N.R. Walker
“His hand lay across my stomach as he slept soundly. I entwined my fingers with his and breathed through the warmth that seeped through my chest. Such a simple, sweet thing to do, yet holding hands in bed was incredibly intimate.”
N.R. Walker, Spencer Cohen, Book Three

Jeff Erno
“Does it bother you when you see Daddy kissing Josh?” he asked.
Ty shook his head and made a funny face. “No, not really. I guess you really like him a lot.”
“I do,” Rex agreed. “I love Josh.”
“I love Josh too, and so I don’t care if you kiss him. But I thought boys only kissed girls.”
Rex nodded. “Yeah, well, that’s how it is most of the time, but you know some boys kiss other boys and some girls kiss other girls.”
“Well, I don’t wanna kiss no girls!” Ty said emphatically.
Rex and Josh both laughed. “Maybe someday you will, though. If you do, that’s fine, and if you don’t, that’s fine too. For right now, you can just kiss Daddy.” He leaned in and kissed Ty on the forehead.”
Jeff Erno, We Danced

Eli Easton
“Michael scrambled around again and kissed James’s lips and cheeks in brief, silly pecks.
“Breakfast?”
“You offering or ordering?” James grumbled.
“I’m offering to cook if you’re offering up the groceries. Do you have eggs?”
“No, I have sperm. What the hell do they teach you in school these days?”
Michael giggled. “Chicken eggs, wise ass. In your refrigerator.”
Eli Easton, The Mating of Michael

Anne Tenino
“I thought you wanted to leave me." Jurgen sounded dazed.
Nik patted his chest. "My poor, big, dumb asshole." He sighed, kissing Jurgen's neck. "Why didn't you just ask me?"
Nik could feel the dumbfounded rising up from Jurgen's skin. "I don't know," he said slowly. "I didn't need to ask you if I knew how to fix it."
"Oh, Jurgen." Nik patted him some more, petting his sternum. "We could probably spend a few years and thousands of dollars in psychologist's fees figuring you out, couldn't we?”
Anne Tenino, The Fix

Josh Lanyon
“We ate in the dining room alcove looking over the hillside and the silent dark rooftops of my neighbors. The lights of the valley glittered below.

We were both tired but we smiled at each other, and I felt a kind of happiness growing inside me. It was good to look across the table and see someone, and I thought maybe it was time to start thinking about that again—about finding someone. Sharing my life maybe.

Or maybe just getting more friends around. Except when I pictured the friends I wanted around, they all looked like Dan, and when I thought about trying to find someone to share my life with, he too looked a little too much like Dan for comfort.”
Josh Lanyon, The White Knight

Brea Alepoú
“What are you going to do about him?”. Gin didn’t have to specify for me to know he was talking about Tex. My heart fluttered, and I absentmindedly rubbed at my chest. “I’m going to drag him home.”
Giancarlo’s mouth tilted down in a frown. “He’s a cop.”
“He’s the man I love.”
Brea Alepoú, Take Me Apart

Tracey Jerald
“I wasn't expecting the way his blue eyes scorched through me. I wasn't expecting him.”
Tracey Jerald, Return by Fire

Thea Verdone
“You expect me to tell the truth, but you’re lying to yourself,” Alek said. “You think you want me, but you don’t. You think I’m worth loving, but I’m not. You say you’ll never leave, but you will.”
Thea Verdone, Never Leave, Never Lie

Alex Winters
“Reed spread his arms again, as if to signify his near nakedness. “Do you see any paparazzi here, Tuck? I’m not wearing a wire, and where the hell would I hide a camera in this getup? It’s you, it’s me, it’s a pair of wet boxers. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Tucker sighed. The minute Reed suggested it, he knew he was going to strip down to his skivvies and slip quietly into the clear, tempting pool.”

“Parker stood near the pool, watching Logan drift onto the patio in all his young, radiant glory. Despite it being the last night of December, the southern air was muggy, complementing Logan’s pale, delicate features as he stood in a pair of khaki shorts and the same brown and blue striped rugby shirt he’d worn back at Soxers. The lights Parker had been stringing for the last two hours shone in his wide eyes, casting his guest in a most flattering glow.”

