LSU baseball will be well-represented at MLB All-Star Week in Arlington, Texas.

Former LSU star pitcher Paul Skenes is on track to become the fifth rookie pitcher in league history to start the All-Star Game, just a little more than a year after guiding the Tigers to their seventh national championship.

Two of his former teammates, Tre Morgan and Dylan Crews, are also set to be featured prominently during the All-Star festivities.

Crews is set to play the in the MLB All-Star Futures Game for the National League, and Morgan will participate in the inaugural Futures Skills Showcase while representing the American League.

The Futures Game is a seven-inning showcase between the top prospects from the American and National leagues. This year is the 25th anniversary of the game.

The Futures Skills Showcase is a new event that tests eight hitters, including Morgan, in a competition that will have three hitting challenges — Hit it Here, Call Your Shot and Swing for the Fences.

The challenges are designed to test each participants power, bunting skills and ability to place the ball in certain areas of the field while at the plate.

Crews, a top prospect in the Washington Nationals organization, has eight home runs and a .764 OPS in 71 minor-league games this season. He started this year in Double-A and hit five homers in 51 games before getting promoted to Triple-A in June.

According to MLB.com, Crews is the No. 4 prospect in all of baseball.

Morgan has four homers and a .945 OPS in 57 games across Single-A and High-A. The Tampa Bay Rays prospect has a 1.035 OPS with High-A Bowling Green after he was promoted in May.

He is the No. 13 prospect in the Rays' minor-league system, according to MLB.com.

The MLB All-Star Futures Game and the Futures Skill Showcase will take place Saturday at Globe Life Field. The game starts at 3:10 p.m. on MLB Network.

The skills showcase will begin after the game but won't be televised until 9 a.m. Sunday on MLB Network.
