Lindsay Currie is a NYT and USA Today bestselling author of mysteries for young readers. Her most recent titles are It Found Us and The Mystery of Locked Rooms. She grew up on Nancy Drew and loves a good mystery. Bonus points if it's spooky! When she's not writing, Lindsay can generally be found looking for an adventure of her own. She loves researching the forgotten history in her city, Chicago, taking long walks with her family, and as pretty much everyone knows . . . Disney World!

Coming soon: IT'S WATCHING (Spring 2025, Delacorte/Penguin Random House) and THE HOUSE WITH NO KEYS (2025, Sourcebooks Young Readers).

Occupying someone else's mind is a wonderful thing, and that's exactly what I try to do when I'm fleshing out a new character. For me, writing is a peaceful experience, a serene reprieve from the chaos of everyday life. Quite frankly, even if I'd never ended up published, I know I could never give up writing because it's woven so tightly into my personality:)(less)

Hi Melissa!

CREED is fully fabricated and actually originated from a dream my co-author had, but we are aware that cults do exist in various forms all over the world. That's what drew us to write this particular story - the "it could happen" aspect is scary, perhaps scarier than your typical slash and gore horror is. We love a good monster as much as the next guy, but we also love exploring the darkness of the human mind!(less)

“Life doesn't always give us the choices we want. All we can do is make the best of things.”
Lindsay Currie, The Girl in White

“Today is October first. It barged in on a gust of chilly air with red and orange leaves on its heels. Morning fog settled over our narrow streets like a cold, wet blanket, and everyone—and I mean everyone—is already wearing their chunkiest sweaters. For most people I know, October isn’t just the end of T-shirts and flip-flops; it’s the beginning of the best month of the year. Halloween month.”
Lindsay Currie, The Girl in White

“Speaking up for people who don’t have a voice is important...It's the right thing to do, even if it's hard.”
Lindsay Currie, The Girl in White