“Those legs of yours,” Colton murmured, close enough to drag a finger across both thighs in turn. Memphis shivered at the unexpected tenderness of his lover’s touch, every inch of his body flexing in the wake of those delicate fingertips. “They won’t stop fidgeting. And these hands…” He likewise drizzled his fingertips along the tops of Memphis’ digits. “They’re white-knuckled, Big Boy.”

“Stop,” Knox chuckled as he took Trevor’s place beneath the gently lapping shower spray. Trevor toweled himself off idly, absently, literally mesmerized at seeing Knox’s body again after so many years. He had filled out, gently, tenderly, in all the right places. Still tall and lean, he was more muscular than Trevor remembered, more masculine, if that was possible. He lifted his arms, gently powerful as if he’d been working out, and Trevor thrilled to see the gently robust tufts of soft brown hair under his arms, doused quickly with the shower spray and even sexier when wet.”

“I just want him, period. As if I haven’t made that abundantly clear to him by now. I suppose I have. Either way, he leans into my hands, my caress, squirming beneath my touch as I inch closer, so close my zipper touches the back of his towel, my lips nuzzling first one ear, then the other, first one shoulder, then the next. He gasps and murmurs his approval, aching to turn and return the kiss but I still him with a slight squeeze and a playful, teasing growl.
“No, Ford. I’m not done bathing you yet…”
Alex Winters, Storm Warning

Alessandra Hazard
“Maybe it was because he'd already hit rock bottom and nothing could possibly be more challenging than giving handies to the devil.”
Alessandra Hazard, Just a Bit Bossy

Vanora Lawless
“Climbing out of the sidecar, Warren grumbled under his breath, and Elliot tried not to crack a smile. Warren still hated riding in one, but he didn’t particularly enjoy driving a motorcycle either. Elliot gave his shoulder a reassuring pat, and in the moonlight caught the roll of Warren’s eyes. He couldn’t keep a smile down.
“You’re lucky I like you,” Warren said, clearly trying for grumpy, but sounding much too fond.
Nodding, Elliot agreed. “I have been blessed.”
“Damn right.”
Vanora Lawless, Twisted Tome

Opal Moritz
“Aaahhhh!”

The yell came from the guy in the door frame. He was blond, wearing a gigantic, white, puffy coat and holding various bulging bags. Despite his shock, Doug still registered that he was like a twink remix of the Michelin Man.

Doug pointed at him. “Who are you?”

“Isn’t this Pine Mountain Cottage?”

The guy’s voice sounded spooked, but Doug was too taken aback to tone down his own voice. “Yes? Who are you?”

Beneath his floppy hair, the guy’s eyes widened. “I’m Easton?”

What kind of name was Easton? Trying to keep his voice even, Doug demanded, “How the hell did you get here?”

Looking shell-shocked, the guy pointed his thumb over his shoulder. “An Uber from the train station?”

Thea Verdone
“Alek stalked towards him, his black hair ruffled, sage-green eyes promising revenge. He was tall like Ian, but the similarities stopped there. Alek’s skin was a warm olive, except so pale it was almost sickly-looking—probably because he hardly ever saw the sun—and his body was chiseled in hard angles, sinewy like a big cat that hadn’t had a good meal in a while, and with all the same threat of danger.”
Thea Verdone, Never Leave, Never Lie

Thea Verdone
“Alek tangled their tongues in a kiss that tasted like salt and the end of everything and it wasn’t enough. Ian could drown him in an ocean of tears and slit their palms in a blood bond, and none of it would ever be enough.”
Thea Verdone, Never Leave, Never Lie

Thea Verdone
“Ian discussed each house he had worked on like it was a person with its own secret history, like the simple act of rehabilitating an abandoned house was akin to traveling back in time.”

Tal Bauer
“Where did you come from?” His words were whisper soft. “How did you find me?”

