My favorites of 2017 in no particular order. It was incredibly hard to choose this year as for I have found incredible books and discover new authors. I realized I have a mixed of genres this year per usual but I have truly enjoyed venturing the fantasy world it has opened up my mind and gave me much higher expectations haha. I also went back to reading oldies but goodies I haven't been able to read and boy was I missing out?!! HELL to the yes...Looking forward to another incredible year of books in 2018!!!

Apparently I suck, I never came back to review this book. Welp....I loved it all. Miles was amazing I loved everything about this book except I had some issues with one character I wanted to punch her (hides) I know I know but overall I loved the story, the plot and how my baby ended up healing. I almost wished the book was longer haha
Well, this story took me by surprise, totally different from anything I've read and yet it captivated me since the beginning. I found myself 4.5 Stars
Well, this story took me by surprise, totally different from anything I've read and yet it captivated me since the beginning. I found myself unable to stop listening to the audio book once I hit PLAY. I like Monique; the young aspiring writer. Evelyn was such a complix character; I liked the way she saw the world and how she didn't felt not one bit ashamed of her choices because she knew what she wanted. As I was reading half way though the book I didn't really think I was going to be crying like a baby around 85% ...nope I didn't see it coming those BIG tears kept on coming and I sobbed basically till 90% of the book. haha
[image]
I knew there had to be a really good reason for Evelyn's choice to pick Monique to write her story but for the love of god I couldn't think of a reason and when the twist was revealed I found myself shocked and unable to process what I read. I actually think I felt like Monique at that time; speechless hahaha.

Anyway I personally would recommend this book to everyone who is not afraid to try something different. This book is about learning how to survive the best way you can in this cruel world.
Now I know exactly what the fuzz was all about; this book was scandalous and oh so freaking good. I mean is nominated for GR best historical fiction and now I know why!!

The writing was so different from what I've read before but yet it was captivating. I freaking loved it. This book had lots of feels, so many emotions I can't even explain. The author takes you in an up and down rollercoaster ride. I laughed, I cried, I was freaking out, my anxiety was so high I have no idea what to do with myself even after hours of finishing this.

After several chapters i kinda got use to it and found the story interesting. We meet Mia; a young girl who is trying to find her place and justice for the death of her family. She is young and cocky but I liked her personality she was funny and even though sometimes she annoyed me; she managed to completely shocked me with her cleverness.
This book is full of action, funny moments, enjoyable characters but also full of gore lots of bloody crazy shit and I loved it all. The author makes you like the characters and then he will stomp on your heart by taking them away and it was such a painful yet amazing read. I liked the entire concept of her shadows and how they are part of her. There are pretty steamy scenes on this book that I personally would not recommend to young adult readers. I personally felt that sexy scenes were super hot and it made the book so much better.

In "Juniper Unraveling" we meet three main characters; Dani and Wren which both were young and full of strength and a will to survive the madness their world has become. We also meet Six; a young male who was strong but at the same time broken.
The book opens up immediately in a world of chaos, where people are trying to stay safe and others are getting killed. There was no such thing as freedom; in order to survive they all have to take risks and honestly there were so many things that happened that had me all nervous and full of anxiety.
I was intrigued from the beginning; I felt so much for everything Dani was going through. The feels were ridiculously good which something that I loved about this story is. The time and place was set where survival was everything; the book was dark and suspenseful and dangerous. There was a big twist I honestly should have guessed it but I didn't which made the story more interesting for me.
"We're the perfect, twisted match, destined for pain like a sad tragedy. The moth who fell in love with the flame. He's the reaper, and I'm his disciple."
Six stole my heart; even after meeting his dark side I still loved him. He was a perfect but at the same time damaged soul and I hurt for him; he had so much darkness within him but he was also so vulnerable and I loved that about him.
"Six is like a lighting storm in the desert, as mesmerizing as he is dark and violent, with the potential to destroy in one merciless strike."

