Nature Conservancy 

Native Conservancy is seeking a full-time Advancement Director with significant grants management and fundraising experience to work closely in partnership with the President and Leadership Team while providing direction to the Advancement team. Advancement Director 

: The Wy’east Nursing Pathway is a nursing, post-baccalaureate (or post-bachelor's degree) health education pathway designed for American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) learners who are committed to becoming nurses and advanced practice nurses. The objectives of the Wy’east Nursing Pathway are:

To build upon scholars’ knowledge in core topic areas while preparing them for the rigorousness of an accelerated nursing program

To amplify scholars’ strengths and resiliencies by imparting tools, skills, and resources that facilitate academic and personal self-efficacy and success (e.g., evidence-based study methods)

To promote scholars’ sense of cultural connectedness and community through immersion in a rich Indigenous community, Indigenous coursework, and cultural activities.

The Wy’east Nursing Pathway begins with an initial 3-month tuition-free preparatory period from late March through early June of each calendar year, after which you receive a certificate of completion and matriculate into the School of Nursing at OHSU.

As a Wy’east Nursing scholar, you will then receive support and guidance throughout the 15-months required to complete the 

 (ABS) or the 15-month plus 3 years required for the ABS to 

 (PMHNP) Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) Programs.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assists in the development, establishment and maintenance of proper accounting procedures and internal control processes to ensure that the financial accounting records, financial reports, management reports, and financial budgets are accurate, complete, and timely and presented in a professional manner. The controller will be responsible for the annual audit and other audits by the different agencies. • Reviews cash management procedures regarding grant advances or reimbursements and other revenue streams for compliance with policies and assists with implementation of cash drawers. Does monthly bank reconciliations. • Manages general ledger accounting, including reconciling all balance sheet accounts (bank reconciliation, and general accounts receivables, payroll liability accounts), and coding of expenditures to proper budget accounts as well as chart of accounts. • Process and post indirect rates allocation monthly in a timely manner. • Assists with the preparation of the annual budget (Bureau of Indian Affairs, Indian Health Service, tribal contracts and/or grants, as well as gaming and non-gaming enterprises) and processes for all tribal funds and departments, including preparation of initial budgets. Monitors plans and projects and reports progress on a monthly, or more frequent, basis to the Chief Financial Officer. Posting of approved budget in MIP accounting system. • Assist Program Managers in their budget reports, changes in budget and posting changes in MIP. Provide Program Managers with their budget reports. • Assists with the preparation of forms, reports, and other required documents necessary for compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements related to contracts and grants. • Supports tribal executive level managers in the day-to-day cost control and financial performance of each program. • Reviews internal controls and assists with establishing policies and procedures at the management level to ensure adequate safeguard of assets. • Performs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls. • Supervises accounting support staff to ensure proper compliance with, and execution of, accounting policies and procedures as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures. • Reviews and monitors the work-product of accounting staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and proper presentation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll tax and other accounting information. • Understands fully, manages, coordinates and trains staff regarding the computer hardware and software systems used in the fiscal department. • Assist and give staff training in coding deposits and expenses. • Manage and give new users Microix and MIP access and passwords to the systems. • Manage and update the Microix workflow to ensure the approvers are the right staff. • Assist in giving the departments training in using Microix. • Assist in training departments to view their departmental revenue and expenses. • Review and approve the Accounts Payable before printing checks. • Review and approve the payroll before printing checks. • Assist in audit. Make sure the clinic and fiscal staff are ready in their reports and back-ups for the audit. • Prepare Grant Analysis for auditors. • Other duties as assigned.

Susanville Indian Rancheria 

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will assist with the design, operations, and control of effective administrative procedures related to accounting, payroll, property control, procurement and operational budgets for tribal governmental funds as well as the implementation of new accounting software modules. The Controller will be assisting with the training of clinic and tribal staff with these implementations. Day-to-day general ledger responsibilities, accounts receivable, payroll and tax compliance for tribal entities, including month end close of asset and liabilities will be the responsibility of the Controller.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A. Ability to be bonded. B. Demonstrated ability to understand and comprehend the different business and program activities of the tribal government to support the compliance requirements for various agencies. C. Extensive computer skills, excel, word, accounting system preferably Microix and MIP. D. Knowledge of the Uniform Guidance. E. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. F. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with emphasis in accounting or finance. Master’s degree is preferred. 7. Ten (10) years-experience working in the accounting field including a minimum of five (5) years management experience in the accounting field, minimum of three (3) years in governmental accounting or three (3) years-experience in for-profit business accounting, with emphasis on financial analysis and/or business startup. 8. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience maintaining and operating a budget for a complex organization with multiple funding sources and departments. 9. Experience as a supervisor or manager. 10. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare Financial Status Report Forms for appropriate agency and funding sources according to grant and contract requirements. • Maintain grant award files, contract records, and files for all funding agencies in Fund order as established. • Prepare billing for appropriate signatures, request for payments and submit payment requests for all contract and funding agencies on a timely basis. Do drawdowns monthly. • Assist Program Directors and Department Heads with preparation of contract applications and modifications with appropriate Federal, State, Indian Health Service (IHS), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Department of Justice (DOJ), and all other granting agencies. • Provide financial information to Federal and State agencies, Program Directors, Department Heads, and other authorized staff upon request. • Prepare documents, files, etc. as requested by independent auditors during annual audit. • Assist Program Directors and Department Heads with any questions related to the program funds. • Assist Program Directors and Department Heads with budget changes and post changes to MIP. • Develop contractual terms and conditions associated with Tribe Programs, Services, Functions, and Activities (PSFA) that are implemented in contractual agreements. • Prepare quarterly and yearly SF 425 (Financial Status Report) for all grants and contracts. • Conduct internal program implementation assessment to ensure financial, procurement, property control and programmatic requirements are enforced. • Monitor grant budgets monthly and ensure expenses are not over or under budget. Inform Program Managers and Department Heads if budget is overspent. • Prepare grants and contract documents (i.e., pre-award, post-award, and close-out documentation), administrative appeal packages, formal citations or rebuttals, audit recommendations, position papers and other material for use in administrative proceedings both internal and external or compliance actions. • Assist in annual audit. • Facilitates the preparation and submission of grant reimbursement draw request to the awarding agency in a timely manner. • Facilitates the preparation and submission of all grants required reports and close out arrangements with granting agencies in accordance with the terms of the grant agreements. • Other duties as assigned.

