Amy Burns was born in Birmingham, Alabama and now lives in Texas. She studied English and Philosophy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, and has served as Editor of Unbound Press, Spilling Ink Review, Mulberry Fork Review, and The Dillydoun Review (currently). Amy’s fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and interviews have appeared in journals and anthologies both in print and online. Her first novel, Leaving is My Colour, was published by Freight Books on 16 February 2017.
