Full Answer

The duology is officially complete! I feel good about where I left Tobias and Silver's story and their relationship (they're happy!) and if I ever return to the Greenhollow universe - seems unlikely at the moment, but you never know - the story would See Full Answer

“Tobias had thought and thought about it, for four hundred years, until he’d reached the conclusion that Fabian must have loved him, after all, in his own way. That was the worst of it. The thing that woke now every year was always glad to see him.”
Emily Tesh, Silver in the Wood

“At once slow deep green rolled over him. He took a breath, and another, smelling old rotting leaves and healthy growth and autumn light. He felt almost as though he could have planted his feet and become a tree himself, a strong oak reaching up to the sky, brother of the old oak who ruled the wood.”
Emily Tesh, Silver in the Wood

“There was a time three thousand years gone you could have walked from one end of the country to the other never leaving the shadow of the trees. “The Green Man walks the wood,” he tried explaining. “But the wood remembers.”
