We stared at one another, chests heaving, the music echoing around us while flashes of light alternated between illuminating us and throwing us into shadow. Killian’s pupils were wide and dark, but I noticed the same alarm flaring in his gaze."
I have enjoyed all the books so far in Becca Steele's LSU series and Ignited is another good read. Although this trope is not my favourite (age gap/student x teacher), I love the way Becca weaves together the story within the LSU universe and it was fun to finally meet JJ (and his grumpy Killian) properly.

He could snap me in half, but at the same time, his touch was as delicate as butterfly wings. He could move faster than I could track, but right now, he barely moved at all."
Ariana Nash continues the craziness in book 4 of her SOS Hotel series. Adam's troubles continue in SOS Hotel: Great Service from Top to Bottom and in this instalment, whatever is happening with the (usually) hilariously murdery AI bartender Tom Collins does not bode well and needs fixing. As a priority.
SOS Hotel: Great Service from Top to Bottom is still MM on the romance front, and whilst Adam has fallen for both his paranormal business partners, he's currently just scratching that itch with Zee. When he can pin him down. And sort of a bit with Vampire Daddy (it's a Zee thing). And then there's the whole watching thing. With the three of them.....

He chuckles. “We’re gonna have so much fun playing this game, baby girl.” My glare deepens as he backs away. “What’s the game?” “You are,” he says simply."
Oh, it's been a long time coming but it was sooo worth the wait! Chaos at Westbrook High is the final book in The Kingston Brothers series by Bethany Winters. Whilst the three books can theoretically be read as standalones, you really need to read them all and in the correct order to get the full story arc and an understanding of all the characters. Start with Kings of Westbrook High which is the background to the family, but is essentially Callie and Damon's story (MF), followed by Reckless at Westbrook High which is Wren and Levi's story (MM and my fave) and finally this beauty, Chaos at Westbrook High which is Hailey and Kai's story.
Kai wants Hailey from the second he sees her, and what a Kingston brother wants he generally gets. But there is not a hope in hell of Hailey making it easy for him.

Wristlocked: A Dark College Sports Romance is the debut novel from the fabulous AK Blythe and is the first in their Broken Boys of Cirque series. I am seriously hoping for many more to come if book 1 is anything to go on!
This is Gia, Lyot and Gale's story and whilst Gia is the bright light at the centre of the trio, Lyot and Gale have an equally turbulent, passionate, dark and twisted relationship together, as well as individually with Gia.
When they finally work out that it takes the three of them to make a whole, the spice turns up a whole extra level too!
What To Expect:
♥️ Dark romance ♥️ MMF, MM and MF interactions ♥️ Found family ♥️ Bi-awakening ♥️ Circus/aerial acrobat theme ♥️ Angsty ♥️ Extreme spice ♥️ Broken boys ♥️ Changing power imbalnace ♥️ Pain play ♥️ HEA
Take care to read the author's notes as there are some dark themes, but I absolutely loved it!

He was the monolith I had fallen in love with and who somehow, miraculously, loved me back."
Coaching Prince Charming is the seventh and final novel in Hayden Hall's Arctic Titans of Northwood U series. It can be read on its own, but reading the entire series in the order of release helps with the overarching team dynamic and characters. This is Carter and Nate's story.
What to Expect:
❥MM sports romance ❥Age gap (19 years) ❥Size difference ❥Coach/player ❥Dad's friend and ex-teammate ❥Forbidden ❥Steamy times ❥HEA
Short and sweet. Not my fave instalment but loved the series overall.

Because if he found out that’s what this is, would he still be willing to do this with me? He’d said no feelings, but I’m not so sure I can keep that promise."
Shutter Bug is a steamy MM romance and the second book in the Not Suitable For Work series by new-to-me author Vari Scott. The books are interconnected standalones and for the best experience should be read in order, as some of the characters cross-over between the books. That said, I hadn't read book 1 Grease Monkey, which is a MF romance, beforehand and it didn't spoil my enjoyment of Shutter Bug.
This is Mason and Bowie's story.

