I wasn't a fan of the Jeremy relationship anyway, and then to just have this happen.
Belly was basically a 1-dimensional character for the majority of the book.
The only character worth anything was Conrad. And letters from his mom. I'm just glad that people reacted appropriately to the fuckery. And then the way the story even bails on things itself... like welp... let's just forget all of that and skip into the sunset.
Just... ugh. I feel like this is a trend with Jenny Han trilogies... I don't even want to watch the show now...

LOVE what this one adds to the series as a whole!
This one translated even better to audio with a faster pacing and more voices narrating. Reading this one 5 years later, I see all kinds of links that I missed the first time and how the overall stories merge and build together even more. Hanna's journal entries with her anime-style drawings are the biggest thing missing from the audio.
The genius planning and story-telling team of Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff are just delightful. As much as I love Kady and AIDAN, this book is overall better. But they are both still awesome.

I do love the unveiling of the villain, and the mental health location was interesting.

The twin issues turned into a body switch, and the depth of character felt more like it was at surface level. By the time things got good, the tale was wrapping up, and I wanted more.
I love this series and these characters, but I just wanted a bit more from this specific book.
Already looking forward to the next one and what the ramifications of a certain death will have on the overall school.
