This was a novella introducing us to the company that allows anyone to hire a fake boyfie or hubby. Colby hires Eli as his husband for a week-long holiday, after deciding he's ready to get back out there. His husband died 3 years ago and he wants to start dating again. Colby is caring and patient (total daddy vibes), but also possessive and kinky. Eli is 10 years younger than him and isn't used to being taken care of by his clients. He's also a bit of a brat... There's a bit of insta-love (more like super-fast-love), but I kinda didn't mind because this is a short read and I love to get my feelings fix fast. I love how their interactions, especially their intimacy, have that duality of emotions: they really like each other but their doubtful the other feels the same, after all, it's a transaction, right? ...more

Ro is so sweet and shy and he deserves all the 'good boy' he can get. And Finn is the steadiest most self-aware bear to ever love them both. And when they get together, their relationship's development was THE BEST. The orchids, the piercings, the found family, Mo, the rat. Anh's names for her dildos had me cackling. Also, Manny deserved to be bitchslapped. And the smut. The mother-effing SMUT! My dudes, Alex is feral and his bears can only oblige. The epilogue had me ...more

They work in adult films and have regular lives and there's not an ounce of judgment or drama because of it. It's especially refreshing to read how our caring Himbo, Cassius, comes from a wealthy loving family who support him and want him to be happy. They do not treat him as less because he's a bit lost and his only fear is disappointing them. Which is something he imposes on himself. He wants to belong and be seen by who he is, not the porn star, but the man. And he finds a place to belong to in Elite 8 Studios.
Now, the disaster of meet-cute between Cas and Jason had me feeling all the second hand embarassment and laughter. Jason is the shy barista we meet in Dix, and he is demisexual. I loved how being in the ace spectrum is portrayed, how he comes to know and fall for Cas, little by little and his attraction to him comes after seeing how kind and attentive and sweet Cas is to him and everyone. They are the cutest together, Cas being ultra respectful of Jason, accepting they may never be íntimate, but hoping that if they do, it'll be because Jason sees him and loves him for who he is. But once the floodgates open for Jason, all bets are off. Little lion, Cas calls him *swoon*. And he is one protective mf.
Cas, who just is the softest soul ever, would give his life for Jason. But Jason is keeping one possible issue with his health hidden from him. I liked how this part of the plot wasn't overly angsty and helped portray their deep feelings for one another.
This book made me tear up a few times because it's just so wholesome and I LOOOOVE wholesome romances. Life isn't that lovely, so give me al the sweetness, please and thank you.

Sugar daddy (*snorts*) Henrik and sweet Mal. Mal is having a rough time. Like a very very rough time due to his financial struggles. On top of being a performer at Elite 8 Studios, he's a camboy and an escort, but due to his life experiences, he feels unable to ask for help. Henrik is a super rich dude who hires escorts because he... because he hasn't met sweet Mal yet, ofc. Well, he is also blind and very particular about his companions. And he's a total sugar daddy, ask Alex, he'll tell you. Mal gets offered the gig of his life, if he stays with Henrik exclusively as his companion for 6 months, all his financial problems will be solved. What could have been utterly uncomfortable and awkward, becomes a tender relationship between the two of them that builds up to LUUURVE. And them, being who they are, keep on tiptoeing around it, as if it could break. And ofc, because Emmy cannot leave us unscathed, she breaks our hearts a few times for different reasons. I love how they truly SEE each other ...more

Myles the writer is looking for a roommate, and Avery the acupunturist is the perfect one for him. They see each other at Randy's, which is a place I wish I had in my hometown because is the queer refuge of my dreams. Myles is a trans man with a few insecurities and Avery is a bigender cutie with a larger than life personality. They are attracted to one another and the relationship development is perfection. They become each other's safe space and support. The little moments of gender reflection were AMAZING. And the intimacy was vers goodness and I'm SO HAPPY for such a sexy and sweet portrayal, so mindful and so little cishetnormative.
This book was trans queer perfection and I will shout my love for it from the rooftops....more

He's a sweet disaster, an endearingly expansive and awkward. Teddy has been in the background of the previous books as one of the performers in the studio, with total daddy vibes which turn out to be sooo on point. Dear sweet Alex, who has a penchant from playing matchmaker to perfection, already knows these two are made for one another. And, my dudes, isn't he right! After drinking themselves stupid, they wake up married. And instead of annulling their marriage, they decide to stay married for... reasons. Soon, they enter into a hubbies-with-benefits situation, that turns out to be so much more for both of them. But there are shitty things in their pasts that make them not let themselves open up freely. Shitty things and shitty people, ugh.
Teddy is a daddy dom and Kip is his doll, and I was DYING over their dynamics. This book was smutty af, but with that sweet sweet feelings Emmy infuses into all her stories.
Every new book I read from Elite 8 Studios is my new favourite... But this one is probably my favourite. For real. Maybe. 10/10 recommend.

