Born in New Jersey, John Royan spent his childhood in the Far East and Hawaii where he attended 13 schools in 12 years. Always the "new kid", he spent a lot of time in the school library where he developed a love for myths, legends and other fantastic tales, including 1001 Arabian Nights, the source material for his first novel. A writer of both novels and screenplays, John's favorite genre is fantasy but he also writes thrillers, science fiction and horror stories. ...more
