‎Sinful Mafia Prince

Rate this book
“They took something that belonged to me—
and nothing will stop me from getting him back.”

The Fiores have made their move.
In a last-ditch effort to save their crumbling empire, they’ve managed to take back their heir, landing a blow to the Rossettis—in particular, Dom.

But failure is not an option for Dom, and soon he finds himself at a crossroads:
Follow his father’s orders and leave Luca to the wolves, or defy the boss and get back what he lost.

The question is, will Luca choose to trust Dom to keep him safe even after all he’s put him through, or will he put his future in the hands of his long-lost family instead?

As the war between enemies reaches its breaking point, both Dom and Luca face the most difficult decision of their lives.

Do they fight for their families or do they fight for each other?

Sinful Mafia Prince is the second and final book in USA Today Bestselling authors Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank's M/M Mafia romance duet. It should only be read after Forbidden Mafia Prince.

*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.***

Sinful Mafia Prince is the epic conclusion to this mafia romance duet. After the previous cliffhanger Dom makes it his mission to save Luca, who he feels surprisingly possessive and protective over. Luca's rescue occurs rather quickly, then the story quickly moves in a different direction. Due to his rescuing of Luca, Dom and him must hide away while things simmer down.

What happens next is my favorite aspect of this story, which is while in hiding in Italy, Dom slowly allows his feelings for Luca to finally come to the surface as he finally starts to let down his guard. He reveals his sincere and earnest feelings for Luca, which makes for such swoony moments.

In a world where his true feelings are forbidden, this complicated love story is full of heart and mystery as to how everything will eventually pan out. I was so excited to see how Dom and Luca would earn their HEA in this complicated and impossible setting. I was not disappointed and enjoyed every moment in this story.

"What does my mouth make you wanna do?"
Dom looked over at Luca and lowered his glasses. "Either punch it or fill it. I can't decide."

setting your expectations low truly does wonders. the whole story is just on the right level of being serviceable. it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.

"As Luca stood there and watched the night swallow him up, he wondered how in the world he'd gone and fallen in love with the devil himself."

This second installment in the Malvagio Duet, ‎Sinful Mafia Prince by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine, picks up at the huge cliffhanger ending that had us all shrieking at the end of Forbidden Mafia Prince.

Luca and Dom's story continues with a daring rescue and a frantic night flight to Italy to lie low while all hell breaks loose back in Long Island. The relationship between these two complete opposites grows and deepens as their forced proximity exposes them to all the lies and secrets from their past. The steam is HOT in this one, but so too is the romance; what we get a lot less of is the action, and honestly, I missed it. I feel as though the warring mafia houses had a lot more to offer to the story.

That said, we do get our HEA for Luca and Dom, but rather abruptly - I would have liked to see how everything played out in the two years after they returned from Italy.

That said, it was a good read and I enjoyed the duet, although if I had to pick, I did prefer the action in book 1.

4 steamy ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really wish I could say the second book got better, but it didn't.

I still didn't feel the chemistry AT ALL. These authors wrote Halo and Viper?!?!?!

The whole mafia war 'thing' was really anticlimactic, and there were so many pages dedicated to a flashback that really could have just been summed up in a couple of paragraphs of present day discussion, and that should have been in book one as far as I'm concerned so we actually have a chance to care about the characters! By book two I just wanted to see how it ended and I didn't particularly care one way or the other. I HATED the constant unneccesary flashbacks in the Confessions series too so no suprise I still hate them now.

The end was really rushed also which was a shame as it could have swung my rating to a three star if it was paced out better. I wanted to see more of them making the decision to be together, how it would be taken by 'the family' after the dad kicked up such a fuss about it and how it was super forbidden, and how Luca would deal with returning to his family and school. I wanted to see how they made the relationship work! There was a really nice epilogue but that's the only positive, because we don't get to see anything from when Luca arrives home until the epilogue a few years later, which was just super disappointing! Less time should have been spent on the pointless flashback, and the boring filler, and then they could have shown the actual relationship when it wasn't in a hostage situation.

I hate that this duet sucked so much!!

As a conclusion to the romance between Dominic and Luca, this book is excellent.

As a conclusion to the Mafia conflict between their two families, I felt like a big chunk of the story was missing.

The pacing throughout this book is definitely more languid, it's a slow build up of the barriers Dom has tightly closed around him coming down, it's a steamy exploration of their attraction.

What it's not is any kind of explanation about what happens after the big plot twist moment

It was all a tad strange. Still, that's my main criticism and the rest of the narrative I found worked pretty well as the romantic atmosphere of their getaway location worked its magic.