Kennedy Garfield fell madly in love with her boyfriend while in high school; she was blinded with love that she made his dreams her priority. She basically left everything behind to be with him and gave him everything. In trying to find their dreams; she lost herself in the process. With a shattered broken heart and a child to care for she leaves her boyfriend behind to start fresh.
"Something toxic grew between us. I thought the drugs were your Krytonite, Superman, but I'm beginning to think it might be me. Am I destroying your dream?"
Johnny Cunning grew up with a privileged family. He was one of those boys I envy sometimes that they never had to study and would get straight A's just for showing up. He was smart and he was good at acting. One crazy night he was fed up with his life and the way his father treated him; he decided to run away and go search for his dreams. Once in Hollywood life wasn't easy as he thought it would; he almost gave up every day but every time he had the love of his life helping him, supporting him in every step of the way. Johnny made so many mistakes when young though he let fame and addiction destroyed the life he really wanted. He is now finally after so many years trying to repair his life and now he is back to fight for what he really think is important to him.
"I don’t deserve her time, not in the least, but I’m so desperate for some part of this woman back that I’ll steal every second that I can get."
I felt so much while reading this book. My emotions were all over the place. I found myself hating Johnny but at the same time loving him. I hurt for him but mostly I hurt for Kennedy so damn much it hurts. She was such a strong character that gave up her dreams to raise a beautiful child. When mothers put their kids before anything else they really hold a big respect in my eyes. The child, Maddie; was super cute and adorable. I freaking feel in love with that kid since the beginning; she was so funny with her innocence.
This story is about second chance romance; we get to see both the hero and heroine's point of view and I love how the author took us back to the past where everything started. We get a deeper story balanced it with so many funny moments along with some sad times. I think the chapters of the past were perfectly written I had some tears while reading them. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end; I thought it was super cool that Johnny was able to play a super hero lead actor in the movie he was making and how Maddie feel in love with the hero and the silly things she would say had me cracking up. Ghosted is the journey of a family who struggled to be happy and have their heart put back together again. Readers who enjoy second change romance will find this book appealing.

We continue the journey of Pim and Elder in Thousands. This book picks up right where the last book left off. Elder lost total control of himself in the last book and he gave in to his darkness. He freaked out and now he is trying to stay as far away from Pim as possible. With his fears he thinks that distance will save Pim from the beast he has inside. I actually need his beast to come out and play a little more (just saying haha).
Pim finds herself in a whole lot of trouble after she leaves Elder. She also thought that distance will help him; she had made up her mind that she will do anything to make him feel better after everything he has done for her. However; she finds herself with nowhere to go; running from the dangers of the streets. Little did she know that one little mistake would bring her freedom and answers she was looking for.
I don't want to give out a lof of details because I don't want to spoil this book. However; I found myself devouring it from page one and when two special characters made appearing in this book I about lost it of joy . I honestly believe this book is by far my favorite from the series. We get to see Elder and Pim's relationship grow to a new lever of intimacy and trust. Even with Pim's torture past she is now managing to heal and learning how to deal. And with each passing day she falls more in love with Elder. She finds herself learning how to read him and his turmoil mind and realized that she can help him. Elder guards himself from his feelings but no matter what he does; he just couldn't stay away from Pim and ended up doing what he didn't think was possible.
“Love was simple. It was life that made it complicated. And I was done waiting for him to figure it out.”

“But now I was awake and ready to feel everything. And those scraps and stars weren’t enough anymore. I wanted planets. I wanted galaxies. I wanted his heart.”
Thousands is a dark erotica about two people fighting to be free of their past. Two people struggling with their own darkness and trying to find true love in the midst of it all. Readers of dark suspense will find this series addicting and this book impossible to put down. The plot was so addicting with dark elements and with a great surprise from author added to the end of the story. I was absolutely in shock when I saw the twist; it left me breathless, speechless and screaming of joy because oh boy the final book is going to be explosive. So excited to see how this will end.

Jon Doherty's life has turned out a complete blur. He wakes up in a hospital with amnesia; after a terrible night he found himself not knowing who he was and what he did in the past. Jon found himself in a totally new life; he decided to make the best out of it by getting a job and making something for himself.
When Jon was finally getting himself in a routine; he meets someone that recognized him and now he is more conflicted than ever. He was upset that he couldn't remember but more upset at himself that he was so reckless with his life before his amnesia.
“She’s my ghost, she haunts me. I don’t remember her, but I know her.”
I felt so much for Delaney; finding out that the love of her life didn't remember her. She thought that believing he was dead was horrible; instead she realized that knowing he will never remember what they had together was worse.
“Why!? Why, god, why, this is almost worse...She curled into the fetal position and sobbed.”

“Her heart was breaking for a man that didn’t exist anymore. For a love that should’ve lasted forever.”
This book brought so many emotions in me. I was so happy, and then sad, then I was crying a river; I loved the hero and the heroine in this story. All the characters in this story were also likable. I enjoyed the friendships Jon built with his social service lady it was super cool and I laughed a lot. This story is about two broken souls that loved with all their hearts and the heart ache that brings when making bad choices.
I loved this story so much; it was refreshing and full of feels. The author delivers a fantastic story of love, loss and life in general how two people can love each other so much that even after all their mistakes and tragedy they have hope. This book will be appealing to readers looking for a second change romance.

