I'm an omega used as scent bait for feral alphas fighting in underground deathmatches.

I was told I’m an omega without a heat—a lie.
The truth? My heats were medically suppressed, and now I’ve been sold as a secret weapon in a brutal underground where feral alphas are pitted against each other in fights to the death. When the Omega Crimes Bureau raids the ring, my dream of having love with a real pack seems within reach, but freedom is never that simple.
I won’t leave my feral alphas behind, and what sane pack would accept living with two violent killers?

This is an non-shifting omegaverse standalone featuring an abused FMC finding love with a pack of alpha men where she doesn't have to choose and neither do they. Includes an established MM relationship. Content includes dub con, abuse/harassment, superheats, emergency heat intervention, miss-matched pack, found family, violence, betrayal, dom/sub relationship, thought of self harm.

Sierra Knoxly lives a double life. By day she is a reserved mom of young children where adventure means a walk to the park or trip to the pool. Once night falls and the cherubs are tucked into bed, Sierra dons armour (and amor) and rides a dragon into battle. She rains chaos down on her characters like an avenging angel of old and shoots their hearts with cupid's bow.

Sierra writes fantasy polyam romances with bi-sexual characters and plenty of MM. She started out thinking she was writing reverse harem, but couldn’t resist all the tasty possibilities between an intimate group of people.

Her love of mythical beasts and magic began at a young age. She once had an imaginary unicorn friend. Her gentle nature and fiery imagination leads to all around fictional steam. She lives with a mild fear that one day she'll get a knock at the door from the authorities come to ask about her questionable browser history.
When not writing or momming, Sierra loves bringing plants home to die and reading a reverse harem novel under a warm blanket.

I don't usually give one star to a book I finished but there is just so much work needed on this one. And I regret finishing it hoping for it to get better, because it only got worse.

Spoilers ahead!

Honestly, towards the second half of the book I was starting to think it was going to be a duet. This definitely felt more like Colt and Luka's story. The rest of the harem or poly relationship just felt like extras that weren't really necessary.

We get soo many hot bdsm scenes with Colt and Luka. But as soon as the omega comes the sex scenes with her are off page, super short, or just not that hot compared to what we get in the first half.

The omega is so one dimensional. There are some scenes where she comes off kind of stunted, as she should be due to her trauma. But then there are others where she is just so freaking bland.

The sex with the feral alphas came off super uncomfortable. Like they don't even know what sex is. They can't give consent and gives a gross childlike vibe. I would have loved to see more of their maturity or at least like make it so they have GONE feral but then can come back to themselves? That way it doesn't feel like characters are having sex with infants?

When Luka goes live with Rose on a sex website without her knowing and she ends up completely okay with it? She doesn't know any better and Colt definitely should have stuck to his guns a bit more.

When they finally get Grom? was it? There was no explanation as to how he even found them and it just felt kinda anti-climatic since up to that point he was spotted at a grocery store.. and that's it?

I literally forgot about Kye because he was just like a supporting character in my mind. He didn't add anything to the relationship and the drama with his Dad ended up being filler. Then he ends up being in a relationship with the guys that seems so forced. Like the chemistry just wasn't there for me.

What even was the point of Liam? I felt like he was just added to just have more people involved...

2.5/5.

This book is UNHINGED. It's definitely on the darker side, though I wouldn't call it a dark romance despite the main theme of trafficking and trauma. This book also primarily focuses on the MM relationships, both existing and new, which is fine for an OV novel but a little unexpected and kind of over the top, even for an OV.

What I liked:
- The first 30% of the book, I was hooked! Seeing the FMC's abuse on the page, and that of her two feral alphas... Engaging and so sad.
- The MMCs were pretty distinctive characters, but their involvement in the romantic side of things encountered a few issues (see below).

What I didn't like:
- There were far too many men--Rose (the FMC) and SIX alphas (Colt the pack leader, Luka his damaged sub, Kye the cellist fallen from grace, Zane the fighter, Uno the killer, and Liam the odd man out). That's just way too many characters to really feel any sort of attachment to any of them, even if they have distinctive roles in the pack. Liam felt especially shoe-horned in there at the end.
- When it came to the alphas' relationship with Rose, it definitely felt very insta-lust and not terribly romantic. There wasn't a ton of courting, and that's a missed opportunity considering how sheltered the FMC was at the beginning of the book.
- There were no chapters written from the POV of the feral alphas, Zane and Uno, but those would've been the most interesting ones by far. What is it like for them to acclimate to a civilized society? Is Rose the gentle hand that brings them back to sanity? The book is called Feral Alphas, and though it's alluded that being feral is akin to being packless and alone, the book really should've focused more on the relationships between Rose and her actually feral pit-fighting alphas. In fact, I'd have loved to read a whole book just about the three of them.

