They think they know me, but they have no idea.
As a professional Domme, I see men and women come and go. But no one ever sticks around, and I like it that way.
I have a secret to protect—at all costs.
So when the cocky, handsome, and submissive Clay Bradley weasels his way into my heart, I do the one thing I’ve always excelled at. I push him away—forever. And like a good boy, he listens.
But a few months later, during a chance encounter, he shows up again, but this time he isn’t alone. He has the stunning Jade on his arm. And she has a request of her own.
She wants me to teach her.
I should say no. Training a woman who makes my knees weak is bad enough. But this particular woman is dating the man who still has my heart. It’s a recipe for disaster.
Made worse by one simple fact—they know my secret.
And they won’t let go.
But how can I protect what’s mine if I’m holding onto them too?
Jade and Clay are the only ones who truly see me and the only ones who know… I’m so much more than Madame.

Note to self
I saw a reel on author’s insta that depicted performative f/f scenes fetishized for the male gaze. Didn’t like how she portrayed MMF, likely won’t like how she portrays MFF. ✌🏻 her M/F stuff is hot, I’ll stick to that.

CAN I MAKE IT MORE CLEAR THAT THIS IS A NOTE TO SELF?? STOP COMING FOR ME TELLING ME I GOT IT ALL WRONG OR THAT I CANT REVIEW A BOOK I DIDN’T READ!

3.5 Ultimately Underwhelming ✨'s

Well, I honestly don't know how to feel..... This was good, much better than the last one; however, I can't say I'm not underwhelmed. First off, I feel like the main characters and their relationships were disproportionate. Being an MFF, with both women having a relationship with the man, currently or previously, there was background, however, the FF relationship was lacking in comparison. The current girlfriend of the MMC, didn't really have a role in my opinion except to pull the other two together. I really felt like she was an add-on, and I did not love that at all. This is also her first relationship with a woman and she literally just dives in. No dialogue on her sexuality at all when she previously states she is straight, other than her being like oh I'm attracted to this lady, I must be bisexual. There was really not much background to her character besides her being young, sweet, and naive; her character was not fleshed out compared to the other two MCs. I also can't stress enough that this was way too long, the lack of communication was so stifling and unnecessary, it drew the book out 100 more pages than there needed to be. Honestly, tell me why this is almost 500 pages!?!?! I'm sad to say goodbye to the Salacious Players Club, however, what I'm most sad about, is that these last two books have put a damper on the series for me.

More than seven years earlier, Eden St. Claire reinvented herself, starting her journey as a Domme. Always holding herself back from people, it isn’t until a client, Clay Bradley, finds a weakness in her carefully constructed façade that she contemplates the trajectory of her life.

I personally struggle a bit with FF (and MM) in a poly. Not because of the dynamic, but because I’m a brat who trends toward jealous. Since I envision myself as the FMC, when all the attention isn’t on “me,” I get a little bratty. All that said, this journey of self-discovery and exploration is incredibly beautiful. It’s inspiring and emotional, empowering and, of course, hot as hELL!

Salacious Players Club is going to be hard to leave. The world that Sara has created feels so incredibly real with such special characters and powerful stories.

i’m honestly so sad that i didn’t enjoy this book as much as i thought i would, especially with it being the last book in the series

don't get me wrong, i was really enjoying the book at first, but then things slowly started to decline

there was one quote in particular that just rubbed me the wrong way and i was just irritated the rest of the time i was reading

“Who wouldn’t be attracted to her?
But am I attracted to her?
All signs of the moment point to yes.
Does that make me bisexual?
I mean…sure, I kissed a few girls in college, but only when I was drunk. And I occasionally watch a little girl-on-girl porn if the mood strikes, but again…who hasn’t?”

i’m not sure if i’m just thinking about it too much but that just really bothered me. to me, writing that was icky. now y’all can tell me if i’m just being crazy, but i fear i’m not this time🧍🏾‍♀️

and of course yes, it’s 100% okay for jade to question her sexuality, but was there no other way to express the feelings she was having…? off rip she says she’s straight, but she’s attracted to eden, so she must be bi, but the gag is we really don’t even talk about her sexuality again😭
what the book was really trying to portray is that she’s edensexual

along with absurd crossing of boundaries and the lack of emotional connection between the characters, this final book just wasn’t for me. sadly i just set certain exceptions for this book and they weren’t met

also, i know it isn’t just me who has noticed this, but there seems to be a shift in sara’s writing, something is changing and i don’t know if it’s for the better

thank you to sara cate for an arc in exchange for an honest review

"Love is nothing more than a form of control. And from here on out, I will be the only one in control."