[image] This book ughhh It was amazing, the words just captivated my soul. It was funny, it was sad it was deep and it was exactly what I needed when I read it. The story is so unique told from dual point of view of Rachel and Henry. My heart felt so much reading this book. I seriously recommend this book to everyone. I loved all the characters, I found myself laughing so much. And of course crying a river as well lol.
The characters: *Henry the boy Rachel loves but he doesn't know because she never told him. Henry the idiot who is in love(lust) with Amy (who I totally hate) lol.
*Rachel lost her brother to the water and is now coming back to her old town where she left so much behind. She is trying to find herself again after such a loss. And CAL I have a special place in my heart for this boy. He is Rachel's brother and we get to see a lot of his letters in this book, love him.
*George is Henry's sister, i love her character and the letters she writes with Martin and the mystery boy. She cracks me up.
*Martin he was such a wonderful character. He made me laugh so much too. He loves George and never gave up on her. He took the job at George's family business so that he could be closer to her.
The story is about a family trying to keep their life time business going but fail. Their business has been more about people and not about making money; Henry and his family own a half price book store and their entire life is the books and the library. (I would love to own one just like they did lol). They created a bookshelf for books where readers come in and write secret letters to other readers. The entire story has me so fascinated I really enjoyed reading all the letters and the words this author wrote so beautiful and breathtaking. I seriously recommend this book to everyone.
Some funny parts I enjoyed so much:
"There should be a disconnect button you can push when someone leaves: you've fucked me over, therefore I no longer love you." Henry
"Dear Martin, Fuck off and stop writing me. George"--- "Dear George, I'm not fucking off. I'm your friend. Friends don't fuck off. And by the way, friends don't tell each other to fuck off, either. Martin"

This book takes place three years after the conclusion of the second book in the series therefore you must read in order. In this book we get to meet Benny in a whole new light. Benny, the villain; the lunatic and crazy one; the one who doesn't apologize for his actions and the way he feels. I absolutely loved everything about him in this book; I'm not sure if that's good or bad but I really want him to be happy. His past was dark and you can't really blame him for being who he is.
"The man they killed had a fetish, I know that now. But the man they created in the ashes has a need-a dark, deep-rooted urge that can only be sated by feeding its hunger."
We get to see new characters that play a really great deal in Benny's relationship. Benny finds a new doll that is different but exactly what he has been looking for. After three years of missing his old doll, Benny needed to take her back by any means necessary except he didn't predict finding something better.
"This is two souls reaching for one another. Like gravity, we are being pulled to each other."

"I fuck her bare because she's mine. I fuck her hard because she's mine. I fuck her to the point of pain because she's mine."
I love the fact that this book was so unpredictable. There were so many twists to this story that had me trying to guess each second. I found myself unable to stop reading and craving more. The authors really outdid themselves by creating a dark suspense story that no one saw coming. All the events leading to the end had me on the edge of my seat and when I got to the end I was screaming at my kindle wishing it didn't end at ninety-three percent. I was like how? Why? I need answers lol. This book will be appealing for readers who enjoy dark suspense books.

“Life is made of so many moments that mean nothing. Then one day, a single moment comes along to define every second that comes after. Such moments are tests of courage, of strength.”
Laia; a seventeen year old is forced to witness the death of her grandparents and the capture of her brother Dylan. From there the story is a non stop suspenseful ride full of twists and turns and events I can't even beginning to explain.
Elias Veturias is desperate to leave his current situation. He was taken to Blackcliff Military Academy to train for the Emperor and has seen so many deaths he can't think of. All he wants is a free life; a life he can be himself and don't have to think about deaths and expectations.
“There are two kinds of guilt. The kind that's a burden and the kind that gives you purpose.
Laia has promise to do anything to rescue her brother even if that meant sacrificing her freedom to work as a spy at the Blackcliff. She knew it wouldn't be easy but she knew as well that she didn't have a choice. She meets Elias there and they instantly clicked somehow. They both were searching for freedom
.
"All the beauty of the stars means nothing when life here on earth is so ugly."

The story was unique and I found myself lost in it. I couldn't seem to put it down I felt like I needed to finish it to be able to breathe. Because honestly it was one amazing journey; I needed Laia and Elias to be happy I wanted them to be together. I had so much anxiety reading this book; when something good finally happened worse things happened next and the plot was so twisted I never knew what was coming.Readers looking for a great young adult fantasy full of twists and a page turner you have found it on this book.

This book was a complete and utterly incredible ride. It is a journey you do not want to miss. Everything I look for in a book for was here. The emotional feels, laughter I mean I seriously laughed so damn hard, butterflies they were making me all fuzzy inside, smoking, hot sexy scenes. There was nothing I hated about this book at all. I absolutely fell in love with the hero and the heroine they were both badass and stubborn and incredible amazing together. The side characters had me dying laughing so hard too they were just hilarious. This story was so unique packed with action and so much feels with just perfection. I loved seeing Dorian's kinky side on this book I feel there is so much more from him that the author did not give us and I am truly looking forward to seeing more more in the final book. Manon was a character I fell in love since the start of the series and she didn't disappoint one bit. Her character and her clan was on point and I am dying to see what she has to offer to this war.
I felt sad not seeing one special character here but I know his book is next and I can't wait to read it all over again. So much happened in this book I can't even explain; things I won't say in case of spoilers. However; I loved Rowan he was truly an incredible character.
