Up to three BLACK SWIFTS were above Claremont from June 21-23. The most reliable spot is here 34.1512, -117.7127 along Cobal Canyon Motorway above Claremont Wilderness Park.
Three WESTERN CATTLE EGRETS were in the Sepulveda Basin in Van Nuys on June 23.
A BROAD-WINGED HAWK continued on San Clemente Island through June 26.
The continuing YELLOW-HEADED CARACARA in Lomita was reported through June 27. It has been hanging around the Target parking lot at Narbonne Ave. and PCH. Patience may be required.
Three CLARK’S NUTCRACKERS were at the Piute Ponds on Edwards AFB (letter of permission required for access) on June 21. On June 26, a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was briefly seen there.
A SUMMER TANAGER was in Area 3 of El Dorado Park in Long Beach on June 21.