Eden St. Claire.
Madame Kink of Salacious
Confident, In control, Badass.
That is what she exudes and that is what she is.
She doesn't let anyone in and that is for the best, according to her.
But when she runs into the one client who changed something in her, she starts to question if that is really for the best?
Especially when his girlfriend looks so delectable.

"She's the kind of girl who stops you in your tracks. She exudes the sort of beauty that makes you either want to be her or kiss her.. or both. Stunning and perfect like a gemstone."

Jade has always known safe.
Clay is safe. She loves Clay. She would do anything for him.
But something changed the moment they saw her.
Jade will do anything, even learning something new to her to make Clay happy.
But she first has to learn to do it for herself.
And who better to learn it from than from Madame Kink?
It's just to learn right?

"It's not about Clay anymore, even if that's how this started... but more than anything, I'm smiling because I know I get to see her again, and just being in her presence feels like a gift."

She broke my heart.
She made it clear that I was just a client, nothing more.
I moved on. I am trying to move on.
I love Jade. She is it for me.
Then why can't I forget about Eden?
And why does she have to pop up looking so damn delicious?

"She altered my brain chemistry until I was nearly unrecognizable to myself. Then she broke me."

I recieved an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

✨ 4.75 stars ✨

Eden St. Claire never lets anyone in. Not anymore. Clay is an example. He got his heart broke. Then he found Jade and he loved her. But when Eden surprisingly makes her way back into his life, what will he do? And what will Jade do?

"It's weird how much she's infiltrated my mind already. And it's weird how much I want her to."

I am so sad this series is ending. It breaks my heart but this book was the perfect completion to this story.
I have waited for Eden's story since "Praise" and it was everything I wanted it to be.
Eden is trying to protect herself because of her past and what she has to protect and she will not sacrifice that.
Clay found his happiness again after Eden, but when she comes back into his life everything changes.
Jade loves Clay and just wants to make him happy and have him open up to her. So what if she asks for a little bit of help?

"There's a part of me that's dying to see just how dirty she can get. It wouldn't be the first time I've suspected I have a corruption kink."

The playlist for this I loved!! It was mysterious and sexy and ugh just everything.

Well, I don’t know what to say, mixed feelings and all.

On one hand, I’m sad that the series ends here, some of them were easily my fav comfort characters. On the other hand, this wasn’t my favorite book in the series, I wanted to love it so bad, and I even tried, but I couldn’t.

Things I liked:
I loved Jack and Clay - they were well rounded as individual characters
The smut was smutting
Emerson, Ronan and everyone making a cameo, my heart was just so full with their little appearances
The ending - the way it ended felt like a closed loop to the story, considering how Praise began, I loved it.

Things I didn’t:
Eden or Madame Kink as you know her. Her character was something else in the previous books, we all knew her as this headstrong woman who fully accepts herself. Here, she was nothing like that. She was indecisive, closed up, and under confident at best. There could’ve been so much more to her character. She never properly apologized for her actions and just felt like her whole personality was based off of the ONE bad thing that happened in the past. If nothing else, I at least expected Eden to be accountable for her actions, but alas, I was deprived of that too.

Jade and her dad - what was even going on there? The whole drama about keeping the relationship secret was so unnecessary tbh.

Pacing - no one falls in love in a week, Jade. No one. She went from straight to bi to falling in love with a woman within a week. This was so unrelatable, she wasn’t even given a chance to explore her sexual orientation at all.

Clay’s mommy issues were portrayed bigger than they really were, and how that closed up was very convenient. It was so anti-climactic like “You hurt me, mom” and she says “Oh I’m sorry”, and whoosh, everything’s good? Like I said, convenient.

This book felt like it was written in a rush, as if the author couldn’t wait to just get it over with. The poly aspect of it wasn’t as good as it was in GMM. Honestly? This series could’ve ended with Ronan's story and no one would’ve batted an eyelash. .

