The Adidas Samba ‘Wonder White is built to last longer

Over the past 12 months or so, the sneakerverse has been blessed with hundreds and hundreds of sick Sambas – but none of them are quite like the Adidas Samba ‘Wonder White’, though. From a distance, this looks like just another classic all-white colourway. But, as soon as you take a closer look, you'll quickly realise that there's actually a lot more to it (and it's no less clean or crisp than any other minimal sneak).

The Samba has been around since the late ‘40s, and since then, most pairs have been made out of leather. But for this upcoming iteration, the materials have been turbocharged to make it feel more luxe. Painted from heel to toe in ‘Wonder White,’ this upgraded leather has been specifically designed so that it doesn't crease as easily. You'll also find a bunch of perforations across the front so that everything's a little more breathable and breezy – perfect for when those hot, sweaty summer months roll by.

These perforations continue throughout the inner lining of the trainer, and a dash of ‘Magic Beige’ suede features along the lateral and medial sidewalls for a subtle pop of contrast. Silver “Samba” branding can be found here too, just in case you needed a li'l reminder. All of this then rests on top of a fully gum rubber midsole, throwing it back to the Adidas silhouette's football roots.

If you thought 2023 was huge for the Samba, wait until you hear what's in-store for 2024. From JJJJound and Mita, all the way to Studio Hagel, some of the biggest names in design and streetwear are all coming together to take on the retro model. So, if you're a Samba stan (Stanba? Samtan?), you should probably start saving.

The Adidas Samba ‘Wonder White’ is set to drop sometime this spring at Adidas and select stockists around the globe. A retail price has yet to be officially confirmed, but expect to pay a little more than usual.
