The New Orleans Saints will play host to the Denver Broncos in a nationally televised game on Thursday, Oct. 17, multiple sources said Wednesday.
The game, which will be played in prime time on Amazon Prime's Thursday Night Football, will mark the first official visit to New Orleans for Broncos head coach Sean Payton since he stepped down as Saints head coach in 2022.
The Saints' full regular season schedule will be released later on Wednesday.
Payton lasted 16 years as the Saints' head coach, leading the franchise to its first Super Bowl in 2009, beating the Indianapolis Colts to bring the Lombardi Trophy to New Orleans.
The Broncos traded with the Saints for the opportunity to hire Sean Payton in early 2023, sending three draft picks to New Orleans.
