Bridgerton

It’s Bridgerton season, which means we get to escape into our guilty pleasure world of royal courts, glittering ballrooms, steamy affairs and, of course, Lady Whistledown this weekend. With the latest iteration turning the spotlight on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newtown) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), there’s sure to be plenty of high-stakes drama—courtesy of the meddling, matchmaking mamas steering the marriage mart, jealous suitors vying for the season’s “diamond” and Peneople’s big, earth-shattering secret (IYKYK). The three seasons, set in the Regency era, will take you on a ride back in time (the fun kind), but the one modern element it retains is its preppy, tailored-for-every-mood playlist. Bridgerton thrives in creating symphonic pop reimaginings of chart-busting contemporary songs, from a Vitamin String Quartet cover of Maroon 5’s Girls Like You to a Midnite String Quartet version of Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball. In season three, the list has only gotten more exciting. Here are the artists whose covers you can expect in the latest iteration of the show, part of which dropped on Netflix today.

Bridgerton season 3 will feature covers of this popular K-pop band and a host of other amazing artists. Know who they are

1. BTS

The BTS x Bridgerton crossover is the stuff of dreams for pop culture nuts. The new season will feature the popular K-pop band’s Dynamite, the first song they completely recorded in English, which has over 1.8 billion views on YouTube and Spotify. This upbeat disco-pop track has elements of funk, soul, and bubblegum pop.

2. Taylor Swift and Lana Del Ray

Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey’s haunting collaboration on Snow On The Beach has also made it to the Bridgerton season three setlist. The dream pop number, featured in Swift’s 2022 award-winning album Midnights, is a love song about two people falling in love with each other simultaneously. Maybe this will serve as the backscore for Polin’s (Colin and Penelope) transition from friends to lovers.

3. Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish’s Happier Than Ever is less preppy and more emotional; maybe even angry. It’s a pop-punk song with elements of jazz that unleashes the protagonist’s rage at her toxic ex-boyfriend. We wonder which scene this will play in. Yikes!

4. Sia

A certified chart-buster, Cheap Thrills by Sia has a permanent fix in party playlists, and it has now made its way into the glittering Regency-era ballroom as well.

5. Nick Jonas

No points for guessing when Jealous by Nick Jonas will play in the episodes. We hear Colin is going to have some stiff competition this season!

6. Gayle

The lead single from Gayle's debut EP A Study of the Human Experience Volume One, ABCDEFU topped the Billboard Global 200 chart and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and dominated Instagram for as long as one can remember.

7. Pitbull

Did you ever think you’d hear Pitbull’s Give Me Everything be accompanied by dancers donning top hats and muslin gowns? Neither did we, but there’s a first time for everything!
