Maheep Kapoor is a successful jewellery designer, who is married to actor and film producer Sanjay Kapoor. Before launching her jewellery line, she was a model and had a few acting stints. She was also the runner-up at the Miss India pageant in 1993.
Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor got married in 1998 and have two children: Jahaan and Shanaya Kapoor. The latter will be making her acting debut in an upcoming project with South actor Mohanlal, titled Vrushabha.

Maheep Kapoor studied fashion and jewellery designing in Australia before trying her luck in modelling and acting. Currently, she is actively involved in two business ventures: Satyani Fine Jewels with Shravan Satyani and multi-hyphenated Karan Johar's jewellery brand Tyaani. In an interview with Entrepreneur India, she shared details about her first project with Satyani. "I think the first pieces I designed for Satyani were big Chandbalis. I stuck to the traditional concept because I don't particularly appreciate doing trendy pieces or pieces that you spend money on and after a couple of years, your daughter is not interested in wearing them," she said.
In 2020, Maheep Kapoor, along with Neelam Kothari Soni, Bhavana Pandey, and Seema Khan, featured in a Netflix reality show, titled Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The show gave the audience a glimpse of their glitzy lifestyle. The show's success motivated the makers to return with another season in 2022. The upcoming third season, titled Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Lives, will follow the Bollywood wives, who will step out of their comfort zone, and move to a new city to compete with Delhi's best-known divas. The third season will also feature Riddhima Kapoor Sahni (wife of Bharat Sahni), Shalini Passi (wife of PASCO Group chairman Sanjay Passi), and Kalyani Saha Chawla (ex-wife of Vishal Chawla).