I’m leaving off my star rating because I just don’t know how I feel at the moment. This is just me writing out my thoughts so that I don’t just 1 star this and call it a day

—-

I spent most of this novel feeling Eden wasn't the main character in her own book and was just an accessory to Clay & Jade. Which was incredibly disappointing because if this had just been Clay & Eden it would have been 5 stars.

Whenever Clay or Jade talk to Eden, it's always “we” and “us,” solidifying them as a unit. They happily say “I love” when talking to each other about feelings. The only time Clay ever says “I” to Eden is in the flashback sequences.

Then, after the inevitable third-act conflict, Clay focuses on fixing things with Jade first. I get that you could say that there was the previous break-up, which had him feeling like it was truly over…but it just felt like it was reinforcing the idea that Clay & Jade were the primary couple. And even when they do get around to meeting with Eden, Clay’s focus is on protecting Jade - wtf?!

This again left me feeling like Eden was an accessory/third wheel in her own novel, which was super disappointing after loving her character in the prior books.

tl;dr: this is actually Jade’s book, and Eden is again relegated to a side character.

I can’t believe this series is over! As a whole, I loved it so much. The characters had such a great found family feel and I loved that there was a good bit of emotion in each book. The fourth book (Ronan and Daisy) is my top fave, and I loved that we got a bit more of them in this!

Eden is a character I’ve been curious about from the start and I was happy to get her book. Her life was much different outside of Salacious than I imagined but I loved that. It made her much more human and relatable. I also loved Clay and Jade. Of course Jack made the book for me! I really hope down the line we will get a Jack story :)

This book had it’s heartbreaking moments, but it was also healing. A great mix of steamy and emotional, with a bit of angst. A great end to the series!

Update: We’ll it’s confirmed as a FFM 🙄. Can an author pls just commit to an FF book? How is it so hard? Must men’s dicks be everywhere? 😭
———-
I wonder who this could possibly be about? Lol

I thought this would be a FF novel bc… OBVIOUSLY. But apparently it’s looking like it’ll be a MFF or even a MF and I’m so fucking disappointed. This might be the last straw on Sara Cate for me. Why can authors write queer men and their love stories without a woman present but never a queer woman loving woman story without a man present? 😞
We shall see. Let’s hope.

Sara Cate has come to be a favorite author of mine in the last few years. Because of the way she takes k!nk, relationships, and feels to a whole other level. The Salacious players club has been full of so many new experiences and made unique situations accessible and enjoyable for so many readers. I may have always loved these type of relationships but I like seeing so many new readers find them and learn to love them too.

Jade, Clay, and Eden have such a beautiful journey to explore. There are surprises both in and out of the bedroom that I think everyone will enjoy.

I'm sad that this series is over, but I can't wait to see what Mrs. Cate brings us next.

I really cannot believe this series is over. I wanted it to go on forever. And talk about going out with a bang! This story shoved me out of my comfort zone and left me begging for more.

What to expect:
- Found family
- Trauma & healing
- Dommes, wax, & other kinky goodness
- Forbidden
- Movies & carnivals
- Second chance
- Age gap & boss’s daughter

We've seen Eden throughout this Salacious Players' Club series and known her to be the independent, confident, sexpot of the Salacious crew. She's one of these characters who's larger than life, so she would definitely need partners who could keep up with her. We met Clay in Highest Bidder and I liked their dynamic, but I was a little skeptical about him being able to handle her. But of course, they were perfect! I truly cannot imagine her with anyone else. Despite Eden and Clay already having a connection, Eden's connection with Jade was just as explosive, if not more.

Undoubtedly, Madame was one of the best books I’ve read this year. I loved everything about this story from the kink aspect to the challenges of a poly relationship. Every topic in this story was handled with with the utmost respect and authenticity they deserved. AND THE SPICE WAS OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS!

Madame was one of my most anticipated book of 2023. It was a joy to read it early, but also so bittersweet. Salacious Players Club has become one of my favorite series, giving some of my favorite books and I will truly miss these characters. I will read anything this author gives us and she's quickly become a top favorite of mine.

“Eden is more than a sexy body and beautiful face. She’s a force. She’s like the sun, and we are all orbiting around her, basking in her glow. We are just grateful to be in her presence.”

I was given an eARC of this book which I read in exchange for an honest review.

