really liked it
bookshelves: 500-page-plus, epic-fantasy, faith, favourites, mythology, romance, tear-jerker

This was everything! 😍😍
I will not claim to have understood everything but I loved it nonetheless! 🥰

The end to this trilogy was everything I could have asked for. The extensive world building is expanded even further, the characters are pushed to the absolute limit.

The conclusion was just perfect. I feel like I can’t go into it without spoilers but everything that unfurled I was pleased with.

I’m not going to yammer on because I’m just all gush and no substance. Just. If you enjoy epic fantasy then pick up this series!!!!

Library copy available for pick up.
I will finally get the answers I need!!

😁

I don’t usually care about the romances in books but I really hope Nahri and Ali are endgame and not Dara.

I hate the trope where a girl falls in love with a man/being that is like thousands of years older than them.

And I just love the friends to lovers trope!

Roll on June!!!!

Deborah Obida I care a lot about romances in books, if there's romance I want it well portrayed and I'm with you team Ali and Nahri.

Charlotte May @Deborah: Yay team Ali and Nahri 😁

Sophie I don't necessarily ship anyone in this book (I LOVE Ali in general tho) but would much prefer her with Ali over Dara! But I am such a sucker for the friends to lovers trope too, definitely prefer it to enemies to lovers.

Charlotte May @Sophie: Heck yeah friends to lovers 😁 Also yes Ali’s character is my fave 💜

Charlotte May @Awry: Ive never actually read any Sarah J Maas 😊

Mena I'm Team Ali and Nahri :) All those hand touches in book 2 better not be for nothing.

Charlotte May @Mena: Haha 😂 absolutely!!

jeannn ''I hate the trope where a girl falls in love with a man/being that is like thousands of years older than them.'' THIS

Charlotte May @smque: Isn’t it just the worst?!

Sunny I personally think that Nahri and Ali friendship is the purest thing. Not sure if I want it to turn into a romance. But if she were to end up with one of the guys, I'd rather it be Ali.

Charlotte May @Sunny: That is also true! I love platonic boy/girl friendships too 😊

message 12: by Joe (new)

Joe Krakovsky It sounds like the thousand year old guy wants a trophy wife.

Laure Z Forget Ali and Dara; Sobek is bae

Emily Montgomery Thank you! This is how I felt too! I can understand the passion between Dara and Nahri but Ali and Dara had a much more healthy foundation for a relationship.

Safa I’m sooooo happy you loved this series. It’s one of my favorites. Can’t wait for your review!
