The art style is gorgeous. The character design flawless (I will always love the somewhat geeky T-shirts Dick wears). And the heart-pounding action increased exponentially.
All in all a wonderful sequel to the previous comics....more
I can attribute my paltry Batman knowledge to my sister (not the fact that my knowledge is paltry but the fact that I have any knowledge at all). She I can attribute my paltry Batman knowledge to my sister (not the fact that my knowledge is paltry but the fact that I have any knowledge at all). She fell in love with the characters of the 1966 TV show and, due to some exploration, fell in love with the comics too. She has become quite the connoisseur.
In an effort to keep up with her, I have striven to educate myself. That endeavor has been fun and led to some surprising discoveries.
Nightwing was one of those surprising discoveries.
My sister had recently finished this comic and, knowing my growing love for Mr. Grayson (based mostly on the “Wayne Family Adventures” webcomic), recommended that I read it. She said I would enjoy it. She was entirely correct. I had no idea that I was about to read a new favorite.
The story is fascinating: a story of Dick Grayson, who has been on his own for a while but is still trying to figure out exactly who he is. Dick Grayson, who happens upon some vital information that changes his life. Dick Grayson ,who gives his heart freely and fights for those he loves, along with those who don’t exactly deserve it.
I quick fell in love with this man. He may be more well known for his “boy wonder” days, but I think his heroism extends to Nightwing as well (and his Nightwing adventures may be a bit more interesting—no offense Bruce). I may not be well versed in his entire life story, but Dick’s story within these pages is inspiring. This comic gives a great introduction to the uninitiated—something I can’t always say of some comics.
Plus, we get some pretty amazing drop-ins. (view spoiler)[We get Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, Bruce Wayne, and Clark Kent, just to name a few. (hide spoiler)] Mr. Grayson may seem like a broke kid in a run-down flat, but he has connections. Friends in high places, if you will.
We also get some fantastic BatFam moments, which I greatly enjoyed. (view spoiler)[For instance, Dick gets his wallet stollen by some punk kids and Babs immediately exposes this man in the BatFam group chat. (hide spoiler)]
If you have any interest in what happened to Dick Grayson after his iconic Robin days . . . . Or you want to explore some of Nightwing’s world. Or if you crave heart-pounding action, jaw-dropping revelations, and cute puppies. Or if you want to see come of the cameos mentioned earlier, then you’ll want to check this one out. ...more

First of all, it’s about Sophos, whom has been one of my favorites from the very beginning. (I hated Gen’s nickname of “Useless the Younger” but I refrained from fighting him lol)
I loved getting to see the world from Sophos’s mind. He’s so sweet and a little nerdy and sensitive and I love him, y’all. I will say that this book was a bit difficult to read a times (cause I love this man so much) and hearing his experiences with kidnapping (or kingnapping if you will lol) was heartbreaking. I seriously wanted to beat some people up a few times.
And Sophos and Helen are so adorable together. I had never noticed their love before and I loved its exploration before.
Eugenides and Sophos. I love their friendship that borders on a brotherly relationship so much.
“You shot the ambassador????” “You gave me the gun.”
Sends me into a fit of laughter every time.
Basically, I have fallen deeply in love with Sophos and the only fault I found with this book is how quickly I read it. (hide spoiler)]...more
