After reading this graphic novel, I was really greening with envy on how lucky Jordin is because she have Curtis Wiklund as a husband. Women are all praying for someone to have like Curtis on their lives because of how he really adores and care for his wife.

Apparently, this affection and love of Curtis to Jordin is vividly shown through the illustrations in this book. If only men all resembles Curtis, then women will have merry and meaningful lives. And now, I'll wait or maybe I'll seek for my very own Curtis.

This was beautiful and heart-warming!

Such a cute collection of drawings the artist gave to his wife in their wedding anniversary. He sketched a new drawing every day for a year.
This was delightful and shows you the positive side of marriage.

The illustrations are adorable and have an authentic feel to it.

Reading this collection was refreshing, and I highly recommend checking it out!

I'll see you all soon after I finish sobbing over how adorable this was <3

Curtis's illustrations have a good variety to them, the way that his relationship over time with his wife was heartwarming and realistic. I would have loved to see longer captions with the illustrations but for a quick read, this did satisfy me.

Curtis Wiklund begun a 365-day project of creating a new drawing every day for a year. He would craft them at bedtime and present them to his wife in the morning, like a little 'good morning' and 'I love you' all in one.

I expected to find this a sweet anthology but not to be so moved by its contents. Uncomfortable or tense moments were provided alongside loving and intimate ones, providing the reader with both an insight to this specific relationship and providing emotions that are universal for all.

I'm not really sure what I expected, but this is, in a nutshell, a man's homage to his love for his wife. It's sweet and cute, but nothing I would ever purchase if I picked it up in a bookstore.

It was lovely seeing Wiklund’s varying art styles and how it worked well to show the mundane yet amazing times spent with a partner.

This just made me miss my husband more 😩

This is basically a compilation of drawings about the everyday life of a couple. Us is a heart-warming book because the author, along with his wife, had a 365 day project: she would take a picture, and he would draw. He didn’t know how to get inspired, so his wife simply told him “draw about us”. And this is the result.

He uses different techniques, mediums and some drawings are more detailed than others, but what’s important here is that every single one of these pages captures the essence of what, I dare to say, a healthy relationship is.

Curtis show us the little things (that are actually big, important things) like just spending time together, doing silly things, celebrating each other’s success, budgeting, learning how to live together and giving meaning to the word home. I think that when two people are meant to be together, even the most mundane activities feel like the perfect moment to share it with your significant other.

I had the curiosity to look for their IG accounts and they look like the happiest couple ever. They seem like a beautiful family (now they even have kids!) and I honestly, these are the books I like to see: those that really come from the heart of people.

Even though the book doesn’t have a storyline it does have a lot of love. I love how much the author loves his wife. The artwork is good every once in a while, but the artist has explored a lot of mediums in this one book. I’m not a big fan of his other mediums.

I think everyone that reads this gets the same impression, this book is super cute and it warms your heart to see how much Curtis loves his wife, but that's it. It's a super cute way to show someone you love and I was awwing through all the pages but it's nothing special or nothing that I'll remember for a long time.

This book is an illustrated love letter to the author’s wife. Everyday for a year he created a drawing for her and this is the end result. Some are is simple yet endearing. Others are more detailed and complex. You can see the love that pours out in each of the drawings of the everyday activities this couple is engaged in. This is love!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

Well, on the one hand this was gorgeous, and I loved the fact the author/artist drew/painted something every day and then gave it to his wife as a gift (and then later is going to publish it as a book). But on the other hand I expected sketches, but instead the book is filled with various forms of art. From digital to painting to sketches to cartoons. From wikipedia: “Sketch (drawing), a rapidly executed freehand drawing that is not usually intended as a finished work.” <- this is what I expected. Quick sketches that he made in the late hours. Not digital art, paintings, or completed works. It really was a chaotic mess to me, not only because of that but because of the huge amount of styles he draws in. From simplistic stick figures to cartoons to realistic. And that is a shame.

But as I said I did like the fact the artist made this for his wife. It is really sweet of him, and I think it is a wonderful gift to give someone on Valentines Day. Not something from a store, but instead something from your heart. Something made with love.

And you could also quite clearly see the love in the sketches. Well, the ones that featured the couple. :P I wasn’t that particularly interested in the sketches of him alone.

The ending was so sweet, and I want to congratulate the artist and his wife!

But even with the sweetness, the overflowing love, I just didn’t enjoy this one as much as I hoped I would.

ظريف جدًا جدًا، لكن هل فيه أي ابداع أو أي شي مبهر؟ وهل كان يحتاج يكون كتاب؟ ما أعتقد. بس ظريف.

" I often cry when I draw us (or even draw just jordin). It usually happens when I get some basic shapes first sketched in, and suddenly I see the whole finished picture in my head, and it breaks me to tears, because I’m so overwhelmed at how beautiful the final image is in my head, and how thankful I am for the people in it."

The illustrations vividly show a man's love for his wife that made him draw different moments of his life from ordinary to romantic to happy to sad, that they lived through. It is filled with so much love, warmth and adoration that I could literally feel them radiating from it.The authenticity made it even more heartwarmingly beautiful❤️

"Jordin has natural eye-shadow. It’s crazy, but amazing. How is this happening? I don’t understand how it works ....It’s so weird, and cool. Mine definitely do not do that. Give me the science (more blood under the skin there?). I want to understand the science behind why she’s so pretty."

I actually read his other illustrations, also the descriptions from the blog.It made the experience wholesome.