I have been waiting for this release for quite some time, the entire salacious players club has been an amazing journey. I thoroughly enjoyed the last release, which was highest bidder, so I did have rather high expectations for this book.

Usually when high expectations are not met, I figure it’s a problem with me, the reader, however, I don’t know how Sarah Cate fucked this up.

After reading this release along with the previous release, which was antihero, she’s no longer an instant buy author for me. In fact, the quality has been so low, it makes me wonder if she’s using a ghost writer or AI for her books.

This should’ve been a simple story to execute. Eden is a character which has been developed since the very first book in the series, just like we experienced with Ronan in highest bidder. But oh no, this plot rivaled Ana Huang’s twisted series with unnecessary drama, blurred lines of consent, an over complicated plot, and lacking true chemistry. Somehow, all of the respect, consent, healthy sexual dynamics, sparkling chemistry, taboo topics, relationships that center on real person type characters, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g that makes salacious players club a fantastic read was thrown out the window when this book was written.

At the beginning of this book, it seemed to have promise. It started by giving us more background on Eden St Clair, which we didn’t have previously, mostly regarding her home life and relationship history. Full disclosure, I didn’t really feel drawn to her character until highest bidder when we were able to explore the friendship between her and Ronan.

This is one of the main catalysts to me being curious as to who wrote this book:

-her past history in highest bidder. We saw her interact with a couple (Ronan and Daisy) performing essentially what Jade originally ask for as a service. What proceeds is a plot that is absolutely bonkers when taking in the scope of the SPC story arcs. In HB she was professional, set personal boundaries and stuck to them. She was honest and forthcoming.

-her relationship with Ronan. We know based off HB and other past experiences with Eden that she is mature, thoughtful, in control, and takes pride not only in kink but in performing safe, sane, and consensual experiences. This DOES NOT HAPPEN in this book.

- When Jade first shows up at her work, they have an interaction that Eden feels is cold. It’s not. It was truthful and a wakeup call for a näive, inexperienced, girl who will do ANYTHING to please her taboo age gap boyfriend.

-Very early on we are witness to Jade having a breakdown over if she’s enough for Clay after he is forthcoming with his history of Domme/Sub scenes. We then as readers are supposed to believe she just does a little internal work and says ‘well, I think it’s hot seeing you with someone else, so over night I’m a polyam, domme, who is also bisexual. We have history in Give Me More where we witness a character grappling with their sexuality in that they are bisexual and not heterosexual. The topic was handled with care, finesse, and humanized the character. Jade comes off as a one more character that becomes whatever she thinks other people need.

- After filling out their kink forms, it’s really about what Jade wants. We don’t explore what Clay put down as hard and soft limits at all. Also, there’s no discussion of Eden looking over their forms to decide if not only she’s a good fit for them, but also, with their complex history- if she’s comfortable with what Jade wants to do.

-Numerous times while in a scene there’s a distinct feeling that Eden and Clay are not comfortable. It’s at the very least a yellow situation if not red, but they push through to do what Jade wants. The youngest, least experienced person in this room.

-The amount of lies in this book that seems to be resolved in a single chapter is wild to me. Especially the fact Clay and Eden were in love with each other and kept that from Jade. Again, Jade comes off as a pushover who will accept anything to have this experience. Especially since her reaction is essentially ‘yeah I suspected that, cool.’ It was so much build up for nothing in the story.

-The fetishizing of sapphic love. Not once in the previous stories did I feel that sapphic experiences were invalidated by the author. This one however did. When Eden and Clay fooled around, they stopped immediately, felt guilty, and then confessed to Jade what happened. When Eden goes WAY farther with Jade, they take a spicy video and send it to Clay not viewing it as cheating even though the previous scene did. In Praise when Eden was wjth Charlotte, it was treated with care and respect. This felt sloppy. Especially considering Eden’s experience in the field.

-Let’s just talk about Jade for a minute and the ridiculous timeline of this book. You’re telling me that Clay and Eden were fully in love with each other essentially 6 months ago after being in a relationship for 9 months, and now Clay has been dating (in secret) a 23 year old who still lives with her dad, and he’s so in love that when Eden reappears, he holds both women in the same esteem. I call bullshit. If this had been any other situation in SPC, he would have called it off with Jade to explore a relationship with Eden.

