Allen Cox has been the editor of Northwest Travel & Life since 2011. He has been freelance writing, editing, and authoring guidebooks for a few decades. Before that, his work life included a management career in corporate America. He recoups his energy in the kitchen by creating something delicious (yes, he’s a Cancer). Call him strange, but he loves dark, moody Northwest winter days.

NWTL Creative Director, Digital Strategies Director

Before joining Premier Media Group in 2022, Lindsey Freeman worked as a freelance art director and brand designer for clients across the United States. Lindsey loves to cook and is always putting her twist on new recipes. Her current ingredient obsessions are halloumi, pomegranate, and butter beans. She also enjoys audiobooks, disc golf, scoping out local concerts, and brewery run clubs.

Favorite weekend adventure: Snow Lake; it’s a steep hike but it has beautiful views in the summer. Hit up Dru Bru and Pie for the People for an after-hike cooldown.

Talent or interest: I can toss and catch 50-plus goldfish in a row.

Go-to dining: I love to explore local breweries. I can’t pick a favorite; they are all so unique.