Eden West
“I want you to focus solely on me. I want to be the center of your universe, Hunter. Will you give me that?”
Eden West

Eden West
“I want to be accepted and appreciated as I am now. Skinny. I like myself this way. That's all I want, Hunter, and I feel you can give that to me. That, and even more. For years, it was my insecurity, that I secretly craved to turn into my pride. But it seemed too much to ask. And then…miracle. You entered my life.”
Eden West, Stalker

“All the while, here we sit, lost souls—struggling to reach the light, to breathe fresh air again.”
Genevieve L. Hughes, Their Angel

Raquel Riley
“A feeling of ease settles over me. No matter where in the world we’re stationed, if Brandt is there, I’m good. I’m home.”

Joy Danvers
“It’s mayhem, it’s chaos, and then the hose is unleashed.

An icy torrent of water knocks me to the ground and separates me from Seth. Water fills my nose, and I choke on it, coughing hard and desperately trying to shield my eyes from the worst of it so I can see. The spray moves away from me long enough that I can stand on shaky legs. It’s a fight to regain my bearings, my vision still blurred, and stray limbs and bodies tangle across the ground, tripping me with every step. The gate is at my back, and everywhere I look is a mess of water, people, and mud. It’s so loud; even when I blink away the last of the water, I still feel too disoriented, like I’m disconnected from my body. I slip. My shoulder slams into concrete, and I breathe through the pain as I force myself to my feet again. Someone shouts my name, but then there’s a guard in front of me, his helmet visor pulled up so I can see the wicked gleam in his eyes when he pulls out a small black object from his belt. I spot the metal prongs and realize what’s about to happen. Terror lances up my spine, thick and suffocating in my throat. I can’t move.
Behind me, Ajei screams.

A large hand wrenches me back by the arm, and I lose my balance. Electricity crackles from the end of the taser, missing my drenched side by a centimeter as I crash to the ground hard. “We saw you!” Someone screams. “We have a video! Murderer! You tried to kill him!”

Without warning, hands are everywhere, grabbing me and pulling me back to safety. “No, wait!” I shout, struggling to free myself from their grasp. I can’t leave now, not like this. I need to be up at the front, strong in the face of danger, just like our ancestors. I need to make my family proud; need to protect them and the land we were blessed with the way I promised I would. There’s a cry of pain, and I catch a glimpse of Seth yanking my attacker’s arm behind his back until he’s forced to drop the taser, which Seth kicks away. His eyes are ablaze, and he’s utterly ruthless, but despite everything, I can only think of how beautiful he looks. Then, he swings out a leg and takes out another guard who is going after a fleeing Ajei, her phone in her hand from where she had been recording everything.

He spies me on the ground amidst the throngs of protestors, something like fear on his face, and roars, “Get him out of here!”

“After all, love is just an illusion made up by empty people who crave companionship.
In reality, it doesn’t exist.”

Jacklyn Fox
“Eddie nodded and couldn’t stop his eyes from straying down again to Alex’s nipples then quickly looked up again. Alex gave him a knowing smile and Eddie blushed.
“You’re adorable when you blush,” Alex said, looking at Eddie in a way that made him feel like Alex could read his mind.
“I hate it, I have absolutely no poker face.”
“I love it. Poker faces are overrated. So, you like nipple piercings then?” Alex asked knowingly.”

“Eddie the Hot Guy:
Hey babe, how’s your shift going?

Alex the Sexy Bouncer:
Hey sexy, it’s boring without you to brighten it.

Eddie smiled to himself. He would have preferred to go dance with Alex too but he didn’t want to be one of those people who ditches all their friends when someone hot comes along.

Eddie the Hot Guy:
Aww, maybe this will help
*image*

Eddie sent a photo from the neck down with the covers rolled down, showing just the very base of his cock and top of his pubes.

Alex the Sexy Bouncer:
Nope. Didn’t help. Now I’m semi hard and wishing I was in your bed. Knowing it’s only a block away is painful.

Eddie chuckled. He had a point.

Eddie the Hot Guy:
Woops, sorry. I’ll make it up to you, call me when you get home. I don’t care what time, my only plans are to sleep in tomorrow anyway xx

Alex the Sexy Bouncer:
Well, that only seems fair, you did create this problem in my pants after all lol

Eddie the Hot Guy:
Talk soon xx”

“Humans here are strange, and not nearly as afraid of me as they should be. They’re undisciplined and overly opinionated in the worst possible way, not to mention ugly and stupid.”
