I'm fairly sure I was not going to read a series about football players anyhow, but did I miss something about this book? As a rule, I agree with your reviews.

The author went off on a reviewer the other day, posting at least 5 comments on a 3-star review that satirized the way the book used stereotypes.
She's since deleted her comments--including the first one, which said that authors should not be bullied in that way--but you can read the very long comment thread here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Uh oh, seriously? I love Simone Elkeles. But I just read what happened there. I hate it when that happens. It's like reviewers are not fully entitled to write whatever they wanted. *sigh*
Hi Wendy! I was just wondering, why did you mark this book as "will-never-read"?
Was this author involved in something that I don't know of?

Oh sorry! When I commented there didn't seem to be any comments on the GR page of the book!
Thank you though! :)

It's actually not funny. My "will never read" shelf is mostly filled with books by authors who have gone out of their way to attack reviewers. I'd suggest reading comments if you're curious.