tbh this ended up falling a bit flat for me. i really liked the first 50% or so. but then so much stuff happened so quickly. also… oddly rose didn’t seem like the main character. it almost seemed like the pack was centered around luca or colt NOT rose. i didn’t like that. and so much relationship development was rushed in the last 25%. like liam and rose had NO TIME TOGETHER AT ALL. we saw like one conversation between them. liam only wanted cole and luca.

it just seemed in the last 25% the focus shifted away from rose. i feel like we lost hearing about HER journey. also my fav characters were def zane and uno and i wish we got way more of them.

i really liked the premise of this but it just seemed to fall flat.

Fucked up Tarzans meet bamboozled Jane!!

4.5 stars rounded up

So, let me start this by saying this was my first book by this author and I really liked it. I loved the premise. An omega, Rose, who has been held hostage and groomed since a baby by an illegal omega selling ring unbeknownst to her, gets sold to an illegal alpha fighting ring so her heat perfume will rile the alphas making these fight harder.

This is my crack!! I loved Rose's excitement and innocence finally seeing the world and interacting with those around her. Like freaking out the first time going on an elevator or her first trip to the grocery store. Those are the same aspects I love about Syfy romance, where the heroines are thrust into new worlds and experiences. Rose was sweet and caring. Desperately wanting to find her alphas and have a family. Above all, Rose wanted to love and be loved.

The Alphas couldn't have been more different, and I really dug them. I loved their different personalities and what they brought to the pack. Colt is the alpha pack leader, an Omega Bureau agent. Luka is a former gang enforcer Colt saved and rehabilitated, who now lives as Colt's submissive. Kye, a famous cellist who lives on the other side of the country has been fighting with his father to holdout for his scent-matched omega. Then there is Mufasa and Scar, the feral alpha fighters who were raised from little boys to be "dogs" and killing machines. The have never even been taught to talk, and they tried to fight and kill anyone stupid enough to get close.

These feral alphas were like Tarzan on steroids. Again, they brought that aspect I love of SFR and Monster romance where you have vicious dominant heroes that need to be tamed and don't know/conform to societal rules. It even had a language barrier which is another little trope gem I love.

This is dark, which I love. I really liked the storyline and got sucked in really quick. I enjoyed everyone coming together, trying to do everything they could to make the pack work. There were highs, sweet moments, and lows too. There was also spicy heat up the whazoo, without becoming too much or repetitive as some RHs do, trying to get everyone in and included.

So, with all that being said here is my slight issue. As the guys are all together as time is progressing some start having feelings and becoming sexual together as well. Colt and Luka were in a relationship from the get-go already. Rose was fine with it and open to everything. I have no problem with that, but my preference is even in a RH there should be exclusivity between the group only. I don't like random hook-ups or casual friends with benefits on the side. I also prefer the omega to be the center of the pack.

Here, towards the end it comes out that another guy outside the pack with no interest in Rose has a crush on one of the other guys. It at the end and two of the pack alphas start having a relationship with this other guy. One: The book ended almost right after this happened and then it jumped to a year later Epilogue. I actually felt it would have worked better if this had been split into two books (maybe ended book one after Rose matches to the ferals) so there would have been more relationship building and bringing this new guy into the pack. Two: With the way it stood where two of the alphas were dating/sleeping with this other alpha who wasn't interested in Rose or being with all of the pack together it was just a skosh too polyamorous for me. Rose didn't mind, but like I said I like my omegas to be the center of the pack. So again, that's just my preference and personal tastes.

On the whole, I really liked it. It wasn't like any other OV RH I've read this year. The sex wasn't too drawn out or overly repetitive like so many RHs. There was lots of action and lots of drama and I just ate it up. The next one looks even more crazy with another omega rescued as she tries to find her alphas. I can't wait for it.

One word- messy. This book is just all over the place. Also note that the female omega and the feral alphas are not the main characters. This is really a MM book with the main focus on two male alphas, their story and then adding in other characters. The sex scenes with the feral alphas are uncomfortable af. These are men who can’t speak, have no concept of basic human interaction, are more like “dogs” or animals than people.

They should’ve just make Luka as the omega here because damn this book is all about him and colt, the real omega and other alphas is a side character. Just couldn’t care about these characters fr, I give up after 60%

This was a little different from other OVs I've read (in a good way) and pretty entertaining.

