BastWelcome back to the Unnamed Sea! I'm SO excited to take readers deeper into this treacherous world with a new stand alone novel, THE LAST LEGACY.
Bastian is the largest, most influential city in the Unnamed Sea, but with the Narrows rising in influence, there's a shift happening. Where FABLE explored the trading crew aspect of the Narrows and NAMESAKE explored more of the merchant and guild realm, THE LAST LEGACY takes readers into the notorious home of the Roths, a crime family that has made its mark on both the Narrows and the Unnamed Sea with its fake gem trade.
As soon as these characters came onto the page in NAMESAKE, I knew I had to follow them into another book. Bryn and Ezra's story is one of breaking tradition, defying expectation, and making your own fate. It's also about identity and taking back your power. I really, really hope you love it!

The format is so engaging, the writing is so smart, and the characters are like none other I've ever read. Dark, heartbreaking, mysterious and heart pounding. The writing is so well seasoned, with beautiful descriptions and awesome character development. I also just kind of want the "bow to no king" tagline on, like, everything. Coffee mug, doormat, tank top, GIVE IT TO ME NOW. Highly recommend this book to lovers of YA fantasy. ...more

Two hundred years ago, the people of Sparrow tied stones around the feet of three sisters and sank them in the harbor for suspected witchcraft. Every June, they return from the dark waters and take their revenge. I was absolutely in love with this atmospheric setting and a foggy YA mystery is exactly what I needed. Add in the secrets and twists and lore and I was hooked from page one. This is a great, satisfying read that will have you packing your bags for a trip to the haunted town of Sparrow....more

I really like contemporary but it's not my favorite genre so I was shocked how much I absolutely loved YOU'LL MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE. This book sinks its hooks into your heart and pulls you through the story. Rachel has written two unapologetically broken girls (twin sisters) who are wading through normal teenage milestones (first love, friendship, the future) but they are doing it while carrying a crushing burden - the grief of slowly losing their mother and a diagnosis that one of them will also die of the same disease. The book reads almost like diary entries because it's so emotionally exposing but it doesn't sacrifice storytelling in order to do so. She doesn't shy away from the things that make the characters so real and at times you are cringing at their admissions and the rawness of their thoughts. I was crying to hard I couldn't read through my tears at times, while others, I was laughing out loud. The book comes out 1.2.18 and I guarantee it's preorder worthy....more