Performs duties and responsibilities of compliance Accountant ranging from trainee to journey level competencies (See (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) below) to ensure and support compliance with tribally enforced Tribal, State and Federal laws, regulations, rules, guidelines, policies, procedures, and program requirements and perform related work as required.

Mi'kmaq Nation

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Deputy Director Nurse Practitioner (FNP)/Primary Care Provider is responsible for the direct and comprehensive primary, preventive, and therapeutic medical and nursing care across the patient life span, i.e., geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and infant patients and their families of the Micmac community. The FNP will work autonomously as the solo provider in the facility, performing most assignments independently, and is self-directed with considerable latitude in performing duties, seeking the guidance of a general physician as needed. The FNP resolves most conflicts and uses individual judgment and clinical judgment skills to develop new procedures, practices, and approaches to care for patients

EDUCATION (AND PERTINENT EXPERIENCE): Officially accredited to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by AANP or ANCC with at least five years' experience. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess current and valid unrestricted Maine license (or eligible for) from the State Board of Nursing for Advanced Nursing Practice. Meet all state requirements and obtain valid Prescriptive Authority and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licensure. Be BLS certified and possess a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance. Mi'kmaq Nation 

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Medical Support Assistant (MSA) Technician (hereinafter, the MSA Tech) is responsible for helping to identify and assist ABM Community members through the process of becoming eligible for Direct and Purchased and Referred Care services. The MSA Tech will work at the front desk to assist in patient registration, answering phones, helping with completing alternate resource applications, scheduling functions, and processing referrals to include retrieving and scanning medical records as needed.

EDUCATION (AND PERTINENT EXPERIENCE): High School Diploma or GED with preference for an Associate’s Degree in a related field (ex. Medical Office Assistant) and/or at least two (2) years’ experience working in office administration. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION: Possess a valid driver’s license. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED: Basic computer skills. Understanding of basic medical terminology and procedures. Excellent communication (both written and oral), and organizational skills. Ability to deal effectively with people, and be sensitive to the needs of the people. WORKING ENVIRONMMENT: Regular office environment, primarily on-site. Medical Support Assistant Technician II

1. Advises and represents Tribal Council, Tribal Administration, Tribal Enterprises, and the Tribal Programs in matters involving federal, state, local, and tribal law.2. Reviews contracts, grants, leases, and other legal documents and presents interpretations on legal content prior to signing and submission of documents.3. Drafts and reviews tribal resolutions, ordinances, policies, and governmental procedures on behalf of the Hoopa Valley Tribal Council and its departments and entities as requested.4.  Directly supervises employees in the Office of Tribal Attorney. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Hoopa Valley Tribe

The Senior Tribal Attorney is responsible for providing legal advice, representation, drafting, research, and opinions on a wide range of matters as requested by Tribal Administration, Tribal Programs, and Tribal Enterprises. Major responsibilities include: tribal policy development, legal research and drafting, review of business contracts and facilitation of economic development efforts, representation in civil and administrative proceedings, negotiations with local, state, and federal agencies, and other duties as assigned. Will also work closely with the Tribe’s legal team and other attorneys with whom the Tribe has contracted for specific additional legal representation. Administrative duties include: preparing annual departmental budgets, assisting the Hoopa Valley Tribal Council (and its various departments and entities) in allocating its legal resources in a cost-effective manner, supervising outside counsel, and hiring/managing Office of Tribal Attorney staff.

This will include technical writing and presentations to diverse audiences;· Ability to analyze complex problems and situations and to propose quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action;· Ability to organize information (maintain organized files, notes, and records) and be able to organize, and plan multiple tasks and projects;· Maintain personal integrity and cultural sensitivity; and· Ability to check, analyze workload/caseload to determine effectiveness and determine future needs. 

Must be a graduate of an A.B.A. approved Law School; Juris Doctor (JD) Degree. Must be licensed to practice law in any state of the United States, preferably California, and obtain admission to the Hoopa Valley Tribal Court Bar. At least four (4) years of experience practicing Federal Indian Law or providing legal services to Tribal Governments.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.9. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds.10.
