Steph Hey congratulations on being the readingest reader in the world! Do you ever explain anywhere how you can read so much?! I'm always amazed by your well-though out reviews and the huge amount of books you read! Thanks for being a beacon for the rest of us readers.

Michael Finocchiaro Thanks Steph! I just enjoy reading before sleeping, on airplanes ans busses and trains. And thanks for the compliment on the reviews. I do try to think hard about books especially the ones that move me.
Good luck to you as well in 2018!

message 10: by Aoife (new)

Aoife Bambrick What I was trying to say was: do you watch television at all, or just reading?

message 11: by Zarin (new)

Zarin Haider Hello Michael! I have been following your reviews and I like them very much. I am from Bangladesh, a young adult who got acquainted with goodreads about a year ago. Looking forward to reading more reviews! Happy new year and happy reading!

message 12: by Colleen (new)

message 13: by Carole (new)

Carole wow it's only Jan 7, 2018 how did you already read 8 books? Do you work or have other hobbies? I'm on book 2 half way and I read a lot when I'm not playing violin.

Michael Finocchiaro Hi everyone, um, no I don’t watch a lot of TV. You may notice that several of the books I finished were graphical novels. I do read rather quickly though. As for work, lets just say that I am between opportunities and working on my second novel while waiting for the republishing of my first one soon. Reading all over the spectrum does help me write and that is one of my drivers.

Michael J. Ever think about selling your book reviews as a freelancer to earn a little spending money while you wait for the publishing deals to finalize? Your reviews are very well done. I'm sure some publications would be interested in them.

message 17: by Michael (new)

Michael Finocchiaro Thanks!! I am not sure who I would address for that kind of thing. I am of course open to ideas. I had a sort of background idea to make an anthology of book reviews if I established a serious enough rep as a writer.

message 20: by Michael (new)

Michael Finocchiaro Still barreling through my lists. I tried to keep some themes but keep getting distracted and side-tracked!

message 21: by Michael (new)

Michael Finocchiaro Finally finished the entire Dune series. Will finish the Wolf Brother series with my son tonight I hope. And then, must finish Harry Potter! But not forgetting my biographies, jazz histories, political writing, and assundries...

message 22: by Michael (new)

Michael Finocchiaro Finished Harry Potter and will soon finish Becky Chambers as well. Any suggestions of other fiction series (aside from pure trash like Clancy please!) I should read and review?
