Channing Tatum has the blueprint suit for super jacked guys

When you're as wham as this, you'll want tailoring that'll quietly show it off

Channing Tatum has put in the hard work. But harder than the gains, and the macros and the Bulgarian split squats? Finding a suit that suits the gains. Because when you're impossibly jacked, tailoring can often squeeze in all the wrong places: the result is usually along the lines of a post-fury Incredible Hulk, and not in a good way. But at the Fly Me to the Moon premiere in New York City, the American actor pulled up in what might possibly be the perfect double-breasted suit for mega stacked dudes.

Now, as a rule of thumb, big, buff guys should probably go for single-breasted tailoring rather than double-breasted. That's because the latter can make you look wider and shorter than you actually are. But yesterday, the Magic Mike star rocked up to the red carpet in a double-breasted two-piece that, somehow, defied the usual menswear laws of physics.

With a silky black dress shirt, Tatum threw a dark navy suit on top, complete with structured power shoulders and fanged out lapels. It's a classic fit that's been worn by Hollywood's leading men since... well, forever. But even though it's got a double-breasted design, the buttons are actually placed right in the middle so your focus is drawn down and not across – ideal for guys that want to elongate the muscle.

But there's more to it, as his suit is covered in white pinstripes, further giving the illusion of a taller, slender fit. He then jumped into trousers (matching, because this is a red carpet), and some black leather shoes that have a slight heel around the back (just in case 6' 1" wasn't tall enough already).

Yes, finding a suit when you're seriously shredded is tough. But that shouldn't stop you from doing it – and if you want a blueprint, then pin Channing Tatum to the middle of your moodboard ASAP.