-While we are talking about Jade and Eden… Eden being a switch makes sense. Rarely is someone 100% any role in BDSM. The idea that as an established dominatrix she immediately wanted to sub for an inexperienced 23 year old when we don’t really see a history of this feels underdeveloped.

-Complete disrespect for Eden’s role as a mother. Both Clay and Jade immediately expect full access to Eden’s son. This gave me the creeps. We’ve had children introduced before, but the way this is handled feels like Clay and Jade were looking for an instant family.

-Flashbacks to Eden with Clay butted up to scenes of Clay with Jade gives that sinking stomach feeling that he’s cheating. He’s not, he’s with his current girlfriend. But the structure and pacing doesn’t make the reader feel anything for Jade and sets her up as a floozy that likes to give her age gap boyfriend head down the hall from her “daddy”. Jade is so immature, her development gave me whiplash.

-The drama that goes on in this book feels almost teetering on a dark romance/angst genre, not generic romance genre like the rest of this series.

All in all, I don’t know if Sara Cate had a new editor, a ghost writer, or just typed characters into Chat GPT, but this felt supremely subpar compared to previous works. Whatever it is, I hope she finds her magic again. It’s frustrating that we’ve seen the triad relationship before in Give Me More, we’ve seen secret dating in Eyes on me, we’ve seen sexual awakening of an age gap character in Praise, and we know the characters, and this misses the mark so greatly. I’m still collecting the new discreet covers, but I’m just going to pretend this book doesn’t exist.

I’m giving this 1.5 ⭐️ rounded up to two. This may be my biggest dud of a read this year, and my count for the year so far is 180+.

First of all, I am so disappointed in this book. I truly expected so much more for Eden’s story and I felt like it fell flat so early on. There was so much interest in her character all throughout the series and this book totally ruined all of that for me. I ended up DNF’ing this book at over halfway.

-First of all, this entire FFM dynamic should have been so easy to establish. Based on Give Me More, I expected the author to handle this throuple correctly and I was wrong.

-Eden did not even feel like the main character IN HER OWN BOOK. The most interesting character in all of the series, and she was playing second fiddle to Jade and Clay the entire time.

-Why did it feel like this should have just been Jade’s book for how everyone was coddling her. She called all the shots and what she wanted was always top priority over Eden and even Clay at times. Just because she couldn’t handle the fact that her bf had a Domme and was in a past relationship she wasn’t involved in… like girl. She was so ridiculously immature the entire time. We just jumped straight from her feeling sick over another woman touching Clay to omg I’d love to see you screw your ex in front of me. Pick a lane Jade, you’re giving me whiplash.

-This entire book felt so wrong. Like reading all of the intimate scenes between Clay and Eden was so good. Then bam, we are back in his POV hearing about his gf giving him head while he thinks of another woman. I just couldn’t get over how it felt like Eden was the other woman in Clay and Jade’s relationship. Clay always associates Eden with bad emotions and feeling wrong when he clearly is in love with her.

-what the hell was this:
“One time, Eden. Give Jade this one time, and I’ll be gone. Whether you tell me to or not, I won’t come back. I won’t bother you, and I won’t ask you for ridiculous favors anymore.” “Do you really think you can do that after we share another time together?” “I’ve done it before,” I reply. I hope she sees the hurt on my face. If I could make myself bleed for her, I would. Not that it would make a difference. She’d still walk away. “Besides,” I add. “I’ll have Jade, so hopefully, I won’t miss you as much.” -Clay’s POV, chapter 19

-Clay essentially emotionally cheated with Eden for the entirety of the book and you can tell he was far more romantically involved with her than Jade. Jade was just a bonus to him getting Eden. So stupid.

There’s so much more I hated about this book, but I’ll let it slide. Overall, I wish the book had just been MF between Eden and Clay. He should have dumped Jade in the beginning when he found out that he might still have a chance with Eden. Had he dumped her after seeing Eden and Jack in the arcade, this book would have been way better. It was giving “I’ll have my cake and eat it too” rather than a loving and mature throuple relationship. This was a very disappointing end to a very good series.

