First Impressions There With You is the second book in the Adair Family series and after loving the first book I was more than ready to get this book read and I am so happy that I finally picked it up. I had some reservations concerning this heroine, as I didn’t receive the best impression of her in the first book. But from the first chapter, I knew that this book would work for me and yeah I was right on that because this book was everything that I could have hoped for and more.. I don’t know what it is about this series that just works for me, but they are becoming some of my favorites of this authors work and she has some great past work I have loved dearly. I really was intrigued by the heroine though, and she definitely isn’t a character you expect and she has more depth and layers to her personality than you would expect. This is a boss/employee relationship and it definitely worked for me, I felt like it was written really well and their relationship isn’t rushed and you definitely get plenty of development for it to work and not feel off for the reader and plus we have some adorable kids that just added a lightness to the story that offered balance.
Summary Regan Penhaligo, is on the run after having to avoid a stalker and almost rapist who has formed a weird obsession with her. She has avoided her sister long enough, and she travels to Scotland to find her and repair the damage that she has caused to their relationship. When she arrives in Scotland, she gets a less than warm welcome, which she knows that she deserves. But then she meets Thane, her future brother-in-law’s brother who is a widow with two young children and is on the hunt for a nanny. Regan spent years as a nanny and she connects with the children just perfectly and she begins her new job as the many to Thane’s children. Regan and Thane begin a journey together, that will benefit the children. But as they spend more time together, there is more than slowly grows between Regan and Thane, something they both try to avoid to maintain a professional relationship, but they know what is between them is special and not one to be taken lightly. Even though they know their families will frown down on a relationship between them, they build in secret even knowing how forbidden it is, but as they build a trust between them, their pasts will come to haunt them, and will they be able to survive the coming tide of danger and drama that is heading their way and will their love be strong enough or will it break under the pressure?
What I Loved There were so many elements I really loved about this book. The first is the humor, the way that the heroine gets dropped into Scotland and can’t understand the heavy accents (which I found hilarious she didn’t even know the meaning of “ken”), and then we have the light nature of joy that the two children really bring to the story was so precious, (And YES I love kids in romance especially when they are written well and doesn’t take away from the romance), then we have the beautiful scenery and culture of Scotland that is so beautifully captured. Its not surprise as the author is originally from Scotland. Then we have the forbidden romance between Thane and Regan which I LOVED this. I love a forbidden love, and knowing that their relationship was heading into something more just really worked. It didn’t feel iffy or weird or wrong at all, because you see how much they fight to maintain that professionalism but that what they have towards each other is mutual and they make sure the kids come first and are the priority and I really liked seeing that. They definitely have some hills of struggle to work through as trying to work through the forbidden aspects of their relationships isn’t easy at all and they both have struggles they need to overcome. I really felt like the suspense element wasn’t as strong as I was expecting it to be but when it does build into the story and happen, it definitely had me on edge. This story had me in my feels and I just couldn’t put it down and as it’s a 12-hour audiobook and I listened to it in ONE day should tell you how much I was hooked on this one.
What I Struggled With There was only one issue I really had with this story that kept it from a full five-star which is the element of the hero and the way in which he pushes away Regan. Her mother is a piece of work and Thane really is cruel pushing her away toward the end of the story I really didn’t like how he let her mother have him push Regan out of his life and his children’s life so completely without thinking it through and letting the shame override what he knew in his heart.
The Narration The narrator for this book and this series has been doing such a tremendous job in capturing the perfect feel of the book and portraying it so well to the reader. She also has such a beautiful voice and really handles the accents very well and she is just right in capturing the right personalities for the characters.
Overall View There With You is a majestic contemporary romance with a hint of suspense in the beautiful lands of Scotland that captures the beauty and essence of the land and culture, builds a beautiful emotional forbidden love, and a story bound to keep you all over your emotions and leave you satisfied in the end!

