"Bravo and CBS Stars Clash in 'The Traitors' Season 3: Cast Revealed"

Did you see the news? Peacock just announced the cast for season 3 of The Traitors, and boy is this cast good. Like chaotically good in a way, I'm lowkey nervous about. Let's break it down.

Every season there seems to be a war between Bravo and CBS reality celebrities, and it seems like they're wanting even more of that this season. From Bravo, we've got Chanel Ayan (The Real Housewives of Dubai), Dolores Catania (Real Housewives of New Jersey), Robyn Dixon (Real Housewives of Potomac), Dorinda Medley (Real Housewives of New York City), Ciara Miller (Summer House), and most shocking of them all, Tom Sandoval (Vanderpump Rules). From CBS, we've got Jeremy Collins (Survivor), Britney Haynes (Big Brother), "Boston" Rob Mariano (Survivor), Danielle Reyes (Big Brother), Tony Vlachos (Survivor), and Carolyn Wiger (Survivor). That's literally half the cast, so you just know they're leaning into this channel rivalry, and I'm very here for it.

Also in the mix this season are Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul's Drag Race), Wells Adams (The Bachelorette), Dylan Efron (Zac Efron's brother), Nikki Garcia (Total Divas), Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser), Lord Ivar Mountbatten (British nobility), Chrishell Stause (Selling Sunset) and Gabby Windey (The Bachelorette).

If you need to catch up on past seasons, you should, because everyone is going to be talking about this new season. (You should also listen to my chat with last season's winners Chris 'C.T.' Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella.) I expect there to be lots of drama with the Housewives, particularly from Robyn, Dolores, and Dorinda. Those three are going to be a team. The Survivor/Big Brother block is going to unite—particularly Boston 'Rob,' Tony, and Jeremy from Survivor. The outliers are going to be Bob the Drag Queen and Carolyn from Survivor, who people will underestimate, but I fully see them secretly dominating... or even being traitors.

They haven't announced when the new season will premiere. However, it should air later this year or early next year.

OK, here's what else is poppin' in the world of pop culture...

  • The internet is worried about Martin Lawrence's health. The actor and comedian told Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning that "I am fine. I am in God's hands. I am blessed. I am glad to be waking up every day and everything. No need for people to be concerned. I am healthy as hell. Stop the rumors." The rumors started while Lawrence and Will Smith were promoting their new Bad Boys: Ride or Diemovie, where Lawrence has often appeared sluggish. The movie hits theaters this Friday.
  • Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak recently said that he didn't think Vanna White had a chance at the job because she was so "nervous" during her audition. "I mean her lips were trembling, and she was perspiring," Sajak said in a video posted to the Wheel of Fortune YouTube channel. Can I be real? I've never liked Sajak and don't feel like he ever treated White as his equal. So, his retirement later this week can't come soon enough for me. Ryan Seacrest will take over hosting duties after Sajak. (I'm also lukewarm on Seacrest. Maybe I'm the problem?)
  • Rebel Wilson is weighing in on whether straight actors should be able to play queer roles. "I think you should be able to play any role that you want," Wilson recently told BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. I agree with her, but for me, that really isn't the issue. Yes, everybody should be able to play any role, but the kicker is who is allowed to play any role. Can you name 10 openly queer actors? Probably not, and that's because we don't allow queer actors to play roles that will make them famous enough to play any role. Things are changing, but they're not there yet.

That's all for me today! I'll be back Friday. Keep scrolling for more entertainment news!

Comedian Ian Karmel Comes to Terms with His Inner Fat Kid

By H. Alan Scott

When you've been a fat kid, a little bit of that fat kid stays with you, no matter if you stay fat or not. But how to cope with that? Well, that's exactly what comedian Ian Karmel and his sister, Alisa Karmel, PsyD, aim to tackle in their poignant memoir T-Shirt Swim Club: Stories From Being Fat in a World of Thin People (June 11).

"I've seen so often that people's representation with fat was either as a punchline or as an object of pity. And I hated that we were either Cartman [from South Park] or the whale," Ian says. The two write about growing up fat and not addressing it. Eventually Ian's weight would reach 420 pounds when he decided to lose the weight, but not his humor.

"I had two goals in writing my part of this book, which was to be as honest and as vulnerable as possible and even harsh on myself. And be clear about my opinions and my feelings and what I went through. I was like, if I'm gonna get my story out here, and help my sister get her story out there and her professional opinions too, I'm gonna have to do it through being funny."
