Where as the first book in the series was arguably more romance than fantasy, this second book was a fantastic fantasy with some romance scenes thrown in. I read this one possibly more slowly than the first but that was in part due to work and life craziness. I finished it while I was on a plane and was immediately sad that I didn't have book 3 lined up to read.