The Starlight Rite is a sci fi erotic romance from Cherise Sincliar. This is also my first Sinclair and it was intriguing. I didn't know this was a erotic romance though or I might have picked something else but the set up of the story really pulled me into it pretty quickly. I really love the setups of the heroine being caught doing something and having to do some sort of indentured servitude. Now granted she was in a bad situation and on the run and I understood her motives...at first. Now I was under the impression that this one was just a regular sci fi romance and not a erotic romance. But the steam in this book isn't even the reason why it was such a low rating. I wanted to love this one but the way these two acted around each other in the third act was just ridiculous. So much drama and I just couldn't get behind the reasoning the heroine had to not telling the hero the truth. I get that she was afraid, but what does she have to lose? She felt so wish washy to me. and while I wish my first try of this author had gone better (but this doesn't mean I won't try her again) it does make me apprehensive to try her again. So while it had some cool factors to the story, there were just some aspects to the story that were just annoying and I wasn't a fan of....more

Tempted By Love is the latest in the Montana Heat series by Jennifer Ryan. I have really gotten a kick out of this series, which is slightly different from her previous series. What I have found so wonderful is the level of intrigue and suspense that are underlayed in these books. In Tempted by Love, we have a sweet friend to lover with a mix of dating your brother's best friend type of scenario.
In Tempted By Love it starts out with a wedding, such a romantic beginning. Its the wedding of her brother and his new bride, and she runs into Jay. Who is the best friend of both of her brothers. She has always looked at him as you would a friend...until now. Something shifts between Alina and Jay and they spend a passionate night together. But then they don't see each other for a little while. Alina sees something she was curious about, something that hinted danger but she didn't think too long about it. She goes back to work at the Pharmacy, a job she enjoys to its fullest. And then she and Jay reconnect but then right when she thinks their relationship is on track, her life is put in danger. She is run over the road, her boss is acting strange, her brother's are on their honeymoon, and Jay works for the DEA and there is something that he is working on that is very dangerous. Will Alina be able to handle Jay's tough work as a DEA or will she also have to face her own dangerous situation where she might not survive and get the happy ever after she dreams of with Jay?
"You know I love you. Don't you? Haven't I showed you in every kiss? " He brushed his lips tenderly against hers. "In every touch?" He softly brushed his fingers through her hair. "In everything I say and do for you? You're everything to me. More than I expected. More than I deserve. "
I will admit that I wouldn't say that this story is my favorite of the series. While I did enjoy it quite a bit, it was a bit lukeworm at times for me. I felt like the premise and the story line was fantastic, but the flow of the story tended to slow down at times which proved hard to keep up with it on ocassion. However I do want to point out that there were many good points to this story that I still enjoyed. Just not as much as I was hoping for from a Jennifer Ryan Novel.
This story runs on the same timeline as the previous book " True To You". I really liked seeing Jay and Alina together, We have a sweet scene in the beginning with the wedding and seeing Jay and Aline connect. But then the story picks up speed once the suspense portion of the story gets put in. I found myself really intrigued with the mystery surrounding Alina's boss. From the beginning we know that he is no good, since we have a small POV from his which was interesting. I found his character one of those nice/bad guy characters. Where on the surface he sees so down to earth and nice and affectionate but beneath it all he is really selfish and only concerned with himself.
Alina is such a wonderful heroine. She is more of a beta heroine. She is kind and compassionate, she works as a Pharmacist, helping people whenever she can but also is a fighter. She has this inner strength you just want to cheer on. I love seeing what she is capable of, and she definitely is the sister of Beck and Caden.
The plot can get pretty intense....edge of your seat....get your heart pacing fast type of story and I just love these. Its not what your normally find with this author, and I like seeing these scenarios with these DEA agents. What is most profound is seeing what DEA agents suffer along with their families. We see how much courage and strength both Jay and Alina have to make this relationship work and its definitely not an easy one. So seeing them find some common ground and make a good balance of everything just worked in all the right ways.
I can promise her to do my best to come home to her, to love her with everything I am, to be the best I can be for her.
Overall I found Tempted By Love to be a ride of thrills and chills, a story of instant love that burns straight to the readers heart....a captivating love story that will leave you with tears and a joyful heart!! MESMERIZING

This was the conclusion to Drex and Eve's story and I really loved it more than the first book. I had such a solid enjoyment and most of it was because of the plot aspects to this story. Now there is a LOT of inner relationship angst and drama between these two. I just wanted to shake some sense into them, these two get so so stubborn about their relationship and it could be frustrating at times. But I do think there is more heart and emotional depth in this one than what we saw in the first book. I really liked seeing how things ended up for these two, they had a solid ending and HEA that definitely is heart melting. ...more