Some small tidbits that really slapped: omega sniffing through scent samples to find her matches at the omega center, a caring Dom ("did you drink water today?" type of Dom), cam creator, feral alphas, and primal tendencies. The way the beginning is pretty dark before getting a touch lighter.

Main gripes: Feral alphas being called dogs--I understand it in the context of the fighting rings, but the way they're treated later on in the book was....not ideal. The name she chooses for one of the feral alphas-excuse me, what? LMAO. There's a lot going on at once in here, so it may come off as *too much*. The ending wasn't exactly what I wanted but I'm still satisfied in the end.

Overall, I still really liked this one and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author!

hated this

I think my highlights and notes speak for themselves, but I’ll highlight the general complaints I have.

This is not Rose the omega’s story, this is Luka’s story. And Luka should have been an omega not an alpha for all his whines and anxieties. He behaves like an omega, it is beyond unbelievable that he was such a bada$$ in the past. Rose and the 2 ferals are nearly irrelevant to the story and dear lord I wish they weren’t in it.

I did not feel good reading about the ferals during their intimate scenes (both where they were forced to observe and ones where they were coerced into participating).

Speak of terrible icky feelings Luka and his filming of an unknowing Rose during an intimate act was unforgivable, I already hated the lack of consent in this book BUT that was too far. He did it all for money, while living in a dead incredibly famous composers house, full of expensive antiques, and previously unpublished works of music…but yeah dirt poor because Luka and Colt are too stupid to even open their eyes. Even after Kye tells them of the treasure they possess STILL nothing just shrugs and so what. You are barely able to feed yourselves because you don’t have money but yeah no this response to finding out you could sell this “junk” for thousands gets a shrug and snide comments about it making good kindling.

SPOILERS…just couldn’t finish

Colt, Luka, and Zane are the only reason I made it as far as I did into this book. And then Luka ruined it at about 80% and I stopped. At this point, Luka betrayed Rose and Colt for a really stupid reason, and Liam is the biggest waste of space ever. I was confused for the longest time about his pov, why we were reading it, but I guess he’s in love with Colt and has been for years. He has a funny way of showing it. I never understood Kye, either. There was just no attachment to his character at all, he always felt out of place. So yeah, 80%, her two feral alphas are still feral, there’s been no improvement with Scar, I hate Liam so much, they’re financial situation is even worse, and Rose is kind of this one dimensional character. She’s an omega, she loves her dogs, and that’s all we know. The ending could not possibly justify how most of the book is them NOT being a pack. I do not recommend this book.

i have no idea how to describe this book. there are moments of it that i really love. most notably liam and his crush, and kye and luka's mutual growing affections. rose is a fine character, but she doesn't really have a lot to offer to the story. i like that she wants to facilitate the pack and wants to really make sure that everyone is comfortable and getting along, but in terms of her development as a person, she doesn't really show anything?

colt is a hard character for me, because on the one hand, i realize that being the pack alpha as well as a cop is incredibly demanding, and that's also not even counting his role and responsibility that he took on in regards to luka. on the other hand, colt's power trip thing nearly ruins everything and really seems to be completely out of character for him. the entire time we're given to understand that he's a little surly, but generally communicative, as well as completely in love with luka. and it's just not believable that after 14 years of a happily committed relationship, that he has so little trust and faith in luka that he throws him out of the house without so much as a conversation.

but the part of this book that really makes me uncomfortable is the feral alphas. uno and zane have such potential to be incredible characters, and i wish we got to see more of them. they don't even get chapters from their perspective, which really does make it feel like these men are pets and not people. which then makes the sex scenes feel incredibly uncomfortable. it feels as though the pack is taking advantage of their instincts, because none of these men have the ability to give consent in a meaningful or fully informed way. and there's almost no mention of actively trying to rehabilitate them??

rose sits on the floor and plays uno with them, and they give them baths and food, but i just...wish there were more time dedicated to...i dunno, like reading to them, teaching them the alphabet, teaching them to read, teaching them about emotions and emotional responses??? granted, at the end of the book, in the epilogue, you do learn that they are progressing in their rehabilitation process, which is great. but at the same time, there's so much time in the main narrative that could be repurposed for that use.

TLDR be aware going in that the story likely isn’t going to be what you think it is. I really liked the beginning of the book, and I think it has a target audience who will enjoy it. I was just disappointed it wasn’t about Rose and the feral alphas.

Without any spoilers, Rose isn’t the actual main character of the book - Colt is. Rose doesn’t change much, if at all, from beginning to end of the book. There is no growth of her character, no flaws overcome, no lessons learned or new skills developed. Colt and Luka both experience specific moments of learning and growth, however, and are clearly the main relationship in the book. Which is fine if that’s what you were looking for, and like I said I’m sure there are a lot of people who will connect with their journey and the representation they offer.