The book makes no excuses for the violence or Dom's behaviour, which I found to be a refreshing decision. Dom is a bad man, his family have done bad things, that's acknowledged and not waved away with platitudes.

Luca falls for Dom in some measure because of those steely traits, not in spite of them and Brooke and Ella also skilfully avoid it feeling like any kind of 'Stockholm Syndrome' (although that's its own controversial theory now any way!)

There's a good bunch of secondary characters and the atmosphere of being in the location is second to none, but this duet rests almost totally on the shoulders of Dom and Luca and the authors carry that off in some style.

#ARC kindly received from the authors via Valentine PR. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Luca + Dom #2

This book starts right where Dom 'lost' Luca at the end of the first book.
The Fiores got him now. Will they let him live?
Will they want him to take over the business?
The poor boy has no clue about anything mafia!
Dom's dad wants him to forget about the boy.
But Dom wants his Luca back!

description

Well. I still hate mafia romances. 😂
But after that exciting end in book #1, I just had to read this second one!
And it was okay.
It was exciting. Dangerous. Sweet. Sad. Sexy.
I really liked the vacationy moments in Italy.
I liked seeing a more 'normal', un-mafia-ish side of Dom.
It was really sweet and very heartbreaking when Dom tells about his family's past.

I still still would've preferred only one book for this love story.
Even though I felt there were lots of open ends and missing info about things and people.
But I kinda liked it in the end - I will never be a mafia romance fan - but I really liked those two boys.

SINFUL MAFIA PRINCE was a great finale
for this sexy mafia M/M duet!

MM Romance
Mafia
Duet 2 of 2
Not a stand-alone
3 Stars ⭐️

🎵Narrated by Aiden Snow🎵 💗

I definitely liked this one better than the first in the series because there was more romance and the sex scenes were fire with Aiden Snow narrating them but I feel like the authors forgot this was supposed to be a mafia book. The first book had a bunch of mafia mayhem happening but in this one Dom whisks Luca off to Italy because they are now unsafe and must flee. Dom has finally admitted to himself that he wants Luca and has feelings but because of Luca’s family, it feels like it’s hopeless. We learn Dom’s backstory and why he wanted revenge but the revenge plot happened in a very lackluster way with Dom not even getting to participate and it just felt weird. I didn’t really care though because I stayed for Aiden Snow’s voice narrating this fuck hot sex 🥵 and couldn’t care less that the plot wasn’t plotting. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had low expectations anyway but even I was surprised how everything wrapped up real easy in a bow by the end. It was dumb af but I didn’t hate it. All that said though this one of those books I would have DNF’d had I not been listening to it. 😂

Sinful Mafia Prince is Luca and Dom's conclusion and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. This picks up where book one left off with Luca being taken by his father under the watchful eye of Dom. Understandably, Dom is angry at himself for letting it happen but he also acknowledges that he feels way more for Luca than just a pawn to move on the chess board.

Dom goes against his father's wishes and gets Luca back...but at what cost? Luca is more confused than ever at what his life has become. Dom wants and needs Luca but doesn't want to admit it and in their world...being gay can be a death sentence. Faced with choices Dom never thought he'd have to make, what will he choose? Will Luca fight for their love even if Dom doesn't?

This was a complicated story but I didn't feel like it had a lot of depth. It was steamy and quite sweet at times but I never felt like we really got to know Dom. Luca was a good character but was too much of a pushover for my liking. There was a lot happening but then nothing really happening. It felt like we were told a lot of things but never had the chance to actually see it if that makes sense. However, despite its flaws it was an enjoyable read and I'd love to know more about Chef.

Overall, if you're looking for a mildly suspenseful and angsty MM mafia romance with a dominant anti-hero and a hero that's a big softy then give this a go!

I did it! I'm done with Dom and Luca's amazing duet and I miss them already! Someone send hugs, because I need anothe book of them!

Ella and Brooke never end to exceeded my expectations. Their stories are like home to me. So comforting and heart warming. I know exactly what I'm in for, while also being pleasantly surprised by the new journey I get to follow.

Dom and Luca's story continues right where Forbidden Mafia Prince let's off and let me say without saying much, you are in for a ride and a bunch of romance.

The first book was much more action packed, we still get a bunch of action in Sinful Mafia Prince, but I loved that we got to see the characters in more comfortable scenarios too. I'll just hint we get to go to Italy and it's beautiful!

