About us
BETA Technologies is creating an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable and sustainable. A relentlessly focused team is building an extensive charging infrastructure and ALIA, the world’s most technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft (EVA). BETA’s platform and products are strikingly simple. Prioritization of safety and a pragmatic approach to certification drive elegant redundancy, appropriate diversity of implementation and simplicity of control. ALIA’s fixed-pitch propellers and centrally located batteries make it an inherently stable aircraft that is safe to fly and easy to maneuver.

ALIA is back home after a quick summer road trip! Over the past month, we’ve executed evaluative deployments with two Major Commands of the United States Air Force – the Air Combat Command and the Air Mobility Command – carrying out real-time missions such as critical resupply, cargo delivery, medical evacuation simulations, and asset relocation. Huge thanks to the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena, Michigan; the Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware; the McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington County, New Jersey; and AFWERX for their support and partnership.

Great news for the industry today from Archer and Signature Aviation. We're glad to deepen ties with two of our partners as we all work to grow the charge network and get ready for operations.
INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION | We're excited to announce our infrastructure deal with Signature Aviation, which is intended to provide us access to the world's largest network of over 200 airports. Here are the main takeaways: ✈️ The agreement identifies initial opportunities to launch air taxi services in key airports globally, including United Airlines hubs at Newark International and Chicago O’Hare Airports, as early as the end of 2025 🌎 Archer and Signature plan to electrify Signature’s industry-leading network of private aviation terminals, which could give Archer access to over 200 takeoff and landing sites across the U.S. and globally, including NY, LA, the SF Bay Area, and Texas 🔋 Archer and Signature plan to install BETA TECHNOLOGIES’s rapid charging systems which uses the standard endorsed by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) https://lnkd.in/gp4UQ_4y

Thanks to all those in Congress who worked to pass the bipartisan Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization bill today. This legislation reauthorizes the FAA and includes provisions that will advance the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry and enable investments in infrastructure that will help bring low-cost electric aviation to communities around the country!

"We’ve been testing over the last several years, all of the different data points to bring [ALIA] through what we call ‘transition,’ which is the point at which it’s flying like a helicopter to flying like an airplane (and back again). And, today, we’re going to thread them all together.” - Kyle Clark

It was great to visit with the team at Joint Base Cape Cod last week! We thank them and our partners at AFWERX for their continued support as we collaborate on missions that demonstrate the future of operational capabilities for the United States Department of Defense.
AFWERX Prime partner, BETA Technologies, arrived with their all-electric aircraft ALIA to Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) on Friday, March 8. This marked the first electric aircraft visit and charge on a joint military base in Massachusetts. The visit allowed for officials from the US Army, U.S. Coast Guard and United States Air Force to explore potential use cases for the United States Department of Defense/U.S. Department of Homeland Security applications. Planning is underway for a joint collaboration concept of operations (CONOP) exercise later this year with BETA and local units. The AFWERX Agility Prime program works to expand technology transition paths to accelerate emerging dual-use transformative vertical lift markets by leveraging government resources for rapid and affordable fielding.
