While I was waiting I looked up her other books and found this one. When I saw that it was her first book, was initially self-published, was only $3.99 and was about a Siren, I wasn't terribly interested. But then, I really enjoyed The Selection...and it was only $3.99...so I thought, "Why not?" I am so glad I did, I really enjoyed it! It is unique! And while being a Siren is essential to the story, it's not in the way you think it will be. The way the main character, Khalen, has to work through her thoughts and feelings are communicated so well and her thoughts are deep, complex and well-developed. It was a privilege to go on this journey with her. Also, I was grateful for the nature of Khalen and Akinli's physical relationship...It was in good taste. Her relationships were so loving! Also, the humor in the story-telling was delightful! I really, really enjoyed it! Thanks for such an enjoyable story!...more

The stories and miracles discussed are very touching. My daughters both liked it so much they re-read it and wrote book reports on it for school. Then their teachers and classmates wanted to borrow the book to read it. If only we could be like Margaret...there would be world peace! I believe she will be canonized! It is a great book!...more
