Enemies
Green Imp
Green imps are among the most common enemies, and thankfully they're easy to defeat. You can kill a green imp with simple melee combos, or execute a parry for an instant kill. All of their attacks, when parried, will result in counter attacks. To perform the flora finisher, simply Power Slash through their dying body.
Red Imp
Red imps are a bit more aggressive than their green counterparts. They've got a projectile attack you'll need to watch for, especially if you're engaging other imps and have a red imp behind you, off camera. Like the green imp, all attacks from the red imp can be counter attacked, making for easy kills. To perform a flora finisher, simply Power Slash through the enemy's dying body.
Yellow Imp
These imps are a bit tricker than their other colored counterparts. Yellow imps will travel underground and pop up for attacks with their taiko drums. It's difficult to do much damage using melee strikes before a yellow imp goes back underground. The quickest way to kill them is to wait for an attack and then parry it. Like the other imps, all yellow imp attacks can be countered (including the drum slam). To perform a flora finisher, simply Power Slash through the enemy's dying body.
Blue Imp
Imps get a bit more difficult when they take to the air. These flying baddies are tough to attack while flying, so use a Power Slash or Galestorm brush technique to knock them to the ground. You can parry their projectile attack but it won't result in a counter attack, though the rest of their strikes are fully counterable. To peform a flora finisher, draw a Galestorm brush stroke over their dying body.
Black Imp
Black imps are surrounded by floating skulls that will attack you if you don't attack them first. Use Power Slashes to knock out the skulls before engaging the black imp in combat. To perform a flora finisher, simply Powr Slash through the enemy's dying body.
Bud Ogre
Fighting bud ogres is a multi-part affair that requires you to open them up with a Bloom brush stroke before you can damage their core. Use Power Slash brush strokes to intercept their flying fruit attacks and send 'em flying back into the bud ogre. You can also open up the bud ogre by rapidly attacking with melee combos. To perform a flora finisher, draw a Bloom brush stroke over the dying body.
Chimera
Like the bud ogre, the chimera enemy is invulnerable to most attacks. Still, you'll need to unload melee combos before the enemy will reveal its weakness. When the chimera turns gray, perform a Power Slash to deal massive damage. But watch out for the fiery attack that the chimera often uses as a defense. You can parry the attack to avoid taking damage, but you won't execute a counter. To perform a flora finisher, execute a Power Slash through the dying enemy.
Dead Fish
These flying baddies will float around and toss fins that spiral towards Amaterasu. Perform a Power Slash on the fins to knock them back into the dead fish to deal damage. You can also knock the dead fish down using a Power Slash to make combat easier. When the enemy is flying, watch for a burst of smoke that preempts a diving melee attack. You can parry this for a counter attack, but the timing is difficult. To perform a flora finisher, execute a Power Slash through the dying carcass.
Crow Tengu
Immediately knock a crow tengu out of the air with a Power Slash to force a ground fight. When you see the crow tengu throw up a skull, be prepared to quickly parry for a powerful counter attack. The crow tengu isn't vulnerable to many attacks otherwise, making it hard to defeat them. To perform a flora finisher, use the Galestorm brush technique as the enemy dies.