2.5 🌟 probably 3 on a good day

Well damn. I can’t believe SPC has come to an end.
I gotta say, the last two didn’t hit like the first 4 but I did love seeing everyone come together in the end. Now my thoughts about the book

Things I love: Eden. I’ve loved her since the very beginning and this book didn’t change that. She is so strong and I loved seeing her grow and getting to know more about her background. Also loved Mr. Clay Bradley who is a real stand up dude who did a lot of growing himself.

Things that I could’ve done without: Jade. Sorry but this book would’ve been four stars if Jade simply didn’t exist. Clay and Eden had so much chemistry and love for each other and it feels like Jade really took away from that. Her connection with Eden felt so performative to the point that I was skipping 🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes with them in it?? She felt so childish and immature and the plot with her dad was so pointless! Also her and Clay kind of just felt like friends who were fornicating, I didn’t get anything romantic from them AT ALL.

All in all these three really did not work together and I ended up not giving two shits about their relationship. I really think if this was just about Clay and Eden it would’ve been so meaningful and explosive.

I'm saddened to say that I did not enjoy this book as much as the rest of the series. I could not connect with any of the characters. I didn't care for them in the way I did for other MCs in the other books.

The connection between both FMCs felt forced, and Jade's bi-awakening was not explored enough to seem realistic. Eden was not the strong FMC I wanted her to be. She seemed like she was going to be self-assured, but it was the complete opposite.

The spice was well done and in almost every second chapter, which I believe was holding back the plot. The plot was almost non-existent, aside from a secret relationship, a weirdly insta-lovey W/W bond, and a barely explored second-chance dynamic.

Overall, the spice was the only interesting part. It had everything you could think of and was the most interesting part to me. I would only recommend this if you want a palate cleanser with a lot of spice!

what a way to end the SPC.

like all the series, you will get jaw-dropping spice and lots of angst. but i really loved eden, clay, and jade's story.

what do you when you run into a woman with your boyfriend and you can tell there's something there and then he tells you she used to be his domme? ...naturally, you track her down and ask her for tips. and then form an mff throuple, duh.

this was a wild ride of a story but i loved it. i did not expect eden's story to be so emotional but hearing her background was so tough and gave me a newfound appreciation for spc's resident madame. i loved the connections she had with both clay and jade. this is ANGSTY. so many moments between clay and jade, eden and jade, and clay and eden tore my heart out but their chemistry and connection was truly everything. they all had so much development throughout the story, i loved it.

my only gripe is i wish we got to see more of clay and jade's connection. clay would say he loved her and she was perfect but not much beyond that and my feelings got hurt when he was like YOU'RE PERFECT...but eden tho. but what a story to end it all.

What a terrible book. I wish she would've ended the series with book 5 because now I'm not sure I'll even recommend the series.

Jade's character wasn't only unlikable, but she also felt out of place. I think Eden, Clay, and Jack deserved a better story. One without an annoying, naive, stuck-up baby named Jade.

It also felt like the story dragged on, but I wasn't interested in any of it. Jade felt like such a cry baby who just wanted her way the entire time.

Honestly, I feel so gross after reading this book, and I think that speaks volumes considering I read the other 5.

Please don't waste your time with this.

And ALSO, how many times did I read "her bottom lip was tucked between her teeth" or "I grabbed her hair with my fist" please I'm disgusted

And the pièce de résistance of Salacious Player's Club goes to Eden St. Claire!!

You think you know Madame Kink, but you haven't begun to see the woman behind the alter ego she presents to the world. Madame shattered my heart piece by piece only to build it back up slowly and sensually over the course of these pages.

A broken past doesn't mean you are broken, and Madame Kink proved that. Seven years earlier she nearly had everything taken from her and she vowed to never put herself in that position again. The position of being vulnerable but especially being vulnerable because of man.

One man changed all that because it wasn't just Madame Kink falling for Clay Bradley it was Eden St. Claire.

After ripping off that Band-Aid that she would never be able to be what Clay needs Eden has moved on as best as she can until Clay shows back up in her life and he isn't alone. He has Jade in tow and now Eden is in even more trouble because with all those old feelings for Clay comes new feelings for Jade.

Leave it to Sara Cate to pack all the punches in the last book of a series!! I had the bar set exceptionally high for Madame and Sara surpassed that in moments. Madame Kink is the type of woman you fall in love with entirely and I was at her mercy from the very start.

