But This book is beautifully written, it continues the story of Jess and Robbie, this time they’re heading off on their belated honeymoon to Ireland. But what unfolds is a story of tragedy, survival, and a dark time in Irish history. The way it’s told touches the reader as it shines a light of hope for a brighter future. The heartache and betrayal, love and compassion written in this book will stay with the reader long after they’ve turned the final page.
If you haven’t read The Accidental Wife and The Accidental Stranger, I honestly advise that you do so, this is a series that you won’t want to miss out on, and be prepared for the famous last words, just one more chapter....more

I genuinely believed that I would devour it during my full day of travelling as the blurb sounded interesting. That didn't happen. I struggled with this book. Two weeks later I finally finished it, sadly though the ending was a bigger let down than I would have thought possible. First off, I haven't read Lovecraft or this author before, so I read this with no Lovecraftian expectations. I'm fascinated by history both the good and the bad, I found the guide book mentioned in this book upsetting that such a thing would have been necessary. At the beginning of the book Atticus has his copy taken from him by a racist cop, I for some reason expected there to be something further happening related to this incident, for otherwise what was the explicit point of this happening? Well, nothing further happened on that subject, which felt like a waist to be honest, my reason for saying this is simply because that book informs the cop of all safe places and contact details that are there and I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd taken advantage of having such valuable information. Why else take the book? Atticus is meant to mention the loss of the book to his uncle, but doesn't. Again why mention it if you're not following up on it? In this book every single white person except for one is racist. Caleb sees everyone no matter the colour of their skin as a means to an end, his character is actually quite refreshing as he's the most upfront about what he wants and how he goes about achieving it. Letitia is another character I really liked, she's straightforward and determined, a strong female who gets things done but doesn't feel the need to shout you're welcome. An example of this is when she's eating an apple at a gas station and Atticus is eating a banana and three white men decide to make fun of him for doing so. To me the falling oil drums was obviously knocked over by Letitia, but Atticus didn't figure this out, similar situations happen during the trip when Letita saves the day etc yet two smart men (Atticus and George) can't figure out that the female in their midst is the one saving them. Now, when the supernatural aspects start happening, something that the characters aren't meant to have known about prior they don't even bat an eyelid in reaction. If they'd found a fly in their coffee I'm sure they'd have more of a reaction than they had towards the supernatural happenings. Yet these issues are not even the top of the issue I have with this book. Atticus's farther Montrose is a huge issue. I can get over him being not likable, but it's his hitting a kid he doesn't know across the face, knocking him to the ground because he feels he has a right to, I have huge issue with. The boy in question was going to buy a coke from a white mans coke machine situated outside his shop. Scrawled on a sign it states it's for only white people, yet the man had given the two boys permission to buy a coke each from the machine. I would call this the beginning of progress and hopefully the removal of a horrible sign. Montrose who doesn't know the boys takes great offense to the fact that they would dare spend their money on a coke from a white man and slaps one boy and demands that they give him the respect he's due and do as he (a complete stranger) tells them and for them to go home yadda yadda yadda. There is so much development of characters that should have been done but didn't happen. I really struggled with this book and with writing this review....more

He's driven a wedge between her and all her friends except for one, Jaylee. Jaylee will never let Timothy drive her away, and urges Krista to leave him.
On the night that Krista decided enough is enough, she finally meets the man she's been dreaming of every night for a year. Things get hot and heavy straight away.
This book is short but smoking hot. Even though you wish like crazy that Krista had left Timothy years ago, you understand that with this kind of abuser they wear you down and take you apart, until you hardly recognize yourself in the mirror. The fact that Jaylee refused to be driven from Krista's life is tantamount to their friendship. As for Arden, well, he's just divine. The sex scenes are spicy and you're glad that Krista is getting what she deserves, satisfaction is definitely guaranteed....more

For twelve long years she has searched, and the closer she comes to finding him the more perilous her journey is. Upon meeting Lord Gregor Cyrene, things become more intense, due to the attraction they have for one another, an attraction she finds distracting and yet can't resist. But more is at stake when she believes she has found her nephew and danger raises its head. Enemies come out from all sides and knowing who to trust becomes unclear. It's her protective instincts and her secrets that cause strife between herself and Gregor, for how can she accept his offer of help when she hides so much from him? This book is wonderful, the world building, the characters and the mystery. You keep rooting for Nadia and Gregor and hoping that everything will work out all right. This is the first book in the series and I would advise having the next book ready so you can delve into it....more