It was perfect ....no....but it was addictive and felt close to Joanna Wylde in the setup of the story. I really liked this type of theme in romance (have no clue what that says about me....probably all those johanna lindsey I read as a teen lol) I was intrigued about this one because I love a softer FMC and mixed with a badass tough alpha male was just what I was looking for and I was so consumed by this story. This is definitely for readers that need a palette cleanser and just something that will easily sweep you away and this author definitely does that here. There is also plenty of hot smexy times, and super gritty MC culture and I actually didn't mind that. I have really missed some dark gritty MC, many coming out recently are so tame in comparison. I really was curious to see where the author would take this one but what a CLIFFHANGER! Yes it has one, but the second one is all ready to go.
The romance was addictive and I became so hooked on their story and what was happening with the plot. The author definitely keeps you questioning until the end. Definitely a keeper here. ...more

God Of Vengeance I was a bit nervous to read on and while I really liked it, I was expecting more for Damiano's series who has been my favorite character of the series. I think so far for the series, Dario's book was by far my favorite. I really adored the way that this book started though. I loved how the hero was willing to take control of a toxic situation and protect the heroine. The hero is a bit of a darker mafia hero, probably one of the darker heroes that I have read from this author and I found that she really made him a fabulous anti/morally grey hero you actually want to get behind. Then we have the heroine, and I nervous for her character for a reason and I can see why I was nervous. I didn't like her in the beginning. She really makes some "too stupid to live" type of decisions, its honestly a miracle she survives because of how stupid she acts at times. I get that she has been abused, but she kinda brings it on herself at times with her attitude. Not that anyone deserves to be abused, but she literally encouraged the abuse at times, like she was so miserable, she wanted to bring on a violent reaction in those around her. She just seemed so irresponsible at times. And while I eventually learned to like her character in the end, it took some time for her to become redeemed for me. I did find the actual romance to be truly beautifully written. From the moment Damiano decided to marry her, their relationship just clicked for me and they really grow together in what truly matters. I loved how strong they end up in the end. There was so many endearing moments between them. I loved how Damiano assisted Gabriella through her PTSD, their hug moments were my favorites and I adored how much they are willing to sacrifice for each other but I was super sad about the ending in some ways. It was a bit bittersweet. While I don't think its the strongest book of the series, it definitely had me feeling deeply in their alone moments.
My Favorite Scene: “I got my first hug two weeks ago. From Mrs. Accardi. It was really nice.” First hug? My blood turns to ice in my veins. “Your parents never showed you any form of affection?” “No.” She faces the target and lifts her arms to fire a shot. “Put down the gun,” I order. Letting out a sigh, she places the weapon on a counter near the wall, then she mutters, “I really don’t want to talk about my parents.” “Come here.” Her eyes lift to my face, and she moves closer to me. Lifting my hand, I wrap my fingers around the back of her neck before pulling her against my chest. I lean down and lock my other arm around her, holding her tight to me. I feel a tremor shudder through her body, and lifting her from the floor, I mutter, “Wrap your legs around me.” Gabriella does as I say, her arms circling my neck. I walk to a seating area, and as I sit down, I order, “Straddle me.” Once again, she does as I say, and when I’m comfortable, I hold her even tighter while pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “You’re just going to hug me?” she whispers, her tone tight with emotion. “Yes.” I begin to brush my hand up and down her back, then say, “Relax, principessa. Lean into me.”...more

I really had a fun time with this one. I don't think K.Webster can write a bad book haha this one was quite different from anything I have read from her until now. And I liked that it was short sexy and sweet. It had a very balanced dynamic and literally had me going from laughing to crying all in one page. It had a cool setup. I just love auction themes, not sure why, but they draw me in like candy. I loved the second chance, the emotional trauma and pain that they need to work through and the smexy moments that just fit this pair's dynamic. I really love that Webster writes such a variety and you never know what you can expect until you read it. And I can't wait to read more of these short ones. ...more

Stormwolfe I did have high hopes for and I was actually surprised how much I didn't like this one. To be honest I just couldn't be invested in this couple much. I practically skimmed through the second half. Now I have struggled with some books lately, and I think for a while I will be doing audiobooks for this author until I am back on track. I will say that I found the premise interesting and I really felt so bad for what the author has to deal with. I wasn't a massive fan of the heroine though at times, she just felt slightly too modernistic at times. There have been hints of this with this author's writing but it didn't really bother me until this book, it felt a bit too noticeable and not as subtle as what she usually writes. I also felt like there were some plot holes here and there which isn't common for Le Veque. I also didn't like how the parents of Thomas treated him with all the trauma and how they pushed him into a very toxic abusive situation and didn't fight harder to get him free of it when they practically forced him into it in the first place. So there was just some factors to the story that just had me losing invested interest in the story. Hopefully the next book will work way better for me....more

