This book is freaking hilarious! Wait.... not the part where Mark gets stranded on Mars, but his humor! He had me in stitches!

I could not even imagine what it would be like being stranded on another planet. Well, first, I'm not smart enough to be an astronaut and second, I would not want to go to space....unless it was with Spock, but I digress.

I loved reading about all of the things he did to keep himself alive. Well, I was put off with the poo compost. I had a few gack moments. LOL! Mark's telling of these details were funny and to the point.

I didn't want to read this book for a long time because I didn't think I would understand what he would be talking about with all of the scientific stuff. I was pleasantly surprised that the author wrote this in a way that even I could understand. There was no drooling or dazed looks on my face. I could actually understand what he was trying to do, well for the most part.

I really hope this movie is going to be good. The previews look good, I'm just hoping that Matt Damon can capture the humor that Mark puts out there. If I could quote each funny thing he said in the book, they probably wouldn't let it post as it would be too long! That is what made it for me in this book. Mark didn't let anything get him down, mmmmm...a couple of ranting moments, but he deserved to have those. His snark was great and he's one of those people you could see being friends with, minus the smart brain :)

This was an awesome sci-fi book and I'm so glad I finally read it. I would recommend to all sci-fi fans or anyone that just wants a good novel with a great storyline and a whole lot of funny!

TL glad you loved it, lovely review

TL :)

Andrew✌️ Nice review! I think that Mark is a very funny and brave character and I found very interesting all the scientific explanations. There are some hilarious moments and some change of tones very well chosen.

Twila Great review! And I'm also nervous about the movie and if Matt Damon can play Mark.
But the previews look really good, so I'm excited :D

Mark is awesome! I loved it. There was just so much to love about it. I can see why they jumped on the movie making band wagon :-)

Thank you :-). I know. I worry that he might not get it right but he's a good actor so we shall see. He seems great for Mark's normal parts but I'm not sure about the snark. The previews look awesome!! :-)

Aj the Ravenous Reader Glad you enjoyed this so much. I resolve to read this before the movie gets released. Awesome review.^^

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin Thank you AJ :-). I can't believe how good it was, I thought it was going to be too much science that would make me drool trying to figure out what was going on. Lol. But thank goodness that wasn't the case.

Carmen Great review.

Paula W After a squintillion years, I have finally published a review of this book. I agree with everything you said.

Lorie Great review. I just finished reading the book. I had already watched the movie before reading (I was backwards this time), but I had fun finding all the differences between the book and movie. I loved the move too but the book was better...as always.

Thank you!! Sometimes I watch movies first too. And sometimes I actually prefer movies as I want to see the characters brought to life 😏💕