I didn't know what to expect with the characters being porn stars, but I knew Emmy wouldn't disappoint. The positive way it is portrayed was refreshing and, as always, found family FTW. Dix is so grumpy but also such a caring person. Niki (if you don't swoon over the nickname, you have no heart) isn't just sunshine, he is positive and nice, and quite sassy. I loved their scenes together. The way Dix constantly reneged of his attraction to Niko was fun to read . And the way Niko pushed Dix's buttons was hilarious. Their scenes together were scorching hot and their dates were so wholesome. I love their slow burn love....more

The idea of a kink-friendly café run by friends who are family is such a refreshing take on kink. The concept of cosy kink is one I love, something different from the usual depictions of kink we find in romance and smut. Micah leaves his stifling hometown and starts working at the café thanks to his best friend who's a kinkster. Parker is one of the Doms that offers lessons there and he's a friend of the owner. When they meet, sparks fly. But they both are a bit broken inside, so they'll need to overcome the obstacles their past hurts put in their path. This story is character based and every single one of their interactions were wholesome, in spite of their wounds. Parker has a fear of relationships and Micah is trying to be free from diminishing himself for others. I truly loved how their kink relationship didn't obscure their personal relationship. I'm not usually a super fan of how daddy kink is portrayed (it gives me the ick, because you can be daddy without being belittling and it usually doesn't happen), but here it was PERFECTION. The way the kink community is portrayed was also on point. I loved the found family aspect of the story, as well as the hurt/comfort between thr MCs.

Sterling outdid herself with this ode to queer found family.
Reid has a very organised life and he likes it that way. He loves his family, he lives with his queerplatonic soulmate Gavin and his husband Dash, and he has a successful nanny business. But he needs a little outlet... Because, ya know, the man wants a bit of kinky fuckery from time to time, with hot older dudes. But it's one and done, no married men and no Republicans (same, Reid, same, my dude your taste is impeccable).
Enter Max. Max is an Austrian aristocrat and silver fox hunky goodness. They have a very very VERY hot encounter and Reid does his thing of 'yeah, but no, bye'. Sweet sweet Max, who had to marry a woman because 'European Prince', has been divorced for years and has two grown up daughters (yes, I know, us Euros are weird with our titles and nobility obligations, Old World shit). And at last he has decided to find his someone special. Namely Reid - aka Wes for hook up purposes. But he has bailed and there's no way to find him.
Buuuut, fate has other plans. While trying to find a way to reconnect with his estranged daughters, he ends up at Reid's house and is surprised to find hot and elusive Wes there, all the while discovering kinky hookup Wes and professional Nanny Boss Reid are one and the same. The DELIGHT Max feels at this discovery is uncontrollable and he decides then and there he won't stop until Reid agrees to be with him.
Lots of family dinners, basketball games, outings, dinners and dates ensue. But Reid will deny any of this amounts to feelings -or love, my goodness, no-, because, ya know, he doesn't do that. And he isn't going to give up his life and big queer found family, especially Gavin, for any hot and patient silver fox, no matter how much of a 'good boy' (*proceeds to melt*) he is.
But Max won't be deterred. And it was so so so wholesome and beautiful and Iovely and I want them all -the nannies, their partners and their kids, Max's daughters, and Max and Reid- to be my family forever. And go to brunch with them while we tease Reid mercilessly for his constant denial of his feelings.
Thanks K. Sterling for writing happy queer people living their happy lives and finding love along the way. Also for writing THE hottest smut to ever smut....more

Kieran deserves all the love. And, surprisingly, do does Seth. I love how Kieran transness doesn't depend on anything except himself. I love how attentive Seth is, how respectful. I wish everyone learnt from him and it was standard procedure for being a regular human being. I understand Kieran's reluctance to be the centre of attention, to be singled out or differentiated.
