really liked it
bookshelves: crime, graphic-novels, hoopla, magic-stuff, read-in-2022, horror

I'm addicted.
You wouldn't necessarily think a dysfunctional family of graverobbers, who has cornered the market on a drug that allows you to live moments of another person's life, would be particularly sympathetic.
But they are!

description

There's a lot that happens in volume 2, including the other crime families attempting a knock-off of Ash with horrifying results, and the oldest son quite literally not realizing who he was getting in bed with. However, I'm most interested in the progression (possession?) of the mother of the family. Just when we think she's used the last of the Ash to allow her husband to be present at their son's funeral, a somewhat unexpected side effect develops.

description

Probably not doing the best job expressing myself, but I'm flying through these fast and I really wanted to just jot a few thoughts down before I grabbed the next volume.
Unexpectedly great comic and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes a little supernatural mixed into their crime stories.

Nancy I loved this series! I was disappointed it was only three volumes- I wanted more.

Anne I LITERALLY just finished the last volume and I'm SO disappointed. What the hell, Bunn?! This could have been a series that kept on going, man!

Saffron Moon Looks like fun! I’ve been itching to read a good horror comic and this looks like it just might fit the bill!

Anne It’s a very cool concept, more magicky than horror, but very good.

Heather-Lin I called it addictive too - great minds think alike!

Anne I’m so sorry for the next volume.

Heather-Lin Yeah... That was an epic bummer.
