➳ i did not expect to enjoy that as much as i did! i think it just goes to show that the books you least expect can always surprise you. so get that book off the TBR and read it! who knows, you may love it 🤭

my thoughts
let me first start off by saying: this may not be for everyone, BUT i think everyone should give it a try!! this book is a fantasy with a rom-com vibe, buti feel like we dont get that enough when it comes to fantasy & this book was very humorous + i respected/liked the banter! it had fun side characters AND short chapter + dual pov. and omg that ending 🤧 the way i need the 2nd book right NOW!!
➳ overall i have no compalints excep-t i think i found a few writing errors but its also a debut so! but anyway, i liked that it was unique and this book always had me in a good mood <3 very much worth the read and even tho its a 'booktok' book i feel like i dont hear enough about it 😭

evie + the villian
stop i think i liked them way too much 😭 not a bad thing tho! and honestly, this is how i always pictured grumpy-sunshine and i loved their dynamic!! though evie could be quirky, i still liked her and, oh, she could be brave. always walking into work with slaughtered heads in the entryway, i could never! 🤧 but i also feel so bad for her, ifykyk 🫂 but shes a nice heroine! and for 'the villian' i really liked him as our fmc, it was just so funny seeing evie slowly cracking his facade, agh i think there is so much more to his backstory that we have yet to discover! (view spoiler)[WHEN HE BEGGED infront of the guards for her, it was actually very bittersweet and you can just TELL he loves her, like look at him 😭 i cant believe he was helpless, anyways we love him <3 (hide spoiler)] but yes i cant WAIT to see him again and he is very underrated too. when theyre a villian>> 🤭

side characters
let me give some attention to our lovely side characters, they rlly added to the book and i can already tell this will be found family! and kingsley! even tho he didn't have that much input i liked how the author incorporated him into the story its very cool <3 cant wait to see everyone else again eee!