This I saw as the adapted film by Pasionflix and I was really impressed with it here. There is a great deal of deep emotion that is portrayed, we see some powerful chemistry and is one of the better adaptations that Passionflix has done to date. It was the least cheese that I have seen from them and very authentic in the emotion. It had a high quality to how the story was portrayed. I think fans of the story will be very impressed with how well it was adapted. I can see why this one is such a fan favorite for romance readers. And if you love contemporary romance, small towns with light elements of suspense, then I can recommend this one to you. ...more

I really had a good time with Seducing Lauren. It wasn't as good as the first book, the pacing in the book was on and off. The first half started off really really strong and I didn't want to put it down. But in the second half, it was much more challenging to stay into the story and be truly invested. I did love the idea of a lawyer hero with a romance author for a heroine who is also at risk of being in danger from her ex. I found the dynamic between them interesting, loved their soft filled relationship. I do find Proby's writing style in how the pair doesn't fight too long what they feel, but seem to embrace their connection. I did find the plot aspect of the ex and how its portrayed throughout the story. I loved the endearing connection that they had together. Really beautifully done despite the issues on the pacing of the story growth. ...more

Waiting On A Cowboy is the first book to the new series by this author but is loosely connected with the previous series she wrote "Wild Rose Ranch" and we get the story with Tate McGrath. And I have to say that even though this book wasn't quite as emotionally intense as I normally receive from this author, it was a wonderful addition to her work. It was quite a fun and relaxing read and I had such a fun time especially with the playful tension between our characters and a bit of suspense.
Tate McGrath and Liz Scott have been best friends since they were in the sandbox. Liz always knew even at 5 years old that she would marry Tate McGrath. But Tate always put Liz on the "friend" pedestal. And Liz has been in love with Tate since she was a little girl. But she is tired of waiting for him to wake up and see her for the woman that she is instead of the "friend" he tends to always sees in her. But when Liz starts dating another man, Tate wakes up with powerful jealousy and begins realizing he could lose Liz and starts fighting for her. So may the best man win!
I want you to know I really love you. The kind of love that includes rings and vows and a home we share and waking up with you by my side
Waiting On A Cowboy is such a fun book and was quite the relaxing vibe that I really was in the right mood for at the time of reading it. I do love a good friends to lovers trope and Jennifer Ryan walked this out of the PARK....this book was pure romance and intimacy and I adored every single moment. Tate and Liz are so darling together and they make such a great team. Everyone that knows them know that they are meant to be. But Tate....*sigh* ignorant blind Tate lol Seeing him get his wake up call was quite fun. But he does make it up to Liz and love seeing him work his way back to redeeming himself especially when he realizes what an idiot he has been.
What I really loved seeing was the difference in the relationships that Liz has with the two men. And seeing the signs of abuse over love and respect. Tate really knows Liz but he respects her boundaries and even though he is an idiot at times, he never treats her less than she deserves. And I really adored seeing the difference in comparison to the "third party" and seeing the signs of manipulation and abuse and the power of saying "no" to it. I really adored seeing the maturity in this book and the amount of healthy relationship building that is shown here.
Overall I found Waiting On A Cowboy to be an enticing, beautifully portrayed story of friendship, love and fighting for what you believe in!!

I found this one so intriguing and it was more of a random pick up read for me. I was just browsing KU and found this delightful read. I was intrigued by the setup so I knew that I wanted try it out. I will say that this book was pretty likeable and if you have read this author before, then you will know her writing style. This author has a writing style that is pretty easy to get into (Similar to Anna Zaires, Meghan March), but this book starts out so SLOW. It takes a while almost 25% before our couple even meets each other. Once they do meet each other, it was a fun wild ride. I really had a blast. It has some great alpha vibes and I liked the whole stripper/actor pairing. It really worked really well. I did find the pacing of the story a bit off, but the audio narration was pretty decent as well. The ending of the story was my favorite part of the story. It literally left me in swoony tears, so heartfelt. One of my favorite proposals ever done.
Overall it was a endearing read that was a great distraction from reality. ...more
