This was a 5 star feeling book.
Is the storyline a little interesting (dating the guy who is responsible for her sisters death)? Yes.
Did I like Helen? Not really. She annoyed the living shit out of me sometimes with her stubbornness and overall lack of common sense sometimes.
Was it a tad insta-love? Yeah
But I utterly loved this book despite all of that. The romance was spicyyyy and tension filled and Grant Shepard will go down as one of my favourite mmc’s of ALL TIME. That is a man written by a woman. The way he never gave up truly cracked my heart by the end of this book.
Tears were also shed at the end of this book (I almost never cry over books) and it hurt my soul a bit.
I also really enjoyed the book to screen portion of this book. It’s always been such a fascinating thing to me as a reader, so getting some BTS was epic - especially since Yulin Huang is a writer and director herself.

If you like this book, you should check out her YouTube channel it’s full of her short films from over the years. And let me tell you they are amazing and swoon worthy.