But if you’re interested in the feral alphas, their re-introduction to society, their backstory and any chance to get attached to them, you won’t find it. Rose is almost impossible to connect to because she’s more of a prop than an actual character. If you’re interested in the story for either of those two reasons, you’ll like the first 50% of the book and then find the second half flops. It just made me sad because I was so invested in the feral alpha story!! There was so much to be explored there!!

Uncertain ⭐⭐⭐3.5⭐⭐⭐

I'm not sure how I felt after reading this book...🤨 Sure there was a HEA but it didn't really feel like that in fact.
This book didn't really follow the classic trop of OV. The guys weren't rich, only two formed the pack at the beginning and were in a D/S kind of relationship living the lifestyle (not only in the bedroom but in everyday life). Then, the others giys didn't really interested me, especially Liam who was either completely socially inadequate or the most stupid guy I've read about.
The concept of feral alpha, and their rehabilitation was original. I like the idea of them having the possibility to find their mate.
This book wasn't bad but for me, some elements didn't click together. The dynamics between some characters didn't feel right, sounded a bit fake or forced.

Loved, loved, loved this one. Omegaverse at its finest.

Found family, enemies to lovers, age gap, dom/sub, work complications, what’s not to love.

The twists in this book kept me hooked right to the end. I so need more in this universe from Sierra.

This was recommended by an author I follow, and I’m glad I picked it up. This book is an omegaverse why choose romance. Some omega stories are more RH, but this was truly why choose and that made it so much better! I loved the relationships all the main characters had with one another.

The feral alphas was a very different concept. I was worried that they would feel too much like pets or animals, making romantic elements weird. But somehow it struck a nice balance and made them fit well with the story. The angst at one point was heart wrenching, and I was worried about how it could possibly resolve, but they pulled through and had their HEA.

Talk about thinking outside the box! This book was truly an amazing omegaverse story with a very different concept that I had yet to see. The plot was original and innovating. The characters were well developed and likable. You couldn't help but to root for the characters. The relationship development between Rose, Colt, Luka, Kye, and the ferals, and the relationship development between the men themselves was masterfully portrayed. The feelings this story evoked were a thing of beauty. It was witty, action packed, provocative, and suspenseful. The steamy scenes were top notch, but the story itself was just incredible. Honestly one of my top 3 omegaverse reads ever. Cannot recommend enough.

Absolutely loved it!!

I was completely snared by the blurb before the book was released. I preordered it so quick and was thrilled when it showed up on my Kindle. I devoured the story. I did not know or realize this was Ms. Knoxly's first OV. I'm pretty new to the genre myself, and I loved the OV world created here. The characters had great depth, and it was hard not to love them and the family they formed. Thank you Ms. Knoxly, for the friggin awesome world and the fantastic story!!!!

Summary - Everyone deserves a second chance

Oh where to even begin! I loved this book so much, it has so much heart, hope, sadness, trauma, down on your luck, second chances and don’t let me forget Heat…lots of heat and spice! This Omegaverse goes into Feral Alphas and the wrongs people can do to others. I don’t want to spoil it for you but trust me you need to read this, I hated for it to end. This is polyamorous so swords will be crossing.

What a read!

This is my first book from this author. I pre-ordered it when my sister sent me the blurb. I was super excited about a new omega verse book where it wasn't just the omega who was treated as a victim but alphas as well. The whole feral alpha idea was amazing and I loved it. I fell for the freak alphas as well as Rose's regular alphas.

*spoilers ahead*

When they raided the compound and Colt saved Rose in was like awww, it was such a sweet moment. But I was also worried about Mirada aka Zane as he's later known because he had just been dragged off after protecting Rose. Once she was safe I was like what about the alphas. I was worried about them as well. I was so happy the author saved them as well as the omega's from that omega smuggling compound. I got super excited there was a male omega there as well. I hope maybe the author will be writing a book about him and some of the other omega's and maybe the feral alphas from Rose, Uno and Zanes kennel as well. I absolutely recommend this book. I couldn't put it down. The smexy scenes the action, wondering if they would succeed with the ferals. Also when she had the super heat and she yelled for Zane I was like oh yesss!! I hope for more of this world from this author.

Pulled an all nighter to read it, mixed feelings.

I DOWNED this book and might recommend it to anyone casually looking for a *long* (500+ pages) why-choose A/B/O book with M/M… but I’m kinda bummed the feral alphas didn’t get as much attention as the other pack members. Like they’re the titular characters! I would’ve loved some POVs chapters from them!

