really liked it
bookshelves: review-pending

i am an outlier here - i really liked this one, folks. the biggest complaint seems to be that this isn't romantasy and that there aren't enough smooches, and that's probably why i liked it more than others. i'm here for the outer space jousting and chronic pain. no time for smooching when we're out here AVENGING, after all.

Remy I thought this was going to be a romantasy so I didn’t give it a second thought. But now I’m going to knowing that it’s not.

karen it certainly sets up future romantic possibilities, but it's more about hating people than loving them.

Hera Barton NOT a romantasy? sign me the hell up.

karen she's too ANGRY for romance

Zoë If this is the only reason it's getting a bad rap, I might have to try it after all

Daph (Loving Books) Adding this to my tbr thanks to you! The reviews all have like 3 complaints and two of which are complaints that it is not romantasy

i thought it was really fun, but i like NEVER read stuff like this - mechfighting and outer-spacery stuff, so for me, it was peeking behind a door and seeing something ALL NEW. but rage and revenge are my bread and butter.

which is why i love reviews (and used to even write them) - because one person's "boo hoo why no boning?" is another's "more time for plotting!"

Madeleine Johansen sick of the romantasy trend tbh this was amazing

Sima Nechápala I'm so glad this isn't romantasy, getting sick of that genre