(view spoiler)["Jean Moreau came back to himself in pieces, dragging himself together as he had a thousand mornings before."
"He hasn’t played a clean game in years," Kevin admitted, "but he knows how to follow orders. If you tell him to submit, he will." "Literally the most awkward way you could’ve worded it," Jeremy said.
"On his fingertips he counted to two: A cool evening breeze. Rainbows."
"Jean noticed how Andrew and Neil moved like they were caught in each other’s gravity, in each other’s space more than they were out of it, cigarette smoke and matching armbands and lingering looks when one fell out of orbit for too long."
"Nathaniel was his broken promise; Neil’s life was none of his business."
"Later Jean would understand why Wymack was so worried about him, but later was too late to do anything about it."
"It didn’t matter that Jeremy Knox was annoyingly easy to look at; Jean knew better than to look at another man too long. He’d learned that lesson the hard way and would not survive a revisit."
"There was no point denying it when they’d known each other this long. Jean was exactly the kind of guy Jeremy was prone to trip himself up over: raven-haired, gray-eyed, and tall without being gangly."
"We only had so much space to work with around here," Jeremy said with a helpless shrug. "It’s not about size, anyway." "Defensive," Jean said, tugging his glove straps with his teeth. Jeremy straightened in indignation. "I don’t have anything to be defensive about." Jean lost his grip and bit his lip, and Jeremy hurried on before either of them could think too much about that double entendre."
"Jean favored him with a pitying look. "You are the captain of the sunshine court. In no universe could you be anyone’s villain."
"A cool evening breeze. Rainbows. Open roads. Teammates.....Friends, he thought again, and this time it almost felt real." (hide spoiler)]
SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS SERIES AND THESE BROKEN BOYS.
I don't know if I can survive the wait for book 5.

I wanted that. Wanted him. Wanted to lick him all over, then have him tell me what to do and how to do it."
Ariana Nash continues the craziness in book 3 of her SOS Hotel series. Adam's troubles continue in SOS Hotel: Sleep With Us. Firstly, there's the body in the flower beds (don't ask). Zee's being so badly treated by his ex-boss Sebastien that Adam (who's 100% completely and totally human of course) may well self-combust and completely flatten Razorsedge, whilst Reynard's remaining pale and stoic and unsufferably irresistable, so much so that even Zee is tempted, oh and the Demon General Copernicus is putting something unthinkable in his pies.
And don't get me started on the hilariously murdery AI bartender Tom Collins, who most definitely isn't functioning as he should.
SOS Hotel: Sleep With Us is still MM on the romance front and whilst Adam has fallen for both his paranormal business partners, he's currently just scratching that itch with Zee. But you can feel the MMM looming once the vamp and demon sort out their issues - and who doesn't adore an enemies to lovers show-down?!

I usually liked guys closer in age to me— in their late twenties at the least— and I preferred them well built. Bloom was slender and too damn young. Not to mention, he took people’s lives while I worked to save them."
Bloom: Part One is the third book in Gianni Holmes's The Smoky Vale Alliance spin-off series, following the (often violent!) life and loves of the men in a MC club. This is Bloom and Logan's story.
"Everything about him is a red flag. Everything. He’s needy, desperate, pushy, and toxic. He’s a contradiction to himself, and he sees some sort of"Everything about him is a red flag. Everything. He’s needy, desperate, pushy, and toxic. He’s a contradiction to himself, and he sees some sort of forlorn fortune telling, already dooming us before this thing starts. He’s snarky and cruel because he’s honest and blunt about it, and he’s everything that pisses me off in a person. Entitled. Negative. Grumpy as fuck. A pessimist and a loner. An overthinker who can cause a fight with every word that comes out of my mouth. But he makes me feel so fucking alive."
I am in love with Reid and Atticus. I knew this would happen, even though I am (generally) a lover of the darker romance books. But this is Nordika Night and IMHO she never misses the mark with her characters and their stories. Red Flags & Tuesdays is another total winner for me!
"The trouble is, I have a thing for each and every one of his red flags. I want them. Have to have them. Want them all. Want to collect them and stitch them all into one giant red flag. Then I want to cut a neat slit in the middle of that big ole red flag and drape it over my head so I can wear it as a kaftan."
Work: Strictly Professional is the second book in Jesse H. Reign's new Bad Decisions series, which are all linked standalone reads. So whilst you can totally enjoy this as a standalone because the books are showcasing very different relationships, you'll probably get more out of the books if you read them in order, as some of the previous characters make cameo appearances. This is Wyn and Derek's story.
"I thought this was going to be the story about how I lost Jack, it’s not, it’s the story about how I found my way to you."
I am loving every page "I thought this was going to be the story about how I lost Jack, it’s not, it’s the story about how I found my way to you."
I am loving every page of S. Legend's Heartbreak Hockey series and whilst they can be read as standalones, I would highly recommend that you read them in order for a better understanding of the overarching story, starting with Heartbreak Hockey.
Ice Dance Hockey continues with Rhett and Logan's story (remember Rhett pining after Jack in book 1? And Logan being introduced as Mercy's ice-dancing, fiery diva of a brother?!) and it is a gorgeously swoony, funny, slow burn, steamy pot of sunshine!
"His tongue in my mouth is still novelty enough to send a burst of tingles straight to my aching dick. He tries to pull me closer, but I’m already as close as I can be. My fingernails bite into his neck, sprouting several points of slippery wetness. He flinches, but the violence encourages him, and he mauls my mouth with a string of kisses. I let one hand fist his shirt, and we inhale in sync before finally breaking apart. What the … what the hell was that?"

