Michael’s Recent Updates
"A great blend of genres; science fiction and mystery. Well written and with great characters. The ending was pretty special."

"The book starts by going 0 to 120 in 3.2 seconds. The ride is fast, scary, weird, and deliciously unpredictable. You go all the way through enjoying every bite, and then when you finally race through to the end, you want to do it again - longer.

"Going in I was hesitant because I really don't get into "noir" books. The old timey detective, the dame, the crime; usually isn't my thing. This book, however, grabbed me and didn't let go. The sci-fi aspect perfectly balanced the noir. The character"

"I realized I never added my $.02 in a review so here it goes.
Let me start out by saying I was allowed to be a part of this project. Michael had sent me the original electronic manuscript and I was hooked. Through months of reading and re-reading the " Read more of this review » |

“I hadn’t been there. I couldn’t judge. But it seemed to me that the only thing more disgusting than the speed at which we’d handed over our freedom for the promise of security was the speed in which others had stepped in to take that control.”

“Elmore Leonard's Ten Rules of Writing
1. Never open a book with weather.
2. Avoid prologues.
3. Never use a verb other than "said" to carry dialogue.
4. Never use an adverb to modify the verb "said”…he admonished gravely.
5. Keep your exclamation points under control. You are allowed no more than two or three per 100,000 words of prose.
6. Never use the words "suddenly" or "all hell broke loose."
7. Use regional dialect, patois, sparingly.
8. Avoid detailed descriptions of characters.
9. Don't go into great detail describing places and things.
10. Try to leave out the part that readers tend to skip.
My most important rule is one that sums up the 10.
If it sounds like writing, I rewrite it.”

Sorry, I forgot... Never shave your beard and moustache! You must be very proud wearing them, that's the appearance of the Mountaineers, the only people who could become and train wizards in antiquity...:)
Hi, my new friend! thanks for accepting my friend request and for addition to my review! It seems we could exchange a lot of recommendations, tips, opinions in the future! Best wishes, Have a Happy New 2012 Year! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (a greeting of the water dragons' hunters - my Tale Of The Rock Pieces).
