Well written, properly researched, this book is a collection of stories and information on the extinct Megalodon shark. There are also chapters on today's sharks, the possibilities of "big Meg" still existing today, and on personal stories from the authors. Definitely recommended for fossil lovers, ocean enjoyers, shark people, biologists, scientists.. anyone, really. I read an advanced reader's copy, I hope the final version will have some photos as well, that would really make the book perfect.
Thank you so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC to read & review. These are my honest opinions....more
A good insight on the psychology of terrorism. Quite scholarly, but if you're used to reading academic texts, it's easy to read. Well researched with A good insight on the psychology of terrorism. Quite scholarly, but if you're used to reading academic texts, it's easy to read. Well researched with many examples. It's ofcourse a rough read, especially with the examples in the beginning I had to put it away a few times. Interesting!

I now understand why this is such a classic in Norway. It is surprisingly modern written for the time, and gripped me from start to end. One of my favourite sea-adventure books. Be noted: there is some violence described in the book, towards sea animals. It didn't bother me so much, but if you have some trouble with that, I'd skip this book....more

Also touches upon the business of vitamins sold in stores in general. I wish it was a little longer and contained more about the place of health supplements in today's society. The book did explain a little of that, but it could be more elaborated....more

Especially, the lack of communication and protection for the nearby living people and nature are described. I found the book gripping and finished it pretty quickly for such a "dry" topic. The photos are a nice touch and some really surprised me (don't worry, no "nasty" visuals). The book contains loads of information on health effects after the testing. Though one reviewer also mentioned, the book could contain a chapter on why the AEC was pressured this way.
