This book is about Tim O'Brien (the character, an author) written by Tim O'Brien (the author, an author) about Tim O'Brien's (the character) stories in the Vietnam War. Confused yet? The story is split-up into 22 chapters that are really more like episodes. They don't go in chronological order and they don't all follow Tim (the character). These snippets show the gore and sadness of the war in the Vietnam bush. Throughout the story, Tim (the author) begins to show how the lines between reality and fiction in war stories (and life in general) can become blurred. At this point, I (may I add I was quite confused and did a little googling) realized that Tim (the author) and Tim (the character) kind of start to blend, maybe (I'm still kinda confused!). The chapter "How to Tell True War Story" delved into this topic and the lines between reality and fiction
Also, this book is talks about the art of storytelling and how stories are much like dreams and people can live on through them. The writing is so beautiful! This is not just another war book, although it is of course set during the Vietnam War. I cannot wait to discuss this with my English class when we go back in a couple of weeks and I hope that everyone reads this book, even if it's not required for school! Happy reading! ...more

This book was such a great challenge to my view of Jesus and the simplified version of Christianity we seem to have here in America. Jeff shows Jesus as who he truly is and how he deeply wants a relationship with us! This is such a great book to read if you want to go deeper into a relationship with Jesus and need some help in figuring out how to do that. Highly recommend!! Happy reading!...more

There were several interesting ideas talked about and ahhhh I'm still very confused! I didn't enjoy this installment quite as much as book 1, but it was still fairly enjoyable! It was not as fast paced either. If you enjoyed the characters from the 5th Wave, then you'll probably enjoy the Infinite Sea, but if you just liked the plot, book 2 may not be for you! I, personally, think it was worth the read! Happy Reading!...more

I LOVED this installment of the Embassy Row series! So much stuff went down in this book and I read it in less than 24 hours! Once again, Ally Carter gave us a huge cliff hanger towards the end! I really don't want to spoil anyone on the plot because I enjoyed it so much and I don't want to ruin that for anyone. I will say everyone can fly through it! Okay so spoilers coming soon! Happy Reading!
**********SPOILERS AHEAD************* Also, none of these thoughts are really coherent, just thoughts I had throughout the story. I've totally switched from team Noah to team Alexei in this book. What about you guys? The ending! Wow! I absolutely loved the inclusion of the secret society in this book. I was obsessed with Alexei's personality. I really hope that in the next book Grace will find some people she can trust *cough* Alexei *cough* The hot springs scene was so adorable and I loved it I felt like Jamie was a tad too protective of Grace throughout the story I hope there's more of the secret society in the next book! I feel like there are still some loose ends as to why someone was coming after Alexei and that they get tied up in the next book Dominic's character is so interesting and I love reading about him Ok I think that's all I've got to say about the book at the current moment. I'm so sorry if you just read all those and spoiled yourself, but you should definitely read it! Happy Reading! ...more

This book gave me some great realizations of what it means to have a deep and real relationship with God. It's a little bit dry at times, but the overall book is fantastic if you're looking for ways to make your faith a little more interactive. I strongly recommend this book for all young Christians! I just finished this book and purposely have not read any reviews yet so I can write a truly non-biased review! This may be my favorite Cassie Clare book! I absolutely LOVE Julian (especially his art room with pics of Emma-I predicted that from the start) and his relationship with Emma! I loved Julian's fatherly spirit and protectiveness- it made me swoon so very much! And I totally loved Emma's kick-butt greatness! The ending with Mark and Emma literally killed me and made me want to slap her, but she was doing what was best for them. The plot was also super crazy and awesome! I totally didn't see that villain coming and I really enjoyed that twist! I really loved having the connections in there from TMI and TID!!! I could say so much more but if you haven't read it yet, just read it! I think my favorite scene was when Julian shows Emma his private room it just made me so happy! Happy reading!...more
