The story had me captured right from the beginning. About a woman who lost her first love and thought she would never find love again, and a preacher who is looking for a school teacher but ends up finding a wife.
I loved the characters, especially the children. The children had me wrapped around their fingers and in love with them! I think when an author has me fall in love with the children of a story, it's bound to be a great read.

I truly enjoyed theseToni Shiloh has done it again! She never disappoints with bringing swoon worthy moments and faith filled lives in her characters.
I truly enjoyed these two love birds. A wonderful friends to lovers romance, sweet and fulfilling. I loved the family drama, if you know me you know I don't enjoy family drama but Toni Shiloh is an author that does it completely 100% right.
The romance, the horses, the setting all made for a great story that I couldn't get enough of. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

This book deserves all the stars and more. At least 6 if not 10⭐. The whole series is 10 stars and probably my favorite of all time. The author does such a fantastic job at conveying the emotions of her characters and making such unique settings for each of these time travel timelines.
I couldn't put it down, I actually finished it within 24hrs. Very rarely do I enjoy a book to this extent.

It rehashed a lot of what happened in the first book, but just from the perspective of Hannah instead of Eleanor. I really liked the story, seeing the characters in the family and how each reacted to the fame of their mother and family name. How some didn't want the limelight at all and others were forced into that life but accepted it. I really appreciated the real feelings of family and the struggle that each character went through to see their true worth.
Unfortunately I didn't connect with the characters as well as I thought I would, but I did love the message and the story.

The book is definetely heavy on the romance, but also touches on tough topics like natural disasters and domestic abuse.
I really liked the character of Keane Temple. He struggled with human temptations but always prayed for the Lord to help guide him. I really admired his strength and kindness. I also liked Ami, and how she was genuinely curious to know about Keane's faith and drove him to success. I loved the martial arts aspect, it was very unique and not seen in much fiction. The faith content was done pretty well too.
Overall it was a well written book, the last half of the book I couldn't put down and binge read to the last page. As I said a little heavy on the romance side of things but enjoyed the story and characters.

If you like witty banter, Jane Austen era romances and political intrigue and action then you have to read To Catch a Coronet.
I immediately fell in love with the characters. The hero of the story? Probably one of my new favorite heroes. This book had everything I love in a fantastic historical romance book. I was smiling so much while reading it, and I even hugged the book (which doesn't happen very often.) I also stayed up until almost 2am binge reading the rest of the book. Grace Hitchcock, if all of your books are this enjoyable then you have a new fan for life!

I couldn't put this book down! The author did an amazing job with the USO story telling and the era and setting. I loved how each character was completely different, yet they found a common ground and bond through entertainment.
Both Catherine and Maggie had my heart from the beginning. I wanted to see where the stories were going and how the would end. I loved the small touches of romance, but wasn't the main part of the story. All of the cast and crew had me turning every page, wondering what would happen next to the troupe.
If your tired of ww2 fiction, try one more and pick up this book. You won't be sorry.

I have been really in the mood for a Scottish love story. I can't remember how I found out about this one, but I really enjoyed it. I fell in love with Keir and his family and was cheering Eleanor from the sidelines. Loved the friendship, the intrigue and romance.
*This is a pretty clean Scottish romance. There is a little bit of bawdy banter between the boys and the main love interest looks under the woman's shirt because he thought she was a boy (but then turns away quickly.)...more

It is the perfect vacation read. I laughed so much at the love matching antics of the retired ladies, that I couldn't get enough of them! I'm really really hoping that the author is going to do more stories with them. You bet I'll be writing her and asking her.
There was nothing I didn't like about the book. I loved the characters, the setting, the humor and the day to day walk of faith.