While I loved Jade and Clay just as much this was very much a love letter to Eden St. Claire. If you have been along for the ride since the beginning, you know how many of us OG's love our Madame and now that we finally have her story it is time to close the door on Salacious Players' Club.

10/10/23- I think this book might be my most favorite and simultaneously least favorite book of the year! I know, I know, that isn't going to make any sense, so you just need to read it!

Without giving too much away, I loved the book as a book! I liked the premise and the story. I love going back to the SPC world and into the club and seeing all of these characters that we have grown to love. I am totally invested, and it is completely worth it, if you haven't yet, to read books 1-5! As for the Eden character I had in my mind up until this point, the Eden written in this book did not at all track with the Eden of the past books, she felt almost polar opposite at times!

The Eden in Madame is not the same Eden in the Salacious Players Club books 1-5 that I had in my mind. And for that, I was disappointed, I wanted more of the Madame Kink we had seen in SPC 1-5, and less of Eden and her heavy life. I guess I just wanted more smut and less baggage... Because I'm a smut junkie. And a baby hater.

But, if you have been reading the SPC up to this point, you have to keep going! Even if Eden is not what you expect! You'll still have that warm fuzzy feeling. err... black hearted, taco throbbing feelings ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ worth it!

9/2/2022- THE DEBUT OF THIS BOOK CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH! *SQUEAL*

The scheduled release date as of today is 10/12/23.... 405 days. The countdown begins!

My brain is honestly still processing that ending 🥲 and the fact that one of my fave series is over 😭💗
Who knew a book series that I started on March 2022 and it is now at the end of their journey?
We’ve gone through Emerson’s, Garrett’s, Hunter’s, Maggie’s and Ronan’s journeys. And now we’re finally at Eden’s.

Eden has been there since day one at the beginning and we know, that she’s been around for a while.

Her book was honestly worth the wait and we finally get to know her more than what’s behind her other persona.

Eden, Jade & Clay have put me through a rollercoaster and I’m so glad that it ended with their story 😭💗

Thank you Sara for creating such an amazing world. And I love SPC + all the main characters so much 🫶🏼

Salacious Player’s Club has become one of my favorite series and one that I recommend to everyone I know, so I knew reading the last book of the series was going to be bittersweet. I’m so disappointed this series is over, but I’m even more disappointed with my feelings on Madame.

It was OK, but not my favorite in the series and one that I will not hype as much as others (Highest Bidder, looking at you).

Honestly, my biggest complaint about this book was the FF scenes and the relationship between the two women. I really did not connect with Jade and Eden together at all. Their scenes together felt so forced and fake in the way Girl on Girl pornography is fake. There is a scene where Jade goes down on Eden for the first time, not only do we get zero hesitation from Jade, but we also never get to hear her thoughts on being with Eden sexually. As a bisexual woman married to a woman, I don’t buy that there wasn’t some trepidation on Jade’s part in exploring her sexuality with Eden and it would have been nice to get that type of viewpoint. Especially when women coming out later in life has become more and more common (I understand that Jade is 23), but Sara could have really taken this story and made it more relatable to women in the LGBTQ community, but instead it missed the mark in so many ways.

That’s all I’m posting in this review. I may update it later after I’ve had some time to reflect, but here’s my hot take:

If you identify as a woman and have been with other women, this may not be a book for you. If you identify as a woman and have only been with men – you will probably love this because you don’t really know what it’s like. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

This book & series ended with a bang 😭🫶 I can’t believe we are officially done with SPC ugh my heart. I was so excited for EDENS STORY & Sara came through. She really REAALLYY did.

This was such an emotional journey & a beautiful ending to a series that will forever remain a part of me. Eden had so much depth to her & I was shocked at how much was hidden from the world. Even though I can’t relate to her in all aspects, I was able to FEEL so much of what she had gone through & everything she had to experience during this book. I loved Clay & Jade. There were so many forbidden aspects that I love in a book present, and overall they were such a great trio. I knew Clay would steal my heart (especially after certain moments with a special lil someone) but I wasn’t ready for Jade to bust up in there & being all her amazingness along!! SO. DAMN. HOT.

We get so much empowerment & growth throughout the series, & just getting to see all my favorite characters again made me so dang happy!!! I sense a reread of the series coming soooooon

Madame’s book might have been last in the Salacious Players’ Club series, but it was definitely worth the wait to find out about Madame Kink and her life outside the club as Eden. I just loved the entire journey of the SPC series!

