Hm, I would have put down TMR, but I'm hesitant to; I don't know if the Kill Order qualifies as a book or not - I've seen it categorized as so in many different websites. The novella basically is a book anyway, with its own plot and new characters and around 200 page if I can recall correctly. Any thoughts?

The novella basically is a..."Hmmm, I would consider The Kill Order to be in the "prequel set" along with The Fever Code because the main story line of The Maze Runner series is The Maze Runner Trilogy (make sense? xP) which are the three main and first books; TMR, TST, and TDC. The Kill Order and The Fever Code are the 0.5 and 0.6 in the series respectively, which don't count as the series MAIN storyline, which only consists of 3 books.

. This is precisely why it was advised to only add books when they are completed. From the news it seems like there's now quite a few additional books. If they turn out just to be complimentary and not part of the main series (that happen to end as a trilogy), THEN you can add it back, but until then, it doesn't qualify to be on this list.---Jul 17, 2016 11:50AM---

While it certainly seemed that there's 3 books featuring same characters, the fact that the description provided on Goodreads was worded as below, indicates it is not actually a trilogy (also looked up the books, and they weren't officially referred to as a trilogy either)
Although following different characters, there is some overlap of supporting characters.

@Sammm* Librarians are able to check for duplicates quite easily.
* 'Rare' covers strongly depends on which edition is sold is which country (and not all of us are living in the US), not to mention the date of publication.
* Adding just the first book of a trilogy when one has the full trilogy in one cover on one's shelves is possible, of course, but not as easily done as just picking the full edition on one's own shelves.

Idk if this happens to everyone, but I do know that the few times I used the "check for duplicates" function, all it does was automatically removed the supposed duplicate without even letting the user know just what exactly was deleted; how that is consider a good thing is beyond my comprehension. I'd rather people pay attention to what they are voting instead of relying on a system that doesn't clearly indicate what was removed.
@SammmWhen a librarian checks for duplicates, the votes for the duplicate edition are combined with the votes for the original book, as far as I know, so the votes are not lost (which is why it is not necessary to let the voter know a particular edition was removed for being a duplicate). It might take a while for the votes to be combined though (assuming the editions are combined properly, of course), so it might not always be visible straight away. With large, not to say huge, Listopia's the duplicates check comes in very handy, as it is nearly impossible for voters to check whether or not their books are already on such lists.
I haven't added Wolf Hall yet, as I, and many others with me, am still awaiting the publication of The Mirror and the Light, the final part of the Thomas Cromwell Trilogy.

Thank you SO MUCH for letting me know about this! I really did have panic attacks the few times I used the function and just decided I did not care for the anxiety it brought me lol. The only problem would be that since I wouldn't know what items were merged, I wouldn't know how many votes were supposedly merged, and therefore wouldn't be able to verify if it adds up correctly anyways; but knowing that the function was at least designed that way does help a lot. Thanks again!

With the recent rising trend with authors publishing duologies instead of trilogies (or longer series)... Anyone up for creating a similar list for duologies? :)

Ahaha! Thanks for bringing this up! I had thought about this, and was debating whether it should be creating one for either duology or tetralogy (and eventually pentalogy) once this list reach one-year-old (which is soon, dang, time flies!) I was leaning towards tetralogy because I feel like, with one less book, people may be more tempted to add the second book onto the hypothetical list (for duology), which is something I personally don't want lol, for like my reasoning here, it'd just add unnecessary complication and distract people from ranking according to series as whole. Thanks for bringing this up!!! =D When I started this list, I knew there were existing lists about trilogies lying around (heck, I've left a couple of comments to some of them, hoping to get people to vote here; not gonna deny it) I did it because most of them consist of having all 3 books in trilogies being voted, and I feel that, in a way, that's just how some people would prefer (I just wasn't one of those people), so it seemed like a good idea to simply create a stricter list.
Now for duology... gah... idk. Personally, I think the 3rd one you shared ( www.goodreads.com/list/show/97046 ) looks like it could be shaped into a sister list to this one quite easily... (out of the 3, that is. Though I think I am seeing some books that has a "companion" relationship with another book, but not necessarily being sequentially duologies) Problem is I'm unable to see the creator's profile and unable to PM the person for her consent, and I'm not obnoxious enough to just go and change the title while adding a bunch of descriptions to the list (that would just be rude... oh gawd.) But I do think that, unlike the situation I had with trilogies, reforming an existing list seems more ideal, but that could just be me.
So um, I guess what I'm trying to say is, should anyone be able to contact the creator and is on-board enough to go ask her about it, and actually getting her to agree; I'm all up for it! If not, I would also support whoever that's willing to create a new one to set the same rules (not to be egotistic, but I AM flattered and honored that the question was brought up here). As in, byeol, if you do create one, feel free to let me know and I'll add the link to this list's description and even vote for the ones I read (not much, at this point).

I am a librarian myself... I was referring to the act of editing a list (tags, instructions etc.) besides adding new items, those changes minor or not need to be discussed with the list's creator. I was adding my input that, yes, there are lists for duologies, but much like what I encountered with trilogies, not many of them have clarified what's to be voted. If byeol is looking for a list like this one, but for duology, there's the option of either a new one made from scratch to save the trouble of negotiation, or some sort of communication still needs to happen.
Because from what I see, those 3 lists aren't exactly like this one. (Yes, they are similar, but not the same.) The goal is to NOT change a list before getting the consent of the creator (and it's not like it's some major changes), and should the creator relent, then there should be no problem, and if not, I'm not gonna die or still force it upon the list either lol. I just thought there was no harm in asking, a potential killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Same goes to tetralogies. I kind of feel like at this point I should probably clarify that I do use the search function before forming those thoughts lol. My problem with it is the leeway of allowing omnibus volume. It's like you said, "If a list is not exactly to your liking, create a new one [...]" I contemplated on creating new ones because I didn't find lists close to what I personally prefer.

Life As We Knew It, representing The Last Survivors SERIES, DOES NOT REPRESENT A TRILOGY. There are actually FOUR books in this series, as much as I and everyone else who was a fan of the first three books wish that the fourth book was never published. It needs to be removed from this list; it doesn't belong.

Because I don't know what exactly it is that's the factor of Goodreads' listopia displaying order, I'm gonna go with "the more books and the more people voting will get the list in a higher position". Assuming what I just wrote is correct, (I could be completely wrong), I'ma shamelessly add a bunch of books that fits the criteria and goal of this list, despite I personally am not interested in them. This is just to let this reach out to a wilder range of people through more books, if someone votes on my "extra" nominees, I'd then remove my vote since I didn't intend to vote for them.
Whatever that's after my first 6 votes; starting from #7 are listed according to the number of ratings they received. I've not read any of them and don't plan on doing so for most of them. Like I said, it is just in the hopes of getting this list to spread to more people; those are trilogies that I've seen enough times to remember their existences.