The final book for Dom and Luca follows the ramifications of their actions and whether their blooming love can make it in the Mafia world!

I am a sucker for anti-heros but most of all those who have such a soft heart inside the hard exterior. Dom is all of the above and so much more. The way Luca breaks down his barriers and Dom opens up. The way Dom may not have a way with words but shows through actions time and time again how full his heart is, oof I was falling hard!!

Luca too, I need to scream about this sweet, strong headed man. He fights to get a place in the new world he's been forced into. He stands his ground and builds respect with all those around him. He becomes stronger than he was before and both his and Dom's journey is beautiful to watch.

They make each other stronger and getting that HEA was the cherry on top! I'm sad to say goodbye to them but am so happy to have been on this journey!!

Thank you Brooke and Ella for sharing these stories with us. May your brains never stop conjuring them up!

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

****

I haven't got my hands on it yet, but Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine never let me down!!

After that cliffhanger in Forbidden Mafia Prince I'm excited to jump back to Dom and Luca's story!

⭐︎ 4.5 Stars Rounded Up! ⭐︎

Much improved from the first installment.

Things pick up right away as in the last book it ended with Luca being taken and Dom determined to get him back.

Which he does, almost too easily, but what follows is glorious as they hide out from the Fiore crime family and Dom's father finally takes the last steps to get their revenge and mostly get rid of the danger.

In Italy, where they're hiding out, Dom loosens up in a way he never has before - which isn't much, considering it's Dom, but it's enough that he's wearing some casual clothes, he's making some jokes here or there, and smiling and laughing more than he probably has in 20 years.

This is Luca and Dom really fall in love with each other. What was missing in the first book was thankfully present here.

Now Dom is Dom and he never fully lets down his guard and pours his heart out, but he lets Luca in way more than he does anyone else and that's enough for me. He even tells Luca he loves him at the end, which is amazing.

My only real gripe with this second installment, is the slight abruptness of the ending. We get to the very end where these two agree to be together and then that's it, epilogue time. Which I'm happy and thankful we got, but it's 2 years in the future, so we don't get to see how these two really settled into being a couple with Luca continuing on the path to being a doctor and Dom staying in the mafia lifestyle.

It felt too abrupt and then all the sudden everything was hunky dory. Maybe if we'd learned about the hardships they might have faced afterward, would have been nice to know. Dom was so worried about people finding out his sexuality, and being with a man, but then they just decided "fuck it" but then everything was just hunky-dory in this very homophobic Italian Mob when he came out and was with Luca? Hmm, don't buy that.

Just a little something about that would have been good. Even if it was just a description about what happened and how they handled the threats and everything.

But other than that small niggle near the end, this was solid, and while I can see how the first installment would make someone not want to continue, I urge you to if you haven't read this duet yet or are only on the first book. The connection, the romance, it comes in this book were it was barely even present, if at all, in the first book.

See, if this had been one long book, this would have been practically perfect for me. Because the relationship development took its time - something these two lovely authors don't always do the best - and their characters remained consistent. While I would have liked Dom to open more in the first book, he didn't, and it took a lot for him to open up in this one, took some time, but it did happen.

I loved seeing these two just be together, without worry, and start to fall in love. It really helped to deepen their connection and make it believable that these two end up together. It had continued the way of the first book, I definitely wouldn't have bough it.

But for a hard man like Dom, it takes someone special to make it past his walls upon walls and see the man behind the Mafia Prince mask, and that man is Luca.

If for nothing else, I recommend reading this series for this second book alone. And now that the full duet is out, getting into the this one right away helped, because the first one frustrated me in many ways, ways in in which this second installment fixed and improved upon.

So definitely a thumbs up from me. I'm so happy I waited until this second installment was out and got to the good part of Dom and Luca's romance. This second one is definitely a winner in my book.

Two massive thumbs up from me!

My Ratings for The Malvagio Duet:

⭐︎ Forbidden Mafia Prince: 3.5 stars (my review)
⭐︎ Sinful Mafia Prince: 4.5 stars

Read both books back to back...
so, definitely enjoyed that.

I absolutely loved what a total dynamite Luca grew into.

As for Domenico Rossetti - OMG – easily one of the sexiest characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about…🔥🔥🔥

And that whip scene in book 2– sweet baby Jesus – I just wanted MORE of him with that whip …🥵🌶️🥵

Book 1 takes us through the hostile, everyday life in the mafia world while book 2 focuses more on Dom and Luca growing closer.