Maybe he’d forgotten that in these past months, but it was all coming back to him now when a thread of anticipation swept through him. What was the worst that could happen? He accepted the invitation."
Whilst Devil in the Details can be read and enjoyed as a standalone, I do highly recommend that you immediately download and devour Between the Devil and the Sea first, as Devil in the Details is a companion book of sorts with that one, featuring the ex-work partner of our MC, Gael Thiago.
Devil in the Details is an absolute rollercoaster of twisted delights, set in a complex, rich and exotic sci-fi world that Chani Lynn Feener has seamlessly and effortlessly created for our reading pleasure!
Gael is a Detective and a Sampson (a race who are well known for their free thinking around sexuality and sex in general), and is taking some time out from his IPF police work at the exclusive Moonward Manor, a club that caters to the dark and twisted.
Whilst Gael is there searching for answers about his ex-partner, Detective Shadow Yor, he meets the delicious Kai Laurier and they explore some of his darker k*nks together. When Gael receives an invitation from the mysterious Owner to a Murder Mystery weekend event, he decides to attend. Except the event turns out to be anything but harmless fun.....
Do check out the author's warnings as there are some dark themes, but you will absolutely inhale this if you love:

But with Lane, the key turns so effortlessly, perfectly. And no, I’m not using euphemisms to describe our sex life, although that is off the scales as well."
Another cracker of a novella from Jax Calder! As regular readers of my reviews will know, I don't really like novellas but this duology has been one of the exceptions to my rule.
Lane has recently come out of a long-term relationship, and not a very good one as it turns out. His BFF has encouraged him to have a no-strings, no-relationship, totally out of character hook-up to clear his head and let his hair down.
And so he heads to a bar. And hits on Sam. Who is totally adorable. And totally up to the challenge.
But what happens to their one-off hook up when it seems as though fate is conspiring to push them back together....?
Off the charts chemistry, fabulous steamy times, cute as anything non-relationship and a HEA. What more could you ask for? Apart from some more chapters of adorable!❣️

Red Haze is the third book in the Caffeine Daydreams series by Lark Taylor, about the life and loves of the guys in a rock band called - you guessed it - Caffeine Daydreams.
This is Jack and Arlo's story and it's a heart-wrencher, so come prepared with the tissues! If you love bodyguard/rockstar, seemingly unrequited love with ALL THE ANGST, this will be the book for you!
"That’s it. I can’t stand it anymore. The bromance is all well and good, but tonight, I need to cut the strings and get laid."
Bromantic Puckboy by"That’s it. I can’t stand it anymore. The bromance is all well and good, but tonight, I need to cut the strings and get laid."
Bromantic Puckboy by Eden Finley and Saxon James is the sixth book in the Puckboys series of standalone (but interlinked) MM books, following the life and loves of teammates and rivals in the NHL.
This series follows on as a spin-off to Eden and Saxon's delicious CU Hockey series, hence we get some glorious cameo appearances from the boys in the Collective to enjoy!
This is Miles and (Cody) Bilson's story.
What To Expect:
❣️MM sports (hockey) romance ❣️Double bi-awakening ❣️Found family ❣️Friends to lovers ❣️Slow burn ❣️Steamy first times ❣️Cute AF bromance ❣️HEA
Another classic sports romance from the formidable Finley/James combo - fun, easy reading, low angst and a HEA. What's not to love?!
"He’d been with an athletic girl once, but her body was incomparable to the sturdiness of Liv’s form, the texture of his skin, the masculine scent "He’d been with an athletic girl once, but her body was incomparable to the sturdiness of Liv’s form, the texture of his skin, the masculine scent he carried… He took charge of things. He was playful, dirty, exhilarating and tender. Liv was like the cars he loved to race⸺ dangerous yet irresistible to any adrenaline junkie."
Wanted by K.A. Merikan is book 5 in the author's Wrong Side of the Tracks series but it can totally be read as a standalone. This is Knox and Liv's story.
What to Expect:
❥MM romance ❥Bi-awakening ❥Gay awakening ❥Found family ❥"Mine" ❥Friends to lovers ❥Fake relationship ❥All the steam ❥All the first times ❥HEA
Liv and Knox are ride or dies besties, literally, when Liv accidentally ends Knox's boss, who is threatening to kill Knox. They end up on the run, masquerading as lovers to gain sanctuary (of sorts) with a group of morally questionable, but ultimately lovable, reprobates.
Whilst Wanted has all the violence, steam and spice that K.A. Merikan is well-known for, it's also a totally endearing tale of life-long friendship and a growing sexual awakening for both our MCs, in the tough, violent and often toxic world they find themselves in.