A lot got wrapped up suddenly at the end, so it didn’t flow as smoothly as in the beginning. Solid start, kinda rocky ending, needed more feral arc, ultimately goodish.

I liked this author’s past bisexual polyamory stories, and hope the other feral alphas get attention and perspective chapters in the next story.

Spice: 5/5
Angst: 3/5

a lot of MM

So I went into the book thinking it was an omega verse - and it is… but it isn’t. There was more MM than anything else, and only a handful of MF/MFM. Otherwise it was literally just MM and that’s it. There was also a lot of Sub/Dom and I wasn’t expecting the extent.
Which I’m personally not into. I liked the idea of the ferals and stuck with it though. I would say I skipped a good 1-2:4 of the book because there was so much MM, and again I’m not into that. I don’t mind it in RH books, but I not as the main smut.
I did love Rosie and her ferals. Her sweetness and how everything was new to her.
I liked Luka but also got a little miffed that were alluded to all this terrible stuff he’s done and got NO back story. I spent most of the time expecting him to turn omega because everyone - EVERYONE!! - has a crush on him and essentially just want to bang him. Actually I lie. One of the ferals only wants Rose, the other wants everyone? I dunno.
I liked Liam also but didn’t see the point in him because he has nothing to do with Rose other than taking a statement and then otherwise just has a crush on Colt and then thats it so his chapters could have been used to give us back story on Luka.

Ultimately this was a good book. The story was different, and not what I expected going into it. But good and nothing really negative to put out there :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The story did dragged on a bit. I feel like the author was more concerned about the smexy scenes than the actual plot itself. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the book! I think there was a missed the opportunity to dig deeper into the corruption of the world that Sierra built. I love all the characters! They were so much fun to learn. I do wish that Uno got more page time. I felt like the author started to develop his character and then stopped. He didnt really get much of an ending like the other characters in the epilogue did. A second book would clear all that up, and I would read it in a heartbeat!

I am so glad I saw this

I saw and pre-ordered this from a post in an online group a month ago, and oh my gosh, it lived up to its hype BIG TIME. I absolutely loved it. Not only is it a trope I adore, it shows how beautiful true polyamory can be, and allows for the love and connection between so many people to shine through.
I hope there will be more, possibly with this pack, but even if it's with others from the fetal alphas I'd be so thrilled. This will definitely become a favorite reread!

Bown down to the master

Yes. A thousand times yes. I need more Feral Alphas please. Please keep writing, don’t ever stop. I loved the story line. I loved that instead of turning your omega into a mess because of what occurred to her you made her stronger because of it. I wish I could see the after for Zane and Uno but gosh that was such a good story. Following and looking forward to much more from you.

This amazing read gave my emotions a solid workout, had me feeling like a was hanging out on the edge of my seat and sent my temperature soaring. I felt so deeply for all these characters that I was all up in my feels. Rose's history definitely made my heart ache, and I found all the guys hot and swoony.

Amazing

I had been eagerly awaiting this books release, and am not disappointed. Great story line, great characters, great development. Some parts were predictable, and some parts were surprising. I loved it. Wish I could reread it from the start, with out knowing what happens to enjoy it the same way again.

It was disappointing. It had a lot of potential.

I really enjoyed the beginning but the storyline didn't focus on the main character enough. The author should have spent more time exploring the Alpha fights and the feral Alphas in general and less on the other lives being lived by the Alphas. Especially the relationships Colt and Luka had with each other and the other men. I have nothing against MM relationships but not when it takes from the main story. It really felt like it was Colt and Luka's story.

The blurb and title were very misleading. I kept reading this book hoping to see more of the feral Alpha's but I was disappointed with the limited and superficial attempt made by the author. Especially Uno. His character was barely explored.

I enjoyed my read but the story was overall too focused on Colt and Luka, didn't see enough of the ferals and Rose changed every chapter to end up being a little bubbly girl when it wasn't like that at the start. Also if you include Liam in this, why do I get no scene with the actual omega when it's omegaverse ? Nice plot, just not developed the way I expected it to be when I picked it.

Loved this RH Omegaverse. Also loved that the feral alphas and that they received love in the end.

Colt is the perfect Pack Alpha in this mismatched pack. All the characters were unique and Rose was their perfect Omega.

This was SO good. I loved this. The concept of feral alphas and how hard the pack tried to rehabilitate them. The pack itself and all the dynamics. Rose and all her alphas... *swoon* And seeing naive Rose learn about herself and what she wants and how she goes for it was SO good.

I devoured this!