And while the pace understandably slows slightly in the second book, the story remains engaging.

Thrilling, exciting and a definite must-read.

It’s not always easy finding authors that tell compelling stories thereby commanding the most influence among readers – but these two most definitely do... 💙💙

Overall book rating: 3.5

Combined review on both books one and two.

I enjoyed the read. I liked the characters.

To be honest, I found Chef very interesting. Pity we didn't get more
of him.. like... a whole book or two of his own? I for one would not
skip that.

So I liked the idea behind this story. I found Dom intimidating, not
sure if he scared me though. I don' think he did, but then again, I'm
known to enjoy dark reads. So that might be why.

I think the pace of the story was kind of fast as the books are not
really that long. It made things happen that made me lift my eyebrows.

So basically I obviously did not read this one for the mafia part of the
story. I read it for pure entertainment. I decided to enjoy it for that
reason.

I liked Dominico, I liked Luca. I found the story way to short and
therefore the ending was totally not what I wanted. It felt rushed
and abrupt.

Still a nice pass of time though.

The anticipation and excitement for this book after the last has finally been sated. I absolutely love this Malvagio Duet.

The tone of this book was quite different to the first which worked really well. It felt more personal to the characters if that makes sense.

We pick up straight after the last book and from there it’s full speed. You get answers to questions from the first book and you get a really good look into the background of the families and who they are.

Ella and Brooke really delve into Dom and Luca’s personalities in this book, you feel more of a connection to them both individually and together. It blends beautifully from the first book in the build of that relationship.

I have to say, I love Chef, I would love for him to have his own book. He made me laugh in this with his quick wit and he is just simply a crazy psycho. Such a great addition and loved his friendship with Dom.

The ending to Luca and Dom’s journey was perfect for them, it felt right and I just love them even more. What a journey they have had.

The setting of the plot was fantastic, the heat was sizzling, the pacing was just right and I just thoroughly enjoyed this book and it will definitely be a reread. There is no end to Ella and Brooke’s talent when they merge like this. Brilliant.

The first book in this duet was really good. The second part was kind of long and not very exciting. There happens nearly nothing and the end is kind of rushed because you don't get a lot of details but it would be important because during the two books they always tell you how this relationship is not possible so how do they make it possible?

Also the Part with the paid parents... I mean you just love them anyway even if they were lying to you your whole life?!

I enjoyed the first book of this series. I love the pace and the tension .
Then Dom comes to term that he wanted the last Fiore..
It didn't sit we with me that he's still listened to his father to make decisions instead of talking to Luca and let them discuss about it.
The ending felt rush, but I still like this one, though not as much as the first installment.

This is a much sweeter, slower paced book than the first. I'm glad the author didn't drag it out into a trilogy like many authors do, when two books would suffice just fine. :)

Probably my least favourite series. Not much character development/growth. I didn't feel the chemistry between Dom and Luca. The dialogue was boring and repetitive. Luca asks too many questions and Dom barely answers them - he just emotionally shuts down instead.

Shit happened, mafiosos died, Dom and Luca were whisked away to Lake Como in order to fall in love---ergh, sorry *cough, cough* I meant "hide". For some reason I expected more steamy scenes in these two books and they left me...thirsty. And the ending was a bit abrupt. Dom and Luca return after everything is over and decide to be together, bam!, cue the epilogue 2 years later when Luca finishes Yale Med. Like, where are all the important steps and in-between scenes!? That's what makes a story, well, a STORY.

Once I started the finale of Dom and Luca’s story, I couldn’t put it down - I loved the chemistry between these two!

After the cliffhanger at the end of Forbidden Mafia Prince, I couldn’t wait to see how Dom and Luca would find their way back to each other. Things get messy and a little scary and force them out of the country to one of the most beautiful places - Lake Como. Out of NYC, they have the opportunity to get to know each other on an even playing field, where Dom isn’t a terrifying mafia prince and Luca isn’t the forgotten heir from a rival family.

Even with the ups and downs they go through in this story, they grow closer in an unexpected way - seeing who they really are when they’re not confined to the penthouse prison. They’re unafraid to express themselves, get steamy and see where things go with their relationship despite their families’ rivalry. Dom is stoic and controlling as ever but he opens up for Luca in a way he never expected. And Luca’s smart mouth and lack of filter are on full display and makes Dom fall for him even more. I wish there was a bit more development in their relationship before the book cut to the epilogue, but seeing these two so in love and making it work was really sweet.