Eden is a character who has been featured throughout the entirety of the series, so her book will definitely mean more if you’ve kept up with the series. We start off with a flashback to when Eden first met Ronan Kade (hero of Highest Bidder) and how their friendship began. And then we jump into current day, where Eden has been struggling with keeping her private, home life separate from her life at the club, especially now that the owners of the club want her to take a more official role in SPC. Around the same time Eden runs into Clay, a former client of hers who became so much more than a client before she pushed him away. She meets his girlfriend Jade too who instantly clues into the fact that there was something more between Clay and Eden, and Jade becomes more than curious herself with the enigmatic Eden.

Clay and Jade have been together for six months, she’s his boss’s daughter and they’ve been sneaking around at the office. After meeting Eden, Jade becomes curious about her past with Clay and when he tells Jade that Eden was once his domme, Jade wants to know more. She ends up tracking Eden down at SPC where she asks Eden to teach her how to be more dominant. Knowing she’s Clay’s girlfriend, Eden first says no, but then calls Jade to apologize and ends up finding out that Jade is tired of being a people-pleaser and wants to learn how to be more assertive and dominant in life, so she agrees to help her. Jade and Eden start spending time together and growing closer, and then things get even more complicated when Jade says she wants to watch Eden and Clay together…

I loved Eden and seeing more of her character, I liked seeing her life outside of the club and the strength and independence she has fought for. She is one of those characters who doesn’t let people into her life and really doesn’t let others help her, so it was nice to see her have people she could finally open up to and lean on. I loved the cameos of all characters from the series, especially her close friendship with Ronan. There was something about Jade that just didn’t completely work for me, so while I wasn’t super sold on Eden, Clay, and Jade together, I still am glad they got their HEA and the epilogues were nice to see. This series will always remain a fav and I’ll definitely be lining up if any spin-offs ever happen down the road! 👀

I received an ARC from the author, all thoughts in this review are my own. Madame has a pub date of October 12, 2023.

CW (provided by the author): scenes of domestic violence and abuse on page, childhood trauma, neglect and emotional abuse from parents.

It’s so bittersweet seeing this series come to a close. I remember when I first read Praise and I immediately fell in love with this world and with Sara’s writing and it’s been a great ride.

I really loved the way this closed out the series and integrated all the characters from previous books and the ending really had me emotional about leaving it all behind.

Eden St Claire has been a staple in previous books, playing a sort of guide to some of the characters that were less comfy or experienced in the scene, and I’ve been so excited for her story.
I really loved getting to see that she has more to her than just being the salacious players club’s resident Domme. Her relationship with her son is so cute and her back story really gives a whole new understanding to her character.
I also really liked her and Clay together. The flashbacks to their relationship were some of my absolute favorite parts of this book.
Clay is also a character that I really related to, and I enjoyed their original Domme/sub dynamic.

There are a few things that I struggled with when it comes to the development of the relationship between all three characters in this book. It’s very possible it has a lot to do with the fact that I don’t often read books with poly or ffm dynamics like this, so I won’t make a judgement on if it’s a good representation or not, just sharing what I did and didn’t like.

I think that the book might not have had the time to really fully develop all three of the characters and all of their relationships with each other. While there were things I really liked about Jade, I struggled a little bit to get a read on her as a character, her motivations and to really feel convinced of her connection with both Eden and Clay. I think part of that is because by the time we meet Jade she already has an established relationship with Clay. And the way that her feelings for Eden developed into a full blown relationship so quickly when she didn’t appear to even question if she’s attracted to women before this felt a little convenient.

I also didn’t like the way the characters entered into the poly dynamic while all lying to each other. The first half of the book felt a little icky to me for that reason. It seemed that all worked out in the end simply because Jade didn’t care, which seemed (again) convenient, but unrealistic.

Now that all being said, once the dynamic was established, I really enjoyed it. My other favorite parts of this book were the three of them together, loving each other equally, and I desperately wanted more of that!

I ultimately had a good time returning to the Salacious Players club and getting to see our Madame get her happily ever after. If you’re a fan of this series I think you’ll enjoy this one, and if you haven’t given the series a chance yet definitely go pick up Praise and have fun!
