LSU head coach Jay Johnson carries the lineup card to home plate for the meeting with the umpires before the game against Auburn on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

UC San Diego right-handed pitcher Anthony Eyanson has committed to LSU baseball out of the transfer portal, he revealed on social media Wednesday.

Eyanson was selected to participate on the U.S. Collegiate National Team this summer after posting a 3.07 ERA in 82 innings this past season. He struck out 85 batters and walked 24.

He spent two seasons at UC San Diego. As a freshman in 2023, he had a 4.34 ERA in 29 innings.

Eyanson was the No. 52 right-handed pitcher in California from the Class of 2022, according to Perfect Game.

Eyanson is the 12th player LSU has added out of the portal and the seventh right-handed pitcher to join the Tigers. This offseason they've already brought in South Florida transfer Chandler Dorsey, Wofford transfer Zac Cowan, Mount St. Mary's transfer Deven Sheerin, Dallas Baptist transfer Connor Benge, Nicholls State transfer Jacob Mayers and Indiana State transfer Luke Hayden.

The Tigers also have four incoming high school signees who are right-handed pitchers.