I really liked Chef’s character and wanted to see more of him with Dom and Luca - it felt like we didn’t get a fulfilling ending to his story. As always, I wanted more of this story - not only because I really liked Dom and Luca together, but also because I feel like things wrapped up quickly and left me wanting more development for everyone all around.

Sad to see this duet come to an end, but can’t wait to see what Ella and Brooke come up with for us next!

I'm SO glad we didn't have a very long wait in between books, because that cliffhanger at the end of book one was a doozy!

Luckily, things pick up right where that book leaves off and we get a wonderful, romantic conclusion for Dom and Luca.

(Also I had to go look up with Malvagio means in Italian and it's "evil" - so here I was thinking that the word had something to do with their family names lol)

It's hard to really summarize this book without giving anything away. I can say that the time that Dom and Luca spend together in the second book is fun, sexy, and escapism at its very best. I love that they truly can get some time together as ordinary men, getting to fall in love with each other and learn more about each other.

I adored their ending. I wish we had gotten to have even more moments with them as a couple loving each other freely and openly. Definitely go ahead and read this duology straight through and enjoy one lovely read with Luca and Dom!

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Gay Romance Reviews for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sinful Mafia Prince is the second part to the Malvagio Duet. This series does need to be read in order, if you're planning on picking it up, because the first book ends in a cliffhanger.

While I'll still read anything Ella Frank puts out, this duet fell really flat for me, on the whole. I enjoyed Luca's character and appreciated that he really learned to speak up for himself in this book. Dom is an ass by nature, and that remains true throughout the two books. I really thought the war of the two families was going to be more climatic than it was. When everything just wrapped up so neatly it was kind of a disappointment.

I was looking for drama, heartache, lots of hurt/comfort and I didn't get that here. The sex scenes were written well, though, and there were several in this book to make up for the lack of scenes in the first book.

Because this was an ARC, there were some continuity errors that I hope are addressed in the final published version. If you read this, let me know your thoughts!

Perfect ending! 😍

Finally I got to read the end of (or rather the beginning 😍) Luca and Doms story. And it was perfect.

This book has a slower pace then the first in this duet. Don’t get me wrong, there still mafia men doing mafia things in this one too. 😏 But this one is more about the relationship building I think.

I love the way Luca slowly sneaking in to Dom’s heart, and that Luca is questioning he’s feelings for this hard and dangerous man.

When they run off to Italy to hide, we will learn why he is the way he is. And it’s a sad story. 🥺 and off course we will learn why Lucas parents gave him away too.

Slowly Dom is opening up to Luca and it’s wonderful. 🥰
The trip to lake Como is a game changer for their relationship, and when the threat is eliminated they go back home.

Both are faced whit questions about how to go forward. Lucas whole existence is no longer as it was, and can Dom be a mafia heir as an out gay man?

I especially liked that we got Vincenzos pov a few times at the end. That was a good move.

And off course I love the characters, they are perfect. 😍 … and chef! 🤩 I

The end was a satisfying HEA, and I loved the prologue. 😍

This duet is in my opinion best read back to back.

I highly recommend this book, and the duet as a whole. 😍

Happy reading!

This one was not as over the top as the first one, but it was close.

I actually really liked this one more, it felt more like a romance, it had the right vibes.

Ok, so in this one we start at the cliffhanger the first book left us on. Dom does come to the rescue, of course and all sorts of over the top and some gory things happen.

At the end, they do finally stop being dingdongs and admit that they love each other.

While I had to wait to read this last half of the duet, I suggest reading them together as to not lose the momentum.

I enjoyed this, but I didn’t like it as much as the first book. Where I loved Luca standing up for himself in the first book, I found him downright annoying in this book. Knowing how terrible the Fiore’s are he stands and argues with Dom when he is saving him. I found it irritating. I almost quit reading, but I wanted them to get their HEA. The second half of the book made up for the first part. This is not a stand alone book. The two books together tell one story.

I’d say… listening to Aiden Snow for 12hrs was (almost) worth it. It’s also the only reason I caved and picked it up.

Splitting this story into two books and cashing in twice was as unnecessary as always, tho. The plot was lame and rather simple, the characters bland.

My verdict: pretty uneventful for a mafia romance (if not to say boring) and overall forgettable. *yawn

This was such a sweet finale to the duology!!!
Dom and Luca were so cute together.
The book had it all. A bit of action angst, steam and chemistry!
I enjoyed the bonding between our couple I iist wished the ending was so quick to wrap up everything. Still, this was an excellent mafia romance with heroes that will stay with you.
I recommend it!
